warning;

Slight out of character humor.

summary;

Skywarp questions Megatron's alternate mode. Thundercracker is secretly amused.

author's note;

Look! More old fics involving Decepticons, and more Skywarp and Thundercracker humor. I actually like this one, even though it is stupid-funny. Frankly, enjoy and review.

It was a normal day within the base when Thundercracker finished his ration and made a quick realization that his closest comrade was unusual quiet. He lifted his optics from the empty cube and glanced over at the other seeker. He was a bit surprised at what he saw in general, as it wasn't something that was normal for the purple flier. Matter of fact, he'd never seen anything like it in his entire time knowing him.

Skywarp sat there as still as a statue. Wings lowered slightly, he had his helm lowered and optics focused on a half-finished cube of energon. There was no mischievous grin or sly look in his optics. No, his lips were turned down into a small yet serious frown and optics were dimmed ever so slightly. If anyone were to ask Thundercracker, which they wouldn't because they didn't care and/or were not in the room, something was wrong with his friend.

"'Warp," he called out, causing the smaller flier to jump slightly and turn his helm. There was a questioning look bubbling in his optics, and Thundercracker had to fight the urge to laugh. He looked like a puppy. Instead, he asked, "what's up? You look like you're trying to shoot lasers out of your optics at the energon there. Not your style or something?"

"Oh no," Skywarp shook his helm swiftly, optics brightening. "I was just thinking is all."

The blue seeker had to bite back a 'Now don't hurt yourself' and question, "well, what are you thinking about?"

"Uh, well..." He fell silent and Thundercracker thought he wasn't going to tell him, then the purple seeker looked up and locked gazes with him. He asked, with a tiny helm tilt, "ever wonder why Megatron transforms into a gun?"

"Huh?"

Of course, Thundercracker had thought about just that, but maybe for a moment before he figured it was somewhat pointless. They all transformed into different things; jets, vehicles, or something of the like. Why couldn't Megatron take the form of a weapon if he so desired? Especially since he was their leader and would possibly slaughter anyone who so much as questioned his choices.

"Well, I mean, it is kind of cool, I imagine, but kind of silly too," Skywarp continued, taking his comrade's 'huh' and then silence as a cue to continue. Though, it kind of was. "See, he can't even shoot himself. He has to have Screamer or Soundwave do it. At least when the rest of us transform we can fly and shoot off our weapons. He just kind of... floats to the nearest soldier to be shot off at the enemy."

Thundercracker had to admit that he had a point. It was strange though to hear Skywarp talking like this. He'd always imagined that the only thing that Skywarp thought about was different ways to annoy everyone around him and different ways to kill Autobots. Who knew, despite the wording, that the purple seeker was so... inquisitive and thoughtful?

"I mean, what's he going to do if he's all by himself somewhere? Would he just transform and... I don't know, fall down?"

… or not.

However, he still felt his lips twitch at the thought. Images of Megatron's might gun form floating for a moment, then colliding with the ground the next, filled his head. It was kind of funny, no matter how childish it seemed.

"'Warp?"

"Yeah," he piped up, seemingly eager to know what his comrade was going to say.

"Finish your cube," he snorted to cover a small chuckle.
