Disclaimer: I don't own Hellsing! If I did Alucard would be doing some pretty weird shit involving llamas, frying pans, and Seras.

INTRODUCTION

Lucy stared at him for what seemed like hours before the true meaning of his words sunk in. He watched emotionlessly as her hands began to tremble and curled up towards her chest, desperately grasping the silky white fabric there. Her knees began to wobble as she sunk to the ground, wedding dress pooling about Lucy's quaking body. Her pale shoulders started to shudder as her breath quickened, coming in short, tight, gasps. Lucy's slim throat muscles contracted, desperately trying to swallow as her nails sunk into her soft skin through the dress, almost drawing blood. As he reached a long hand towards her quivering dark curls, Lucy cringed away, a high strangled yelp coming from her mouth. He scowled at her then, before seizing her hair and roughly dragging her up to meet his crimson eyes. Lucy cried out as her hair was cruelly yanked, but she hung limply in his grasp, toes barely brushing across the hard wooden floor. His scowl became more pronounced as he took in her disheveled form.

"You pathetic excuse for a fledgling. I can't believe I turned you into a creature of the night."

Lucy's eyes filled with tears, a combination of his harsh words and the ever-growing pain of her tender scalp.

"You said you loved me!"

Her head snapped to the side as he backhanded her. Lucy's cheek burned as she tried, and failed, to stop tears from leaking out of her eyes. He then threw her to the ground, knocking the breath out of her.

"You stupid whore! You actually believed me? Or were you just that eager to put someone's dick in your mouth? You disgust me."

The damning words were followed by a sharp kick in the ribs that sent her crashing through the stained glass church windows. As she lay, broken and bleeding is the sharp shards of multicolored glass, she heard his voice once more.

"Hellsing and his band of idiots should be here in a few minutes. Maybe they'll finish the job and stake you in the heart? It will be interesting to see how Holmwood reacts." With a chuckle he was gone.

As Lucy slipped away from consciousness, she heard the voices of men growing nearer. Her last thought before the blackness took over was of poor Arthur and poor, poor, Mina.
