Story Summary: They were both bored with their same routine. That's when they bumped into each other. How a chance meeting lead to a scandalous relationship between a regular 16 year old high school student and a 24 year old business negotiator out of pure boredom but what if there are underlying feelings the two refuse to admit to? Especially when this 'relationship' might drag to the point of no return.

A/N: Writing this chapter really gave me a perspective on how I treat Gokudera in all my KHR fics.

Hibari Kyoya was a very particular man.

He liked order, he liked when people followed orders, and he liked not having to repeat himself twice.

This was just the way Kyoya's balance worked. So long as these rules were being followed, he was an easily satisfied male. Tsunayoshi Sawada was one of the few that actually followed these rules; out of fear or other reasons, the prefect wasn't sure, but so long as the brunette was staying out of trouble Kyoya was somewhat courteous towards him. Which is what made this situation involving him and his brother all the more troublesome.

No, he won't say 'involved', that would make whatever is happening between the two seemingly more platonic than it actually is. No, this was just a brief bit of curiosity on Tsuna's part, and his older brother being weird as usual.

Hibari knew his older brother like the back of his hand. He knew what he was like and how he managed to weasel his way into the things that he wanted. The charm, the quick upturn of his lip, the mysterious gaze to keep you coming back. It was all an ACT. Something his brother was getting more and more good at over the years. The raven was quick to identify his brother as a carnivore but the way he went about catching his prey was all the traits of a coward in his mind.

Stay hidden, lay low, pique their targets interest, get in close, open them up, expose their secrets, go in for the kill. The methods of a snake and Hibari knew very well that his brother was a snake. A snake that wasn't afraid to get what he wanted through any means, no matter who got hurt.

And right now his venomous gaze was pierced on a very curious Tsunayoshi. And since history has an uncanny way of repeating itself the raven refused to allow the brunette to get hurt like the other one.

Squashing this issue before it starts was the only way to save the brunettes fragile being.

After finally getting off the phone with his brother Tsuna bid farewell to his friends and retired to his room for the evening. It was a tiring afternoon to say the least and the brunette wasn't entirely sure if he was going to get any sleep after the revelation he came to while speaking with his brother about the subject.

Of course having to change the gender of the person to a girl to not arouse suspicion didn't make the talk any less awkward, if anything it gave him a clue as to what he might be feeling.

''So is it a girl? Cause from what you're telling me it sounds as though you're falling for her and you my dear brother, just by your tone of voice, fell HARD.''

''N-no way!'' The brunette made sure to lock himself in the bathroom while having this conversation with his brother. The last thing Tsuna needed was Gokudera or even worse, his mother walking in on him. But with the way this was turning maybe talking to his brother wasn't the best choice either. ''Listen Giotto-nii there's no way I like her. I'm just...interested is all.'' The brunette heard the obvious scoff from the other line and felt his eyebrow twitch in irritation. 'Definitely should have chose someone else to talk to...'

''Listen young grasshopper.'' The blonde deepened his voice and started using an old mans accent that Tsuna couldn't help but to giggle at. ''It was not that long ago that I have been young and foolish around the world of teenage love but I know my fair share of knowledge. You my friend are in like with this girl.''

'''In like'? Really Giotto-nii?''

''Well you don't love this girl but it obvious you're quite infatuated with her.'' The brunette thought about what his brother just said.

Infatuation? Is that really what he was feeling right now? Was curiosity just a stepping stone for this new found feeling for the older Hibari brother? Did he really think of Alaude in that kind of way.

Tsuna was confused. He was scared and intrigued but most all the question still arose of what in the world was he going to do about the predicament he got himself into.

He did always have the worst luck.

Tsuna laid awake in his bed, just wistfully staring at the ceiling in worry. He was positive he didn't like Alaude-san in that way, but was that really an option that he can completely rule out? The brunette never did identify himself as anything but straight so was there really the possibility of him being gay?

