~Epilogue~
"Mmmm."
"Mhhhhmm."
Olivia and Fitz were enjoying the warmth of each others bodies under their large bedroom comforters. They had woken up in a spooning position but it didn't take long before Olivia was on her back with all of Fitz's weight on top of her.
"Hi."
"Hi," she responded with a warm, sleepy smile.
They both relished in that feeling. The house dead silent, the early morning sun barely peeking through their curtains, and their bodies melding together in a loving embrace. Olivia's arms were wrapped around her husbands bare shoulders holding him tightly as he kissed her painfully softly and slowly, wherever he desired his mouth to land. Her neck, shoulders, breasts, collarbone-it didn't matter. All Fitz knew was that he could kiss her like this for a lifetime and he would never get tired or bored.
His large hands began leisurely roaming her petite body. One holding the side of her thigh, the other beginning to knead her breast, lightly tugging at her peaked nipple. He bit at her neck as she kissed the side of his handsome face and used her tongue and teeth to tease his earlobe. His body was easily resting in between her bent knees, giving Olivia the perfect position to feel his rock hard erection. Fitz began slowly grinding it up and down her soaked panties, both of them knowing where they were headed.
"Fitz, wait," she requested breathlessly.
"Uh-uh."
"Yes." Her voice sounded a little more serious now, but she was still straining to speak. Fitz was stimulating her in every way possible.
"Livvie. Baby," he lifted his face to look down at her with a lazy grin. "You cant tell me to wait after I feel how wet you are."
"I know. Sorry. But, you and I both know that we can expect a knock on the door in..." she rolled her head sideways to look at the digital clock on her nightstand and then back at him above her,"...less than six minutes."
Fitz clearly wasn't fazed by their time constraints as he smiled down at her, just as happy as could be.
"Did you hear me?"
He smiled even wider, that charming smile that she couldn't deny was the most beautiful thing she had ever seen.
"You're ignoring me. You know how I love that."
He kept his eyes locked with hers, a naughty smirk creeping at his mouth, refusing to acknowledge anything she had just said. Instead, he shifted the hand from her breast to his cock, pulling it out from his briefs.
"You better not," she warned.
"What?" He asked innocently.
"I'm not kidding, Fitz. We don't have enough time to finish." Even though the words were coming out of her mouth, he knew that if she were truly serious, she would have shut the whole thing down by now.
"We'll be fine," he assured her, sliding her panties to the side.
"Fitzgerald Thomas Grant the Third. Don't you dare."
He lined himself up and lowered his mouth just above hers and whispered in his rich baritone voice, "I love it when you say my full name."
He slowly slid all the way inside of Olivia, capturing her high-pitched moan of pleasure in an open mouthed kiss. Her hips instinctively lifted off of the bed a few small inches as she felt him fill her body with his impressively large member. As her walls adjusted to his size for the millionth time, she fought to catch her breath while her body relaxed once more against their bed. He lowered his head to the crook of her neck and began his smooth hip movements, sliding in and out of his wife with fluid motion.
"God, Fitz," she whined, not wanting him to ever stop. Olivia's hands now wrapped around his muscular arms that framed her body on either side. Her nails lightly digging into his firm biceps.
"Sooooo good. So good, Livvie." He spoke into the beautiful brown skin of her neck before kissing her against her sensitive spot.
"Oh fuck," she said just below a whisper. "Deeper."
Her request was quickly accepted as he buried himself inside of her as far as possible. Fitz lifted his head to watch her reaction at taking his entire length. He slowly shifted one of her legs to get even deeper, causing her eyes to become as wide as saucers. He gritted his teeth, neither making any noise, but both knowing they wouldn't last much longer. He began hitting her spot with short, deliberate thrusts that were sending her right over the edge. She didn't make a sound, only silent screams. They had become professionals at quiet sex. Her mouth hung open and her eyebrows narrowed as Fitz watched his beautiful wife take every last inch of him.
Just a few more thrusts and they would both be enjoying the relaxing pleasure of pure orgasmic bliss. Fitz bit down on his lip, trying desperately not to come before Olivia did. He could tell from the way her eyes began to flutter that she was right there. He lowered his hand from her hip to help her finish. His thumb made contact with her bundle of nerves, pressing down and rubbing in amazingly stimulating motions.
"You're going to come. Aren't you baby?" He growled closely to her as he licked her face.
