Logan Lynn, PhD, arrested yesterday for the abuse of his son, Ryder Lynn, his assault on his son and girlfriend, and the murder of his wife, Charlotte Lynn.

After the whole incident yesterday, everything in Ryder's life seemed so different. It seemed clearer and even filled with a little hope and he could feel like he was okay. He wasn't afraid anymore, not as he was when his father was around.

Ryder would always have the memories, much like the one when his father held the knife to his neck and Marley stood there, having to watch, screaming and crying her eyes out. Those days were at least over, Ryder could finally breathe.

His father was probably facing a life sentence in prison, which was what he deserved. He killed his wife, abused his son all his life, and nearly killed him and his girlfriend twice. The good thing was that Ryder was finally free, he no longer had to worry about him.

That night, Ryder, Marley, Finn, Sam, Blaine, and Brian were all taken to the police, they needed their statements again, along with some others. Last time they only got Ryder's statement and Logan's lies. They needed more, from Ryder, but also from all of them.

Finn, Brian, and Ryder talk to them for the most part. They told him about everything he did and even when they did the confess the same day. Even though Ryder made sure the police were listening through the mic that time. Good thing he did or both he and Marley would be dead.

Brian told them about what he did to Charlie before her death and before the physical abuse started for Ryder. Brian explained to them what kind of woman she was and what she did, which helped them in which giving the details on how Charlie was silenced.

Finn talked about Ryder and what it did to him emotionally, for months he's been hurting a lot more. He talked about how Ryder was when he finally found out and he told him about how he was with Ryder and what he did to help them in the whole situation and the whole catching Logan thing.

It took a couple of hours, but they got everything they needed. Logan would be in prison for a very long while, it wasn't going to be fun, but it was what he deserved. He was a murderer and a horrible father. He scarred Charlie and Ryder so much, good thing Ryder was able to survive through it all; it was finally over for him.

Ryder hadn't been back in school since the day of the incident. Ever since then he's been in the hospital or he's been staying Finn. It's been a long while since he's walked down the halls of McKinley, but walking into the school now, it was much different. He actually felt happy, it was easier now without his father.

He went to his locker and he saw a few people looking at him, by now they probably heard about everything. Of course they heard about the assault when he saved Marley, but not the whole abuse story, however they did now.

It was everywhere. It was probably a front cover story and sure enough everyone was talking about it. It didn't bother Ryder, he just hoped he wouldn't get mobbed like people do by paparazzi if they have been on the news.

He opened his locker and stood there and luckily nobody approached him, they probably wanted to give him space, his experience was really big, at least they were being nice and cauious about it.

Ryder saw there was a box for him in his locker, there was a note on it, hopefully it wasn't from someone he barley knew, that would be weird and also awkward. He smiled after finishing reading the note.

I'm glad you still here with me and I'm so happy I don't have to live without you. This is a little something for you. I think it sums up who you are. Meet me in the choir room later, I have something to show you. I love you -Marley

It was from Marley, that was a nice surprise to get in the morning to his big return to school after everything. He open the box and found a chain necklace from Marley. It was the one Marley gave to him right before Regionals. My Strong Ryder. Ryder was sure he lost it, luckily it had probably been in his house and Marley made sure neither of them lost it. Ryder was so happy he didn't lose it.

Ryder put it around his neck and then grabbed the binder he used for most of his classes and closed his locker door. He felt someone tap him on the back and turned to see it was Mr. Shue. Ryder smiled.

"Oh, hi Mr. Shue." Ryder said.

"Come to my office for a minute, a few people would like to talk to you." He told Ryder and he nodded, at least it wasn't Figgins. He wondered who it was, as long as it wasn't Logan, it was going to be someone good.

He sat down in Will's office and saw that both Brian and his sister, Courtney were there. He wondered what his sister was doing there, didn't she have college and a boyfriend? And how was she here now?

"Courtney? What are you doing here?" Ryder asked.

"My brother is all over the news. Because our douche father is arrested for hurting you, killing our mother and nearly doing the same to you and that beautiful girl you're dating. Why wouldn't I be here?" Courtney said.

"Don't you have college and a boyfriend?"

"Yes, but I think I can miss a few classes. Ryder, stop changing the subject, this is important." Courtney said and walked over to her younger brother. "Are you okay?" She asked and Ryder nodded.

"Yeah, now am I."

"Good. What were you thinking? Just going in there willingly, in the open with him?! And with Marley too? What the hell were you thinking? You could have been killed!" She exclaimed.