'Why, why, WHY does it have to be Hibari-san's brother that makes me question my sexuality? Why am I even questioning it, Kyoko is the only girl I ever liked so I must be straight!' Tsuna felt a blush creeping along his cheeks as Kyoko, Namimori Highs fair maiden, infiltrated his thoughts. Kyoko was always the one girl that ran through Tsuna's dreams and made his heart flutter all day back when he was in middle school but as he graduated from Namimori Middle and the summer hit, he found himself thinking less and less of the golden haired beauty. Once all the students made it to Namimori High in the fall Tsuna's dreams practically diminished to next to nothing and everytime he saw her he was just happy to have a good friend instead of the butterflies he would get back when he was younger.

''D-does this mean I'm not straight anymore?'' Tsuna wailed into his pillow. ''I didn't know my sexual preference even had an on and off switch! What am I gonna do!?'' As Tsuna laid on his bed and fretted his phone beeped and scared him out of his musings. He picked up the orange cellular device and clicked the home button.

'Spam?' It was one of those spam messages from those weird websites that always seemed to get your e-mail address no matter how many times you switched it. Tsuna stared at the screen with squinted eyes. ''How to notice a relationship with these simple signs?'' The brunette opened up the e-mail and read the list with interest.

1. Always together

2. Argues a lot

3. First name basis

4. Embarrass the other easily

5. Stares into each others eyes lovingly

''Oh my God...'' And that's when Tsuna came to a startling discovery, but not about himself...

''GOKUDERA AND YAMAMOTO ARE IN LOVE!''

X-xx-X

After the nonexistent sleep that Tsunayoshi got that night he walked sluggishly to Namimori with a heavy mind. ''How can I not have noticed this before? They're always together, without fail! It's so obvious!'' The brunette mumbled. Just as he was going to enter the gates the sound of rapid footfall and the easily recognizable screech of ''Tsunayoshi-sama!'' halted him in his steps. He turned around to see his silverette friend running at him in full throttle but what really got him interested was the raven that was following behind him, laughing as he walked without a care in the world.

'T-they're together right now!'

''Good morning Tsunayoshi-sama!'' Gokudera yelled as his eyes filled with imaginary sparkles. Tsunayoshi was always Gokudera's bright light in his dull day and the silverette could never find any fault in the brunette. It was always refreshing to see Tsunayoshi, especially after dealing with...

''Good morning Tsuna!'' Dealing with the baseball idiot.

''A-ah good morning you two.'' Suspicious. That was the first thing that came to the brunettes mind as he saw the two start their daily ritual of arguing with each other, or rather Gokudera arguing with Yamamoto as the raven laughs it off as some kind of joke. But now that the brunette thought about it it was always this way.

Gokudera and Yamamoto would always meet up at his house together or he would see them walking to school together. Always together, never too far apart.

'That just screams RELATIONSHIP!'

''Uhh Tsunayoshi-sama are you alright? You're all red.'' Tsuna jumped back before Gokudera's hand can touch his forehead. His eyes couldn't stay focused on either of the teens as he tried to recollect his thoughts. ''O-oh I'm fine Gokudera-kun it's just...Have you and Yamamoto always walked to school like this?''

''Hm?'' The raven looked surprised and thought about the question before his signature smile reappeared on his face. ''I guess we do!''

''N-Not because I want to!'' The silverette was quick to but in. ''W-we just live in the same area so I have no choice but to see him every damn morning!'' Both Tsunayoshi and Yamamoto looked at Gokudera in surprise but the raven was quick to mask the awkwardness with a laugh. ''Maa, maa Hayato you're so panicky.''

'F-first name basis!? When did this happen!'

''S-so...Have you guys always been on...first name basis?'' But before Tsuna could get an answer Gokudera quickly grabbed both his and Yamamoto's hands and rushed them through the gates of the school at a frantic rate.

''OH GEEZ LOOK AT THE TIME SEEMS LIKE HOMEROOM IS STARTING UP! BETTER GET TO CLASS!''

'T-they're holding hands...!'

X-xx-X

Tsunayoshi was trying. Really, really, trying to pay attention to the teacher this time around. Anything to distract him from the list that haunted him, from the mysterious blonde Hibari that enticed him, and the awkward stares that were being passed between his two best friends.