His sexy voice, and his body, his thumb, and his thick cock hitting her spot were all too much. Her walls began to feel like they would never let him go.
"Come for me, Livvie," he exhaled sternly, "Come."
And, almost, as if on command-
Knock knock knock."Can I come in?"
They both froze in place. Fitz looked over at the door, his mouth hanging open to help his labored breathing, silently praying that he wouldn't see the doorknob turn to open. Olivia looked up at him, trying desperately to pull herself out of her sex-crazed dazed.
Knock knock knock."Mommy? Are you still dreaming? Can I come in?"
This was a new rule for the household: Do not open Mommy and Daddy's bedroom door unless granted permission. It was a rule that had to be made after being interrupted numerous times during completely inconvenient moments.
Knock knock knock.
Somebody had to speak up. Fitz figured he would be the one.
"Sweetheart, just give us a few minutes," he shouted loud enough for their little one on the other side of the door to hear.
"But, whyyyyy?"
"Daddy just got out of the shower," Olivia quickly replied in a strained, high-pitch voice. She was using every ounce of strength just to compose a full sentence. They hated lying to the kids, but this was a subject that wasn't up for discussion that morning. She was irritated now as she pointed to his side of the bed sharply for him to move off of her.
Fitz gave a pleading look but he could tell Olivia meant business. He reluctantly pulled out and rolled over to his side of the bed where he lay flat on his back. Olivia didn't even bother moving from her position, both staring at the ceiling, silently cursing the fact that neither got theirs.
"I'm starving," the child whined from the other side of the door. "It's breakfast time."
"Aubrey, honey, you're not starving," he assured her. "I'll be out in five seconds to make you breakfast, okay sweetheart?"
"One...two...three...-"
"He meant five minutes, Bre," Liv quickly rebounded."Give Daddy five minutes. Go play in the toy room and then we'll come out to make breakfast."
"Okay," the little girl said excitedly as she ran off. Usually the toy room was off limits until later in the day, after she completed one educational task that her parents would pick out for her. But, it was the weekend so Olivia gave their youngest a break. After they were sure that they didn't have anyone at the door anymore, Olivia turned only her head and gave a dirty look as she elbowed her husband.
"And that's why I didn't want to start."
"Livvie," Fitz said as he rolled on his side to look down at her, propped up on his forearm."We can finish. We just bought ourselves time. At least five minutes."
She looked up at Fitz, making a conscious effort not to fall prey to his amazing physique and convincing pouty face.
"Do you really think our daughter isn't counting the seconds until the time is up?" Olivia moved the covers away from her body and rolled out of bed to stand up to go shower. "Put some clothes on. You're on breakfast duty now."
He followed suit and jumped out of bed, grabbing a tshirt and sweatpants before opening their door.
"We'll finish this later, Olivia Pope-Grant."
She gave him a look that made him think he might have to coerce her to make that become a reality. Fitz was soon joined in the kitchen by his little helper.
"Whoaaaa! Who's this little curly haired monster?! I've never seen one of these before in my life!"
The little girl giggled as she latched onto her fathers leg while he pretended to try and walk without her letting go. She was dressed in pink pajama shorts and a hot pink Barbie tshirt.
Aubrey Genevieve Grant was an energetic, talkative, and opinionated girl. She had the same sweet caramel complexion as her older brother, Jackson, but other than that her features were much different. She had inherited light brown curls laced with honey-colored strands, depending on the season. It was always unruly but she hated having it pulled back. The most unique feature she had inherited from either parents were her blue-grey eyes. If you asked Fitz he would say that he was more intrigued by the strong resemblance between her and Olivia. She had the same nose, lips, and perfect cheeks. After she was born, Fitz quickly realized that he could stare at his daughter all day everyday, the same way that he could with his wife.
The high shriek of Aubrey's laughter filled the kitchen as Fitz moved about, pulling out the ingredients for their usual weekend breakfast. Finally, after setting most everything on the island table, he bent down and detached the little girl from his leg. He used both hands to grab her under her arms, and bring her up as her tiny legs wrapped around him. He tightly held her against his chest for a big hug.
"Good morning, my love."
"Morning!" She said enthusiastically as she pulled back and gave her dad an Eskimo kiss. She thought that was one of the funniest things she had ever heard of when her parents explained what it meant, and she refused to give up doing it.
"Tell me something good," he requested, knowing that she was never at a loss for words.
