A/N: And here's yet another oneshot. Oneshot ideas crowd my head much more than multichapters, but I promise I'll eventually put a few of those out too.

Disclaimer: Sadly, Black Butler is not mine.

Eight-year-old Ciel smiled at Lizzy. He liked the girl. He knew that they were supposed to get married when they were older. He didn't really understand it, but he knew that it meant they would be together forever. And he liked Lizzy, so that was okay.

Lizzy looked down from the stars and smiled at him. Then she pointed up at a star. "Look at that star, Ciel! It's so bright!"

Ciel looked at it and immediately knew which star she meant. "Wow! It really is bright!"

"That's my star, Ciel! I heard it always stays in the same place, so you can use it to find your way!" She looked at him and smiled again, barely visible in the dim moonlight. "It'll always help you find your way, Ciel."

Ciel smiled back and nodded. He laughed. "Well, if that star's yours, then that star is mine!" He pointed at the biggest star on the big dipper. Lizzy's eyes sparkled at the unspoken challenge and she pointed to another.

"Then that star's mine!"

"And that one is mine!"

"That one is mine, then!"

Before long, they fell back onto the grass as they lost track of which stars they had claimed and which ones they hadn't, laughing.

"I love stars," Ciel told Lizzy. "They're so bright and they sparkle even brighter than diamonds do."

Lizzy nodded in agreement. "And they're so high up, too! Nothing is higher than the sky. Nothing could ever possibly touch the sun, and it shines even brighter than stars. It makes everything seem so pretty."

"But everything is exposed in the light of day," Ciel pointed out. "I like the night much better. The moonlight makes everything seem so mysterious."

"But the sun is so pretty, and it makes things grow. The night is kind of scary, anything could be hidden and we would never know."

"The moon shines just enough to see, and the mystery is what makes the night so interesting."

"So the sun and the moon are both fascinating," Elizabeth eventually conceded. "If we were like them, I would be the sun and you would be the moon. But we aren't, because the sun and the moon are never together. There's always just one or the other."

Ciel turned over onto his stomach and smiled again. "But we'll be together forever, won't we, Lizzy?"

Lizzy nodded, smiling. "Of course we will, Ciel!"

"Promise?"

"I swear it by the moon and the sun and every star I claim as mine," she smiled.

"Then I do, too," Ciel replied, and there they stayed, side by side in the grass until Ciel's mum came and brought them inside.

Yay! I love Little!Ciel. He's so cute! Anyway, I hope you liked that, even if it - following the trend of most of my oneshots - was a bit short. Please review! Bye!