Now it probably wouldn't have been that bad if Tsunayoshi was sitting in front of the duo but the poor brunette was smack dab in the middle of the two teens and he couldn't help but notice the awkward glances the two kept exchanging. 'W-why do they keep staring at each other? Such intensity!'

Tsuna was so preoccupied that he didn't realise the bell go off. He didn't even notice his two best friends stand over him waiting for him to get out of his stupor. ''Umm, Tsunayoshi-sama are you there?''

''H-huh? Y-yeah I'm okay. It's just...Nothing.'' Yamamoto looked worried as he sat down in his seat and placed his hand on the brunette's shoulder. ''Tsuna you know you can speak to us about anything, right?''

''Watch how you say 'anything' Yamamoto.'' Gokudera said through clenched teeth.

''Why? I think Tsunayoshi deserves to know everything about-'' The raven's voice was cut off by Gokudera reaching over and covering his mouth with his hands. ''H-how about you make yourself useful and bring Tsunayoshi-sama some food or something!'' The silverette yelled with an angry red blush. The raven laughed as he left the classroom, completely ignoring the stream of curses coming from Gokudera's mouth.

''I guess Yamamoto makes you nervous huh?'' The blush that was slowly leaving his face returned in full bloom at Tsuna's question.

''N-no! That idiot is always talking out of his ass that it just catches me by surprised that's all!'' Tsunayoshi sat Gokudera down in the back of the classroom and held one of his hands. ''Gokudera you know you can tell me anything right?''

''B-but Tsunay-''

''No matter how much you think you're indebted to my family or if you think I'm some kind of saint you can tell me anything on your mind. I'm your friend first Gokudera-kun, now answer me truthfully Gokudera, are you and Yamamoto in a relationship?''

''Tsunayoshi-sama I...'' The brunette tried to not look eager as Gokudera stared him in the eyes and gave him a small smile. ''I can honestly tell you that me and Yamamoto are not in a relationship.''

''W-what? I was so sure...'' The brunette felt like his morale took a giant leap of the Empire State Building. How in the world could he be so dense? All because he decided to listen to a stupid e-mail. He turned back to his silverette friend and gave him an apologetic smile. ''I'm so sorry Gokudera-kun, I should have never insisted.''

''N-no Tsunayoshi-sama, no need to apologize! there is no shame in being curious! A-anyway I-I'll go see where that baseball idiot ran off to!'' Gokudera was quick to run out of the front classroom door, not noticing the raven walking in through the back door with snacks galore.

''Ah! Did Haya-chan step out?''

''Yeah, he went looking for you.'' 'Haya-chan?'

''Maa, maa I wish he'd have more faith in me, it was only a snack run.'' Yamamoto placed the snacks on Tsuna's desk and happily helped himself to the rice milk he brought himself. ''Y'know I don't really get to drink milk that often since Haya-chan doesn't like it very much. I tell him that's why he's so short but he just gets so flustered and starts hitting me so it's not even worth arguing about.''

''Why doesn't he like milk? It doesn't have a strong smell or anything...''

''Well it does leave a sour taste in my mouth afterwards and Gokudera definitely wouldn't want to kiss me then.''

''Yeah I understand...WAIT WHAT!?'' Tsunayoshi's yell made the raven jump in surprise, nearly making him spill his drink everywhere. He turned to his best friend to see him practically hyperventilate as he tried to process the new information that Yamamoto gave him. ''S-so are you telling me that you and Gokudera are in some kind of weird relationship?''

''What are you talking about Tsuna?''

''G-Gokudera-kun just said you guys were not dating! Is this some kind of twisted freaky thing you two do in your spare time!?'' Tsuna's outburst did nothing but cause Yamamoto to explode into giggles. The brunette's confusion increased tenfold and soon was replaced by anger. ''What's so funny Yamamoto!?''

''H-Haya-chan is!'' His laughter subsided as he gave Tsuna an apologetic gaze. ''We are dating but Haya-chan is just scared of telling you.'' Tsuna's anger completely left him and was replaced with hurt. He couldn't comprehend why Gokudera wouldn't trust him with this kind of information, especially since they tell each other everything, well most things.