"Jackson stayed up all night."
They were still working on Aubrey's natural reaction to be a tattletale.
"I know that already," he responded dryly. "You don't have to tell on him for doing that."
"But, thats not fair. Why can he stay up all night and I have a bedtime?"
"Well, Jackson doesn't always get to stay up like that. He had Nicholas spend the night. So, we changed the rules a little for him. When you have friends sleep over, don't we change the rules a little?"
"I don't remember." It was only last month, he knew she remembered. As he held her in his arms she played with his hair, tracing her pointer finger only over the silver strands.
"You don't remember?" He asked, staring at her until she looked at him, their eyes matching one another's. She innocently shook her head 'no'. "Well, I do. You had your friend Zoey over from swim class. And Mommy and I built a fort in the living room that you slept in. And then we let you eat as many brownies as you wanted. And, if my memory serves me correctly, I snuck you some ice cream for breakfast before Mommy woke up."
"Ohhhh now I remember!"She gently held her fathers cheeks with her teeny hands, acutely aware of the fact that she could sweet talk him. he smiled at how undeniably cute his daughter always was."Can I have ice cream for breakfast since Mommy isn't up yet?"
"Aubrey, no. That was only because you had a friend over."
"Well, can I have a friend over?"
"Maybe," he responded with a small laugh. "Ask your Mom."
"Daddy, why isn't your hair wet?"
"What?"
"Did you blow dry your hair? Mommy said only big girls blow dry their hair, and thats why I'm not allowed to blowdry my hair. But, she didn't say that big boys blowdry their hair too."
"What are you talking about silly girl?" Fitz sat her on the edge of the island table in the center of the kitchen, leaving her little legs swinging over the side. He handed her a small bowl as he began preparing the food and continued talking to her as he cut vegetables for their omelets.
"You just took a shower," she stated, "but your hair is already dry."
"Oh," he stopped cutting and looked at her, "you're right."
He forgot that they lied to her only a few minutes ago in their desperate attempt to buy time.
"Mommy can only dry her hair that fast if she blow-dries it," Aubrey stated matter of factly.
And this was the main reason they tried not to lie to their kids. They were too smart to not figure it out.
"Well," he paused and wiped his hands on a nearby towel. "I forgot to wash my hair. So, you know what that means? I guess I have to take another showerrrrr," he growled playfully as he tickled her until her screeching laughter filled the room. And just like that, she forgot that she was on to something with her questions. She laid back on the large table and had to catch her breath but was still giggling, looking up at her dad with a bright smile.
"You're beautiful. Just like your Mommy. My baby girl," he beamed, helping her sit back up again. He handed her the bowl and attempted to finish with the vegetable cutting.
"Daddy, I'm not a baby."
"My big girl then? You let me call you my little princess..."
"I know. But, I'm not a baby! I'm going to school this year like Jackson. And school is only for big girls. Not babies."
"Oh. Right. Its different, though, when I call you a little princess. You see, your sister, Karen, is my big princess and you, are my little princess. My girls are my princesses."
"What about Mommy? She's your girl too, isn't she?"
"Mommy is definitely my girl. Good point. Well, your Mom is a little older than you right? And she's in charge of everything that goes on around here. So, that makes her my queen."
"Mommy's the queen because we have to listen to everything she says."
"Exactly."
"So are you the king?"
"I guess so."
"But, then why does Mommy call you God?"
He tossed all of the vegetables in the bowl she held and looked at her in utter confusion and slight amusement. Sometimes he really did wonder what was going on in that little head of hers.
"When have you ever heard Mommy call me God?"
"This morning she did when I was waiting to knock on your door."
His eyes widened at the realization of what she was referring to.
"Oh. Hmmm." He stared at her, trying to think of the fastest way to get off of this subject. "You probably heard her talking in her sleep."
"Oh."
She took a second to process his answer, but fortunately for Fitz, the two boys walked into the kitchen ready for food. They were both sporting similar pajamas. Marvel comic pants and tshirts with their Nintendo 3DS in hand. Jackson seemed to be getting taller by the minute. Either that or his hair that resembled his fathers was messier than usual. They sat down at the table, both sitting in a chair on their knees and snacking from the fruit bowl in the center.
"And there are the princes!" Fitz said excitedly. He walked over to them and gave a fist pump to Nicholas, but opting for a forehead kiss for Jackson. "How'd it go last night, champ."
