Chapter Two

Kagome didn't say much as she walked next to Akaya, she wasn't much one for talking when she first met someone. It took her a bit to open up to someone. She learned that the hard way.
"Ne, you never did give me your name?" he said as his green eyes looked into Kagome's own blue cat like eyes.
Kagome hummed, "I guess not." She gave a small tip to her head, "Kagome Echizen"
Akaya frowned, "So Echizen-san..." He didn't get much else out before she interrupted him.
"Kagome...no Echizen...just Kagome." She gave him a tight smile, and Akaya could tell she was holding emotions back.
'Family must be a touchy subject' He thought as he frowned but nodded, "What are you doing all the way over here. You are from Seigaku right?" He looked at her uniform, trying to remember if that was the right one for the school. He didn't really pay that much attention to such things.
Kagome nodded, "Yes, Seigaku is the school I go to...at the moment." She really didn't like Seigaku, and was thinking of asking her parents if she could transfer. She was also thinking of looking for an apartment to move into...she wanted to get away from her family.
"I came to look at the tennis courts, I was bored and the Seigaku tennis team...bores me." They turned a corner and Kagome could see the school from where she was...and she was impressed.
She took a good look at the school, it was something else. She could tell it was a high end school. No wonder the tennis team had the 'Never loose' as a motto. If they put so much money into training and other things, they expect results.
"Will you be alright from here...or do you want me to walk you all the way to your teammates?" Kagome asked, an amused smirk on her face as she saw the younger boy scowl at her.
"I can get there myself." Akaya huffed, a small blush on his cheeks making Kagome give a small laugh.
"If you say so." She pat his head, "You stay out of trouble. Not everyone is going to be kind about your tennis style. You have to learn to control it a little better." She gave another smile, a genuine smile, before she turned around and made her way back in the direction they had just came.
Akaya watched her walk away, tilting his head to the side, "She had a pretty smile."
"Who had a pretty smile?" Akaya jumped and turned around as he looked wide eyed at the person hind him. The only thing going through his mind was 'I am in so much trouble'
