I may try and write another story since its summer and I have no classes to take (yay!). so please read and review! I hope you like this!
Part II
Mike and Artie shared a look after Mercedes' departure from the choir room. The look clearly said, something smells fishy, like Sammy. Artie nodded at Mike and, as if they were reading each other's' minds, they headed for the door. Just as they were exiting the room, Finn came walking through the office entrance. That's when everyone in the room became aware of just what was going on. A look was shared, one similar to Mike and Artie's, amongst those in the room before they all headed towards the auditorium. Once they all cleared the room, Finn looked around completely confused.
"Uh, what just happened?" Finn looked between the empty chairs and the doorway before Brittany came walking back into the room.
"Come on Finn! You're gonna miss the reunion." Brittany smiled brightly as she pulled Finn by the arm through the door.
"Didn't that already happen?"
With a small giggle and a shake of her head, Brittany led Finn to catch up with the others.

As Mercedes stared up into Sam's eyes, she couldn't help but remember all the times they had shared together. The summer after they returned from New York, the day he left for Kentucky, the moment he declared he would win her back, the nights spent awake for endless hours. Everything flashed through her minds at the speed of sound, bringing the brightest smile ever to be seen across her lips.
"I love you Sam, and I want to make this work. I want to be with you."
Sam raised his head to the heavens before capturing her lips between his own. I want to be with you…With YOU. It repeated itself in his mind as their lips danced in the most intimate of ways. Before long, his tongue slipped between her soft lips to caress her tongue. His arms wrapped around her thick waist, one hand crawling up her back and the other traveling south to rest gently above her backside. He tighten his hold on her and even as he parted to breath, he never relinquished his hold on her.
"I love you too, so freaking much." Mercedes laughed in response as her hand crept up to cradle his cheek. He turned his head to kiss her palm, reveling in the feel of skin against his. "I love you." He mumbled against her hand.
They shared a smile before going in for another kiss. This one, however, was interrupted by the loud applause and cheers of their closest friends. A chorus of, "Yay," "Go Samcedes!", "Finally," filled the spacious auditorium, causing a wave of laughs to erupt within Mercedes and Sam. The New Directions made their way down the stairs, with Brittany and Tina leading the bunch, and onto the stage to encase the newly reunited couple the biggest group hug.
As the group dispersed, Tina exploded into sobs. She threw herself onto Mercedes, wrapping her arms around her mid-section. Mercedes looked around with a look of slight confusion before wrapping Tina up as well, gently rubbing her friend's upper back. At that moment Tina's shoulders began shaking almost violently with loud sobs escaping her mouth.
"I'm so…ha-ha-happy for you. I-I-I love you g-g-g-uys so mmm-mmuch." Tina barely managed to get the words out before the sobs started up again.
Mercedes laughed at the poor girl still rubbing her back caring, "Aw, Tina. I love you too, babe. You don't have to cry."
"I can't help it… I'm just…. I'm just…I'm really happy for you!" Tina calmed herself down as threw her arms around Mercedes again. Mercedes tightly gripped up Tina, feeling the emotions bursting from the young Asian girl.
"I know T. Thank you." Mercedes looked up to meet Sam's eyes with a smile.
She was glad she came back to Lima. Before she had agreed to come, she debated why she should. And Sam was the answer she always came back to, and, as if the universe was speaking to her, a picture of her and Sam had fallen into view as she sat at her desk in LA. As she had stared at the identical smiles on her face and Sam's, she knew she had to come back.
And as she stared into Sam's eyes, Mercedes couldn't be happier.
Flash Forward : 7 months
"Sam hurry up or we're gonna be late!" Mercedes shouted up the stairs of her childhood home. It was time for Sam's graduation of course, he was late.
"I'm coming. This freaking tie won't coporate!" Mercedes could hear the struggle in Sam's voice as she tried to contain her laughter.
"Babe, will you just come down here. I could've helped with that and we would've left 30 minutes ago." Mercedes began to walk up the stairs but Sam was already stomping out of her bedroom and down the stairs. She jumped back when Sam appeared directly in front of her, his tie hanging loosely around his neck. She laughed again at his childish expression, "You excited? You're finally graduating! And you got in to UCLA! I can't believe you're coming out to LA." Mercedes spoke with nothing but happiness lacing her words.
Sam couldn't stop the smile spreading across his face as he looked down at his girlfriend. "I can. I waited seven months to finally be with you out there." He circled his arms around her waist and pulled her tight against him, the tie long forgotten about.
Mercedes ran her hands up to his shoulders and cupped the back of his neck, "Same here. Now lets get this tie on so I can see my baby walk across that stage!" She bopped his nose and finished with his tie just in time to hear her front door open.
