Play Time

Author's Note: Welcome, lovely reader! Thank you for giving this story a chance. I have been writing a lot in the past few months, especially with winning NaNoWriMo this past month! I'm very excited because I can definitely see room for improvement, but I've also realized just how much I love writing. Sorry for not contributing to the Beck/Tori section for a while, but this is a piece from a novel that I ended up realizing I wasn't qualified to write. It is based on a dream I had about a first kiss and anything adorable fits my favorite couple, right? On to the drabble!

Disclaimer: I do not own Victorious.

Beck decided to let this date be unlike any other he had been on. When he thought back, he really only had ever had two girlfriends, and neither was as happy about the simple things as Tori was. She had been a little overwhelmed recently, getting involved in everything just because she was Tori Vega, and she couldn't say no. He had spent all week trying to pamper her with massages and surprise visits, but he would always end up leaving sooner than planned as she realized how much was left unchecked on her To-Do list. Beck insisted that this Friday night be reserved especially for the two of them though. So, after dinner, he decided to take her back to childhood when everything was simpler.

"You brought me to a playground?!" she shrieked excitedly. Beck nodded proudly. "YES! You're the best! I haven't been to one in so long!"

Tori wrapped her arms around him for a mere second before jumping towards the swings and pushing herself higher into the air. Beck sat down on the swing beside Tori's and hardly let his feet dangle in the air. His boots kept hitting the mulch, but somehow, just being in the playground around the bright yellow slide and multicolored dome made him feel like an eight-year-old again. Beck could feel rushing freedom even without being in the sky, the ability to let go of everything and just focus on now. Dim streetlights were lined around the rectangular play area at the edge of the residential community. The only sound he could hear was of the leaves flapping lightly on the nearby trees and Tori's incessant squealing. Beck looked up to see waves of brown hair flap back and forth against the dark night sky. Tori's smile was prominent and bright on her face, but of course, it was enhanced by her squeals of pleasure.

After about five minutes of Tori's heavy swinging, she felt the metal bars supporting the swing shake and slowed herself down. She hadn't noticed that Beck had gotten up from his swing and was now standing two feet away from hers. Tori looked up to see him smirking and asked him suspiciously, "What?"

He grabbed the rusted chains on either side of her as she nearly came to a halt and bent down into a kneeling stance. Beck's head was about a foot lower than Tori's, and both of them kept smiles on their faces. He could see the perplexed expression present on her face. He held the bottom of the chains and leaned upward at an angle, the only way his head would reach hers. It was at that moment that Beck and Tori had their first kiss, in a children's playground, at nine at night.

Tori, as usual, kept smiling even through the kiss and made Beck laugh at the fact that she just couldn't get into the kiss. The both of them ended up giggling like children with Beck letting his head fall onto Tori's shoulder. Their laughs echoed through the empty night.