"Good." Jackson wasn't exactly a morning person, much like Olivia.
"What'd you guys do?"
"Played video games," Nicholas said in a monotone voice. They both looked tired, probably since they didn't actually sleep the night before.
"Cool. Jackson, did you leave any dirty dishes or cups in your bedroom? You know your mom will flip if you did."
"Dad, we didn't even eat anything in there," he groaned, lazily walking over to where Aubrey was to see what she had in the bowl. He made a disappointed face to see it was just vegetables.
"Okay, okay. Just trying to look out for you." Jackson walked back over to the table and picked up his handheld game before making an exit from the kitchen. Nicholas followed his lead. But, not before walking past Olivia as she entered the room.
"Morning boys," she said as she laid quick kisses on their heads. First Nick, then Jackson, who ended up hugging his mom and resting his head against her stomach for a moment. "Did you have fun?"
"Yeah." Jackson replied as she used her nails to graze soothing patterns through his soft hair. He would stand like that for hours if he could. He loved when his mom would relax him with her light scratches. She was just glad that he didn't think he was too old to still let her be affectionate towards him.
"Aunt Liv, Jackson made it all the way to level 6 and he just started playing the game yesterday!"
She raised her eyebrows and smiled at Nick's enthusiasm."I take it that's good?"
"Yeah, it's real good. That's like a world record or something."
"A world record, huh?" She cupped Jacksons face and tilted his head so she could have a good look at him. "What, were you guys up all night?"
Aubrey shot her head up as if on cue, ready to answer. But Fitz quickly looked at her from where he was cooking, silently reminding her about their talk. She was smart enough to give her dad a sweet smile, completely playing it off, and forcing Fitz to let out a private laugh while shaking his head at his daughters strong personality. Olivia didn't even notice the quiet moment between Fitz and Aubrey, as she shared a quick smile between herself and Jackson.
"Can we go play downstairs?" Jackson requested.
"Only for a little bit. Dad's probably almost finished cooking."
The boys left the room quietly and Olivia walked over to the island where Aubrey was still sitting on the edge. Fitz had his back turned as he cooked on the stovetop.
"Good morning, baby girl."
"I'm not a baby!" She huffed.
"You will always be my baby girl. And where are your manners? I said good morning."
"Good morning, Mommy." She gave Olivia an Eskimo kiss and giggled at the ticklish feeling. "Daddy said you're his queen."
"Oh he did now?"
"Mmmhhmmm."
"I'm okay with that," she said, moving the bowl from Aubrey's lap to the counter and picking her up to place her on the ground. Olivia had constantly asked Fitz not to let her sit that high for safety reasons. But, somehow, he managed to forget about it whenever she wasn't around. She walked over to Fitz and rubbed his back with one hand before giving him a hug from behind. "Trying to butter me up, huh?"
He slid the last omelet onto a plate and put some more bread in the toaster before turning around.
"Is it working?" He asked in a deep voice, resting his hands against her waist.
"Maybe," she whispered as she leaned up for a quick kiss.
"Ewwwwwww!" Aubrey stood right below them, staring up at her parents with a dramatic, scrunched up face. Olivia and Fitz both turned their attention to their daughter and laughed.
"I think somebody wants smooches too!"
Fitz swiftly picked her up and attacked her with kisses while Olivia tickled her at the same time. She laughed and laughed, barely able to breathe. After it seemed like she couldn't take anymore, Fitz put her down, letting her stand up and compose herself.
"Okay, miss," he said. "Go grab your brother and tell him they have three minutes before he needs to wash up to come and eat."
"Three minutes. How many seconds is that?"
"One hundred and eighty," Olivia replied, already making herself a cup of coffee.
"Wow! I don't know if I can count that high."
"I'm sure you can if you try, sweetie. Now go tell your brother, please." Her mom drank a sip from her mug, leaning her back against the counter and giving a wink, which Aubrey returned with one of her own. Olivia recently taught her how to do that, and it quickly became their thing. Aubrey turned around and began skipping as she left the kitchen.
"Wait," Fitz unexpectedly asked, causing their daughter to come running back to them. "Give me one last kiss." Aubrey let out an exasperated sigh and gave in as he swiftly picked her up, her legs hanging straight."I love you princess."
"I know Daddy!" As soon as her feet touched the ground she went to run out of the kitchen to get Jackson.
