HIDING SCARS

DISCLAIMER

Power Rangers belongs to Haim Saban and Nickelodeon. I only own the idea which came about from noticing that in a couple of Season 1 eps Jason and Tommy wore wrist cuffs but never did so again. Doesn't take place after any particular episode.

Laughing maniacally, Goldar disappeared, leaving Tommy demorphed and on his knees. Tommy groaned as he clutched his wrist, trying to stop the blood. The others demorphed and Jason knelt at his side.

"Man, that's really deep. We gotta get you to the Command Center," he said worriedly.

"Hang on, Tommy. We're going to get you some help, all right?" Kimberly assured, helping him up. Then, they teleported back to their base of operations. Once they were there, Trini got out a cloth and placed it over Tommy's wrist and mopped up the blood.

"Man, I should've known Rita would retaliate," Tommy sighed.

"I'm sorry, Bro. I should've been more on top of it," Jason apologized.

"This isn't your fault," Tommy answered. "We all knew that Rita wasn't happy when you saved me," he continued, holding the cloth against his wound. Man, if my folks see my wrist, they'll flip! he thought to himself. He had enough problems without having to worry about his parents thinking he was trying to hurt himself. Then, he took the cloth away and Trini brought out some disinfectant as well as a q-tip

"This is going to hurt," she cautioned as she placed the on the solution on the q-tip and then gently rubbed the material over the wound. Tommy winced and let out an exclamation of pain. "Sorry, sorry," she apologized.

"It's all right. I know you're being as gentle as possible," he answered. Trini finished disinfecting the wound and Tommy pulled his shirtsleeve down. "Man, how am I going to hide this?" he wondered.

"I don't know," came the response.

"Man, if my parents see this, they'll flip!" The Rangers stared at each other worriedly. What were they going to do? How would Tommy explain his wrist? The Green Ranger blew out a worried breath.

"You've got to hide the scars somehow," Zack stated.

"Yeah, but how?" Trini wondered.

"A wrist cuff or something? If anyone asks, you can always say it's a new form of a wrist guard when you're sparring," Kimberly suggested.

"That's a great idea, Kim," Jason complimented. The girl grinned happily. She hadn't been too sure how her suggestion would be taken. After all, she didn't know that much about Martial Arts protocol or what was acceptable attire for sparring.

"Yeah, I think that'll work," Tommy agreed. That's good thinking. She's quick on her feet, he thought to himself. That was one thing he had come to admire about her, but of course, he hadn't told her. After all, how could he expect her to even think about him in that way after everything he had done? Then, they teleported out of the Command Center and each of the six teens went about the rest of their day. The next morning when Tommy got to his locker, he was surprised to see Jason already there.

"We weren't supposed to meet before homeroom were we?" Tommy questioned, causing his friend to chuckle.

"No. But I got something for you," he responded and then pulled a pair of green wrist cuffs from his jeans pocket. Tommy grinned in relief as he took the bands and placed them on his wrists. Then Jason took out his own pair of wrist cuffs, placing them on his own wrists. Then, they shared a smile and went off to their first class.