Kurt barged in with Blaine hot on his tails, "Let's go lovebirds, some people have to graduate around here." He smiled knowingly at Blaine and Sam before reaching for Mercedes' hand and walking out the door. He reached out just before crossing the threshold and grabbed Mercedes' purse then proceeded to his truck.
Sam stared after the path his girlfriend just traveled and laughed a little. He turned to Blaine, who stood at his side, and clapped him on the back before walking after their significant others.
A beaming Mercedes clapped wildly as Sam's name was called and he walked across the auditorium stage. She knew how much this really meant to him. She remembered how much he struggled with his dyslexia and then his father losing his job. Sam had overcome so much before the age of 18 and now here he was, earning his diploma and going to college. She couldn't be more proud of her boyfriend and all his accomplishments.
Once Sam shook hands with Principal Figgins and Mr. Schue, Sam turned to the crowd and sought out Mercedes and his parents. He pointed to them as he held up his diploma mouthing the words, 'I did it!' Mercedes turned to his parents who sat beside her and wrapped her arm around Mrs. Evans, who was tearing up at the sight of her eldest son graduating.
After the final speeches and the switching of the tassels, the entire class of 2014 and their family erupted into cheers that filled the massive room. Sam exchanged hugs with Blaine, Tina, and Artie as they all yelled and cried that it was all over. They had finally done it.
People began exiting the auditorium and filing out of the exits but Sam couldn't follow. Instead, his feet led him back to the stage. So many things had happened on this stage. The many confessions, performances, and wins that had happened on this stage hit Sam like a ton of bricks. He couldn't believe his time at McKinley had come to end. It felt like it was just yesterday he was just arriving at this school and meeting the girl he would always come back to and the friends he would never forget.
A hefty sigh left his lips and Sam plopped himself onto the edge of the stage. His cap sat idle in his hands with the tassel strands grazing his fingertips. A smile etched itself on his lips when the sound of footsteps approaching invaded his ears. He looked up to see his mom, dad, and Mercedes coming towards him. Once his parents were in reach, they snatched him up in a hug so tight. Sam buried his face between their heads and closed his eyes, remembering the last time they hugged this way.
His dad was the first to pull back. He took a gentle hold of Sam's cheek and smiled, "I am so proud of you son. After everything we've been through, you have always been so strong and to see you getting your diploma today… I couldn't be happier. And though I wish you were coming back home, I understand why you're going to LA," He and Mary both looked at Mercedes who was now standing in the Evans' family circle, "and I know you'll be fine."
John wrapped an arm around Mercedes shoulders and dropped a kiss to her forehead before clapping Sam on the shoulder and stepping back.
Mary hugged Sam up one more time before kissing his cheek. "I love you, honey. We'll see you two at Breadsticks, okay?" She walked up to her husband as they headed for the exit, "oh and Sammy, please try not to be late this time okay?" Everyone except Sam laughed at her poke at Sam. Mary and John smiled at the young couple one last time before exiting the room.
Sam leaned forward and pulled Mercedes in between his legs. His hands fell just above the top of her butt while Mercedes' fell onto his biceps. Their foreheads joined together as a collective sigh slipped through both their lips. Sam's thumb drew soft circles into her lower back as Mercedes leaned up to place a kiss on his forehead. A comforting silence covered them like a blanket as they just basked in each other's presence.
A moment passed before Mercedes pulled back to look into Sam's eyes. Her small hands held onto his cheeks as she pecked his lips. Sam sat straighter as he deepened the kiss, his hands running up her back to come to a stop at her neck and mid back.
Their lips broke apart and Mercedes smiled, "Have I told you how proud of you I am?"
Sam pretended to think about before he answered, "Um, this morning. Right before I-"
"Hush," Mercedes placed her finger on his lips, "Come on, we don't want to be late."
Mercedes tried to break away but Sam wouldn't let her, "No, wait. Just stand here with me. Just for a minute."
She felt her knees give way as she looked into his eyes. God, he was beautiful. She couldn't believe he was with her sometimes. But then she remember how gorgeous she was and it all made sense. She stepped forward and back into the arms of her love. They wrapped each other up in their arms, Sam's face buried into her neck and Mercedes' chin tucked away in the nook of his shoulder.
"I love you." A whisper left his lips.
"I love you, too."
As they dwelled in the warmth and love of their embrace, the couple knew their lives were going to be okay. They knew that no matter what happened, in each other's arms is where they belonged.
...
So... what did you think!? I was going to do a time jump to them in New York but I didn't want to go the same way as the show. I hope this was good and I hope you all enjoyed it! until next time :)