"Wait. Bre, come here, please." She came running back, full of energy. Olivia bent down to eye level and shared a smile with her daughter. "I get jealous. Give me a kiss too." She kissed Aubrey's cheek who then buried her face in the crook of her mothers neck as they hugged. "Mmmmm. You're Mommys girl, right?"
"Mhm," she said sweetly."I love you mommy."
"I love you more," she assured her, giving her one more kiss on her nose. "Okay. Now, you can go get Jackson."
She ran off with loads of energy, her bouncy curls in tow.
"So do we have to go to that birthday party today?" Fitz asked as he began to set the table. Olivia breezed through a section of the newspaper laying out on the counter.
"It's for our goddaughter," she replied without looking up from the article. "So yes. We have to go. Besides, we have to bring Nick back home anyway. Theres still a few hours before we have to start getting everyone ready, so there's no rush."
"A few hours?" Fitz stopped dead in his tracks in between the table and the stove and pretended to be confused. "How many seconds is that?"
Olivia laughed loudly and put the newspaper down as she picked her coffee mug back up.
"She's driving me crazy with that seconds to minutes conversion. Why did you have to teach her that?"
Fitz shrugged as he continued setting up their meal. "She asked. I answered."
"She's too smart, Fitz. I can't believe she's starting kindergarten in a few weeks."
"I know. My baby girl. She's going to kick ass."
"Uncle Fitz, that's a bad word." Neither of them noticed their houseguest entering the kitchen, obviously ready for breakfast.
"Nick, it's only bad when kids say it."
The young boy pulled out a chair and sat down as Olivia watched the scene unfold with a smirk on her face.
"My father said that people only use bad words when they aren't smart enough to use other words."
"Interesting. Because I specifically remember hearing both of your fathers use words that I wouldn't define as good. Actually, way wayyyyy worse than what I just said."
Olivia walked up to Fitz with a look, silently urging him to take it easy on the boy. She took the forks out of his hands to help finish setting the table.
"Nicholas," she interrupted, "where's Jackson and Aubrey? This food is ready to eat..."
"They were having a competition, I believe."
"What? Where? And what could they possibly be competing for now?"
The sound of something breaking suddenly filled the house. And, if Olivia had to guess, that something was made of glass. The glance that she and Fitz shared showed that they were waiting for what came next. The bickering.
"Ooooo I'm telling Mommy!"
"Aubrey! It's your fault!"
"Nuh-uh! You threw it!"
"Do I even want to know what that sound was?" She asked in an apathetic tone. At one point in time she would have jumped at the sound of anything breaking. But, she soon learned that as long as she heard the kids afterwards, whatever it was could be replaced.
"That's all you, Liv."
"Nope. I fixed that whole fiasco last night with the water guns. This one is you."
"I'm pretty sure last weeks double flu quarantine has me covered for a while."
"Fitz..."
He put his hands up as if to say he was hands off on this particular situation.
"Hey. Not fair."
"Okay. Then there's only one way to decide. And you know what I'm going to say..."
"That's fine with me."
He walked over to where she stood beside the table and placed himself directly in front of her.
"Rock, Paper, Scissors."
Gladiators! I feel like I could cry actual tears after writing this! I'm in love with this Grant Family! How stinkin adorbs is Aubrey?! And Olivia and Fitz together letting Jackson have sleepovers with James and Cyrus's son! This was almost too fluffy but I don't even care. All good things must come to and end. THANK YOU for your support with my very first fanfic. It was a lot of fun to crank out these chapters for you all. And the reviews were the icing on the cake. I could go on forever with this A/N so Ill just say I hope you enjoyed it. Let me know what you think about this chapter as their endgame. (Even if you thought it was corny Id still like to ) As far as the prequel, I'm already starting on chapter one. It will def have more angst bc of it being the beginning of this version of Fitz and Liv...the trail, the White House, and post-presidency. BUT, I promise to try and keep it up to Can We Try Again standards;) I'll probably rate it T for a while so keep a lookout for it. The title of this story was thought of after listening to a Raheem Devaughan song called Try Again. And I was listening to some old music recently and heard the song Collide by Howie Day and it gave me all TYPES of Olitz feels. SO...lookout for the prequel to this story, Collide, within the very near future. Thanks SO MUCH and drop me a line if you feel like it. Until next time...~storygirllo87~