"It had to be me Courtney. If it wasn't me, he wouldn't have confessed again. The police wouldn't have gotten proof they needed to arrest him everything. And Marley had to keep the mics in order so we didn't mess up, completely." Ryder said.

"But isn't she the one that got you caught?"

"That isn't the point, if it wasn't for us, Logan would still be out there and I certainly wouldn't be here. I'd still be at Finn's house, not being able to sleep or turn the corner, being so afraid of him finding me."

"I know." Courtney said. "Look, I'm just so glad you're alive. I may not show it all the time, but you know I do love you."

"I kind of got that after you catfished me." Ryder said and Courtney laughed.

"Very funny."

"Anyway, why is Brian here as well? Why are the two of you here to talk to me at the same time?" Ryder asked, he still didn't understand what was going on. But he was about to.

"Ryder, we're here to offer you some options, considering your living situations." Brian said and Ryder understood now, he needed somewhere to live. He couldn't live with Finn forever, he wasn't family or even his guardian. He needed somewhere to stay since his mother was dead and his father was now in jail.

"So what are the options for me?" Ryder asked.

"You could come live with me and Patrick." Courtney said, Ryder would have never expected that his sister would want her little brother living with her and her boyfriend while she was in college. However, she was his only real family left.

"Or you could come live with me and Blaine." Brian suggested. "I offered it to your mother, before she died, the offer is open to just you now."

This was a difficult decision. Courtney was his only real family left, the only one he was really related to that actually did love him. But the thing was that she didn't live in Lima. She lived about 2 hours away, which meant, Ryder would have to change schools, he wouldn't get to see his friends or his girlfriend anymore, at least for a while.

And then there was Brian, he lived here so he would still be here at the same school and with his friends and he could still be with Marley. And he and Blaine could sort of be like brothers, but thing was, they weren't really related. Of course, Charlie did always like Brian and if she was still alive she'd probably be with him, but this was different. He had no relation to them, except being Blaine's friend.

This was something that Ryder was going to need some time to consider. He couldn't just decide on the spot, this was going to determine the rest of his life, at least until college. "Can I have some time to think about it?" Ryder asked and both Courtney and Brian nodded.

Ryder walked down the halls and saw Blaine was there at his locker talking to someone, he got closer and saw it was Kurt. What was he doing here? And talking to Blaine, this could either be about the news story or about them, either way it was good, at least they were talking.

Ryder walked passed them, on his way to their next class, Blaine went in the other direction to his other class while Kurt went after Ryder.

"Hey." Kurt greeted and Ryder smiled, that was a pleasant greeting.

"Hi, what are you doing here? And talking to him?"

"I saw the news story and we talked about everything." Kurt said and Ryder nodded, everyone was finding out about it. "I'm just glad that you, Blaine, and everyone are okay."

"Anything else happen between you two over there?" Ryder asked.

"Yeah, he asked if we could get back together again." Kurt said. "I told him we could after he filled out one of those no cheating contracts." Ryder had to laugh at that, Blaine was right about one thing; Kurt did have a sense of humor.

"Thanks, anyway I have to get to class." Ryder said and both Kurt and Ryder left each others sides. Ryder went to class and everything seemed to go well for the majority of the day. He talked to Sam once, but it was brief.

Ryder was still pondering about his living arrangement decision. It was hard, he could live his friends, his girlfriend and Lima and go live with the only family he has left or he could stay here with Brian, someone who is close to him and his family, but not truly family.

After class, he was met at the door by Finn. He led him into the hallway, he was taking him somewhere, but he didn't know where or why. "Finn, what's going on?" Ryder asked.

"Some people having something they want to show you." Finn said, happily and Ryder nodded and he followed Finn to the Choir Room where he saw Marley, Sam, Blaine, Jake, & Kitty in there, sitting on stools.

"Hey guys, what's going on?" Ryder asked.

"You got my note?" Marley asked and Ryder nodded, showing the chain necklace.

"Kind of like the one I gave you on valentines day, but for guys." Ryder said and Marley chuckled. "So what's going on?"

"You have been so strong and amazing through everything." Marley started. "Anyway, we have something to show you. It's a song. And this is for you." Ryder sat down in one of the chairs in front of them as music started playing

Ryder's eyes were starting to tear up and the tears were coming out of his eyes and making their way down his face. They were doing this for him, but why? He wondered. It was because they all loved him.

The music started to fade out as the song was being over Marley and Kitty wiped their tears as they got up from the stools they were sitting on and went over to Ryder, who finally stopped crying and was starting to wipe his tears.

"That was for me?" Ryder asked and they all nodded. "What for?"

"Because you are so amazing, you survived through this and you cared for us through everything. Even if it was about this or not." Sam said.

