"So..." Bridget slowly asked as Castiel led her home at the late hour. "Why did you want to bring me to my aunt's apartment? It's not that far away..."
"It's dark out." came his short response.
"I'm not afraid of the dark." she reminded him.
"There are people who can hurt girls like you."
Bridget stopped walking for a moment. She couldn't help but soak in what he had said.
"So you question my ability to defend myself?" she asked. To this, Castiel turned around and looked at her.
"Would you like to get home or not?" Castiel asked her, getting slightly irritated.
"I can easily call a cab from here." she informed him. This gave way to a small silence between the two.
"Do you care about me?" Bridget finally said, being careful about she asked. It was like she was addressing a bear about to charge.
"Let's go." Castiel grumbled as he quickly grabbed Bridget's hand and roughly dragged her to her aunt's apartment, taking care to make sure Bridget couldn't see his face.
Why? Because he was blushing a light pink with embarrassment.
