Was reminiscing, And this story was born. Review darling.

(Zander)

It's after school, and Stevie didn't show up for school. Something told me she was sick, since she wouldn't attempt to ditch school. I knock on the door. Stevie's mom answers.

"Hello Zander. Stevie's sick today." Ms. Baskara says to me.

"I know. Is it okay that I stay? I don't care about getting sick, and I came to drop off Stevie's homework." I say carrying my books.

"Hmm... Okay dear. Go ahead. You know where to find her." Ms. Baskara says and goes into the kitchen. I just come inside and knock on Stevie's bedroom door. No one answered. I open the door anyways. She never minds. When I look inside her bedroom, I'm seeing mountains of tissue.

"What happened Stevie?" I say. She's laying on her bed reading a book with her headphones on. I also notice she has a whiteboard. She writes.

I HAVE LARYNGITIS. MOM TOLD ME NOT TO SPEAK. I THINK.

So she couldn't speak? I wonder if I could last a day without speaking. Nah... I probably couldn't do it.

"So how's it going?" I ask her.

I'M SICK. WHAT DO YOU THINK Z?

Sick or not, she was still equally grumpy.

"You know what? I'm going to be your nurse today." I say. She tenses up in bed.

WHAT!?

"What's wrong with a little help from your best friend Steviekins?" I say.

YOU'RE LUCKY I CAN'T SPEAK.

Grumpy.

"I'll get you some food." I say and leave to the kitchen.

"Hi Zander." Ms. Baskara says.

"Hi Ms. Baskara." I say.

"Whatcha doing?" she asks me.

"Getting something for Stevie to eat. She doesn't look so good." I say. She just smiles and gives me some cookies and a glass of orange juice. I just say thank you, and go back into Stevie's room again. She is laying in bed in a weird position. When I come in, her head turns towards me and she manages a small smile. I go towards her, give her the food. She starts eating.

THANKS FOR DOING THIS Z, BUT I'M REALLY TIRED

"Want me to read you a bedtime story?" I ask her.

SURE

"Okay Stevie. I don't have any books, so I'll just tell you one of my own." I say to her.

OKAY THEN

"Okay... Uh... Once upon a time, there was a princess, and she was sick. Luckily for her, there was a super handsome knight to help her," I say. Stevie just rolls her eyes. "He got her some food, and other stuff. She was safe around him. After that, he read her a bedtime story. And she falls aslee-"

I look at Stevie who is asleep. And she is clinging on to my arm like a pillow. She looked nice when she's sleeping.

"Stevie? Can you let go of my arm?" I ask her, even though she is sleeping. I try to get off, but then I see Stevie's whiteboard. She must've wrote while I was talking.

THANKS FOR THE BEDTIME STORY Z. THANKS ALSO FOR THE PILLOW :) YOU'RE NOT GOING ANYWHERE.

So I'm stuck here. Fine with me.