"You made me feel like a person, everyone hates me, but even then you would be kind to me when I needed it or deserved it. And would give me what I needed to hear because I was being a bitch."

"Because you're my best friend and tried to help me a lot, even when I was a d*ck to you and you know the rest." Jake said.

"You became one of my best friends. Trusted me when you didn't know who else to trust, told me everything. Trusted me with everything. I was your person through this and in the end this brought us close." Blaine said.

"And finally, because you are the most amazing, talented, smart, and beautiful person I have ever met. You fought through this and never gave up. You also helped me through everything and you loved and still love me." Marley told him and he wanted to start crying again, they all did in reality.

"Ryder, I love you so much. We all do. We sang this song for you because we all love you and we're here for you. We're always going to be here for you." Marley said and they all hugged Ryder.

Ryder and Marley went into the hug first as they started to cry again, then Kitty went in followed by Blaine, Sam, and finally Jake. Then at the last minute, Finn cut and hugged them, he's been there for him too, he loves them all.

"I love you guys." Ryder said.

Then Finn looked and saw that Brian and Courtney were in the room with them, he knew about the decision Ryder had to make, they were there probably to here his answer.

"Ryder." Finn said, getting his attention. He saw Brian and Courtney. He turned back to his friends and sighed. He had to make his decision now and he wondered if what he chose would be the right one; but he felt he was making the right choice.

"Ryder, did you decide?" Courtney asked.

"Decide on what?" Marley asked.

"Ryder has to decide if he wants to live with me or Brian." Courtney explained. "I'm his only relative left, but I live two hours away from here. Brian, lives here and has Blaine as his son, but isn't really his family."

Weird, it was exactly how Ryder looked at it, it must have been a Lynn's family opinion. The ones that mattered and were left in the matter. He looked back at his friends, then at Finn, Brian, and Courtney.

"Did you decide?" Finn asked, he wondered what Ryder's decision was. Ryder nodded and they were waiting to here his answer.

"Courtney, I love you and you will always be my sister. My only true family that I have left." Ryder said and they were frowning, was Ryder leaving?

"But, this is my home. Here in Lima with my friends, my girlfriend, and here at McKinley, this is my school. I love it here and even though Brian and Blaine aren't really my family, they are like my family. And well, if my mom was still here, sure enough they would be my real family." Ryder said and everyone perked up.

"Besides, with college and your boyfriend and everything, I don't think you'll have much time to deal with me and—having to live with your little brother all the time, it might be a little much for you to handle." Ryder said and Courtney smiled. Ryder was right in a way.

Brian and Blaine looked happy, they were perfectly happy with Ryder coming to live with them. Ryder was as important to Brian as Charlie was. And as Blaine said, him and Ryder were good friends, they would be good living together; like brothers even.

"Great." Brian said. "I'll get your things from your old house and Finn's and I'll start getting you settled in right away." Brian said and both Brian and Courtney left the room.

"I can't believe this! We're going to be living together!" Blaine said, happily. It was going to be great.

"You guys are going to be like brothers!" Sam said and both boys smiled.

"I couldn't leave you guys, you've been here for me so much and I love you guys. I could never leave. This school, this town, you guys, you're my home." Ryder said and they all found that touching. "And I love you, especially." He added, looking at Marley and they kissed.

Later that day, Blaine and Ryder went and got Ryder's things from his old bedroom at his old house and then some things he had while staying at Finn's. They then went and set up a room, at least for now Blaine and Ryder would have to share a room, but they didn't mind at all.

Ryder and Blaine thought it was going to be awesome living together, they had become so close. And Brian was happy to be Ryder's legal guardian, he offered it to him and Charlie when she alive, it didn't matter that Charlie was gone, he was happy to give Ryder a home with people that cared for him.

Though Brian missed Charlie everyday, maybe as much as Ryder did, he cared for Ryder just as much and was going to be a good parent to him as he was to Blaine. He was surely going to try.

Ryder knew now that he was safe. His father was in prison, he could never hurt him again. His mother, even with her being gone, she was always with him. And he had all his friends, his wonderful girlfriend, Marley, Brian, Blaine, who is like his brother, he had Finn, he had Courtney, he had everyone there for him. As they would always tell him; We're here.

And that's it! Oh my god! Can you believe that's the last chapter of "We're Here?" I know, it feels weird. I'm going to miss writing for this, but good news! :) I have decided to write a sequel to this, so look out for that :D

I hope you guys loved the ending and the whole story in general, it was really fun and amazing to write for. It was my favorite as it was to guys! You guys gave me tons of feedback! :D