But either way it hurt the brunette to know that Gokudera was ashamed to tell him about this part of his life.

''Yamamoto do you know why he-?''

''Sorry about that Tsunayoshi-sama, that damn baseball idiot seems to have disappeared-'' The silverette went quiet as he took in the scene before him. Yamamoto was giving him an apologetic smile while Tsuna glared at the teen. ''Oh God what did that idiot tell you?''

''Ah~ Haya-chan that isn't really nice-''

''Shut it you!'' Gokudera said. ''Whatever you told Tsunayoshi-sama was none of your concern!'' Before Gokudera can continue yelling at the raven Tsuna was quick to but in, slamming his hands on the desk. ''Gokudera stop it!''

''B-but Tsuna-!''

''No but's! Why in the world would you feel ashamed of telling me about your relationship?''

''B-because-!''

''You and Yamamoto have every right to be happy! It shouldn't matter how I see it or how anybody see's it, you deserve to be happy!''The brunette was red from anger and his breath was ragged from yelling so much. Gokudera was surprised at Tsuna's outburst and felt his heart clench in pain. Tsunayoshi, one of the few people that accepted Gokudera for who he was, hot headedness and all, was angry with him. The fact that he caused him to feel like he couldn't be trusted really hurt the teen to the core.

''Tsunayoshi-sama I'm so sorry you've felt this way, it was never intentional! I just had no idea what your stance was on...o-on..''

''On?''

''H-homosexual...relationships...'' The silverette heard a giggle and he quickly whipped his head to Yamamoto who had his hand over his mouth to contain his laughter. ''And why the hell are you laughing!?'' And soon Yamamoto's laughter came bursting forth, but along with Tsuna's soft giggles as well. ''T-Tsunayoshi-sama why are you laughing?''

''B-because...G-Gokudera it's too much.'' The brunette's tried to calm down his giggles but it was virtually impossible at this point. The situation was completely laughable to the brunette. ''Y-your brother...h-he's..''

'''He's' what?''

''He's dating my brother! I don't see how you would have thought this wasn't okay with me.''

''W-what?'' Gokudera looked surprised. Like, genuinely surprised. The brunette was actually confused at the look and raised an eyebrow.

''H-how long...''

''Hm?''

''HOW LONG HAVE THEY BEEN DATING!?'' The outburst caused the brunette to jump up in fear and another round of laughter from Yamamoto. ''Haya-chan your face is turning different colors again!''

''SHUT UP YAMAMOTO. Dammit I'm calling G.!'' Gokudera walked out the classroom, cursing G.'s name and whipping his cellphone out of his pocket. Tsuna and Yamamoto exchanged glances as the sound of Gokudera's yells reverberated off the classroom walls. After a few more minutes of cursing and yells the silverette walked back inside the room, looking as though the world ended. ''I can't believe my brother...'' He slumped into his seat and heaved a heavy sigh.

''I'm so sorry Gokudera it's been three years so far so I thought you knew...''

''HE SAID HE DIDN'T TELL ME BECAUSE I WOULD HAVE BLEW THE SITUATION OUT OF PROPORTION! DO I LOOK LIKE I'M BLOWING IT OUT OF PROPORTION!?''

''Kinda Haya-chan...''

''SHUT UP YAMAMOTO.''

Yamamoto raised his hands in defeat and went back to drinking his milk but before he can get a sip in Gokudera smacked it out of his hand. ''I ALREADY TOLD YOU ABOUT DRINKING THAT HORRID STUFF!''

''But Haya-chan!'' The brunette laughed at the couple's antics. The two turned around at the sound and raised an eyebrow in wonderment. ''Sorry. I'm just relieved is all. I'm glad that you two are happy.''

''Thanks Tsunayoshi-sama.'' Gokudera said. ''But I must wonder why you were so adamant about finding out.'' At this Tsuna let out a nervous giggle before turning his head to the window. ''No reason really, just curious.''

Just as his eyes strayed to the street he was able to see the same black Mitsubishi Eclipse he saw yesterday pull up to the school.
