A/N: I am going to go over and re-read all pervious chapters before I continue with this story, I also started writing this story with no plot ^_^" so I'm going to also be working on that. The writers block I've been having on this story has lead me to another story, it wont be out for a couple days and it is Sakura/Hidan story, I think I will call it The Red and Black blossom - yay for shameless self promotion

Disclaimer: once again, I do not own Inuyasha

They had left the village a few hours ago, currently they were taking a break in a small meadow. Kagome lay in the field watching the clouds pass by her vision, looking over towards Sesshomaru she saw that he was sitting against a tree with his eyes closed. She knew he wasn't asleep 'Does he ever sleep?' she thought with a giggle. Hearing her, Sesshomaru cracked open one eye to look at the miko, her hair fanned out around her and a warm smile graced her lips. She turned back to looking at the sky, the smile didn't leave her face.

"Today is a beautiful day." she murmured to herself, though she knew Sesshomaru could hear her and was granted an unexpected 'hn' of agreement in return. Looking back over to him, Kagome saw that his eyes were still closed, but the ever-present mask of indifference was gone, replaced by a relaxed and peaceful expression. Deciding that break time was over, Sesshomaru stood with grace.

"It is time for us to continue, miko." Sesshomaru said smoothly as he walked to the edge of the clearing. Kagome gathered her things and followed after him, having to walk quickly to catch up to him.

"How long will it take to reach your palace?" she asked after what felt like an hour of silence.

"If we continue on foot we will arrive in two hours." Kagome huffed at this 'he's not much of a talker. Oh wait, its Sesshomaru, the silent Lord of the West.' she thought as she crossed her arms and fell into place beside him on the unused path. Looking around at her surroundings, Kagome smiled to her self. When she first arrived in this era, what seemed like years ago, she would have tripped many times on the rough path. She had grown out of her clumsiness and was proud of herself for it.

They continued on in near silence, only breaking it when Kagome would ask Sesshomaru questions. After the fifteenth question he had had enough. "Miko, why do you insist on assault my silence with your questions?

Kagome slowed to think of her answer. "Well, we are allies, and I don't know that much about you," she paused for a moment. "and who could resist getting to know the mysterious, stoic yet dashing Lord Sesshomaru?" She added with playful sarcasm.

He smirked at her " you are a curious creature, miko." humor laced his voice. It was strange, how she brought out the emotions he thought he had locked away years ago. Did this make him weak? He quickly checked his youkai, it had not changed and he wondered if he had been wrong about the connection of emotions to weakness 'I must watch over this carefully.' he thought, and left it at that.

"Would using your youkai cloud cut the time down?" She asked, "I want to get to Rin as soon as possible

He turned to her and summoned his cloud. She stepped hesitantly toward him and eyed him suspiciously. "No jumping high super fast and making my stomach drop out of my body this time?" She wasn't really in the mood to feel that again.

His eyebrows raised in amusement and he gave her an agreeable 'hn'. She stepped on his plush cloud wrapped her arms around her waist, making sure her grip wasn't too low. His mokomoko curled around her to protect her from the wind and they began their slow ascend into the sky.
