Konichiwa~ Short word before I begin; this is little. A little one shot. A bigger one is set to follow, with a more mature rating. My OTP is The Doctor/River, so this is a definitive love between them. Try to read this in Matt Smith's adorable voice, that should definitely help along the flow of the story!

Ah, how I loved museums. Especially humans', because so many of those artifacts had something to do with me. It was also just so funny how many of them were wrongly placed, whether it be the wrong culture or the wrong time period. Just because it was found in the middle of Rome doesn't mean it was Roman. The more likely answer was that it fell from my pocket unintentionally. Which seemed to happen a lot. I can't remember ever having holey pockets, save for that tattered outfit I happened to be wearing the last time I regenerated. Well, when you've got as much to think about as I have, sometimes you don't notice holes in your pockets. Besides, it gave the humans something to ponder.

I had been spending so much time in museums lately. There had to be some trace of her, somewhere. This is always where the hints turned up. She'd even wrote on the Rosetta Stone once. Gave her quite the lecture for that one.

I figured I'd better check the documents. If she had written on the oldest cliff in the universe, what was stopping her from writing on the Magna Carta?

Probably looking pretty sullen, with my hands in my pockets and a slight slouch, I made my way to the documents. I looked around the room. There were a fair amount of people present today; maybe it was a Saturday.

My hearts skipped a beat when my gaze landed on a woman with loads of curly hair. I numbly made my way through the crowd to stand behind her. She had on that white jacket that usually concealed her gun. The one I found myself wanting to strip her of more and more often. It had to be her.

Clearing my throat, I said, "I'd know those curves anywhere. Hello, sweetie," just loudly enough for her to hear me. I held my hands behind my back, and she whirled, her own hand streaking inside her jacket. I assumed she had grabbed her gun.

She relaxed as she took me in, eyes roving up and down my body, her hand dropping back to her side. "Now that is strange."

I chuckled. "You'll have to be more elaborate, I'm afraid."

Touching my cheek, she replied, "The last time I saw you, you were older. Further along in your timestream."
I placed my hand over hers. "I've just married you. It is a bit strange." I had already worked out the possibilities of why this was happening, but I let her draw her own conclusions.

"Have our time streams finally gotten themselves straight?" Her voice was low, so no bystanders could hear.

"Straight? I don't know about straight, but I think the universe has given us some time." I grabbed her face and kissed her hungrily, ignoring all the stares I got from the humans surrounding us. She was my River, and I didn't give a damn who knew about it.

There you have it! Nice little River/Doctor to work out my frustrations at the series. I hope you enjoyed, reviews are certainly welcome! Sayonara!
