I'm back to continue this story. I apologies that this has never been updated until now. I will admit it was mainly due to my disappointment with the source material; I still haven't finished it and I don't intend to, so if there is any information that is revealed at the end of the series I will not know about it, so this story will be purely based on my own imagination after a certain point.

So... enjoy, I will do my best to finish this.

Hisui had finally regained conscious, she was welcomed by the sight of her father's concerned face.

"Father?" her voice croaked, she felt groggy and confused as to what has happening and how she got to where she was.

"Hisui my dear, are you alright?" Hisui gently nodded.

"Princess" Arcadio's called out to her. "What is the last thing you remember?"

"The last thing I remember?" she repeated, for some reason she couldn't find an answer, her expression turned to distress, struggling to remember the details "I don't know..." she whispered. She started looking around and was horrified by the sight, rows and rows of injured people were being tended to and the city was nowhere to be found, just a wasteland; she shot up standing. "What is going on? Why are so many people injured?" both Toma and Arcadio's looked at each other awkwardly, both unsure how to break the news.

"Dragons have attacked and our city was destroyed by them" Zitana was the one to answer approaching them.

"Mother!" for Hisui this was the first time she has seen her mother look so worried; in her eyes, her mother was an unwavering figure; seeing her afraid made Hisui incredibly uneasy.

"Arcadios have your men set up a defensive perimeter around the wounded, make sure nobody gets harmed" Zitana ordered, Arcadios stood up giving her a bow.

"Understood" he acknowledged. Toma looked concerned with the mention of their wounded being harmed.

"My queen, what danger is coming our way?" he asked, Zitana looked to her husband with a grim expression.

"A dragon has landed within our perimeter, I'm going to go hold him off"

"What! No offence your Majesty but what can you do against a dragon?" Arcadios yelled, he was absolutely against the idea. "Let my men face the dragon"

"And leave the wounded unprotected? Absolutely not!" Zitana spoke firmly, silencing Arcadios; Hisui decided to try and persuade her mother.

"Mother, please be reasonable, you are only walking to your death, think about how the people would feel, think about how father and I would feel" Zitana looked sadly at her daughter.

"Hisui as royalty it is not just our duty to rule over our people but we must protect them as well" Hisui bit her lip not knowing how to respond. Zitana then smiled "Besides, there is still a lot you don't know about me" this statement confused the princess who stared at her mother.

Toma stared at his wife, there was a glint in her eyes that he hasn't seen in a long time. When they first met, the mystery that shrouded her was what drew him in, it made him want to know more about her; yet the years they've been together she has always found ways to surprise him and that glint would always be the trigger.

"Promise me one thing my dear" he finally said, the other three turned to him. "Come back in one piece"

"Father!"

"Your Majesty!" both Hisui and Arcadio's making protests to the King who silenced them with the wave of his hand. Zitana smiled at him.

"I cannot promise coming back in one piece" she said. "But I can promise coming back alive" Toma smiled back before answering.

"I'll take what I can get".

Levy moved to the other side of the Eclipse Gate, she was familiar with writing runes but compared to what she was writing now, this was completely out of her league, she glanced at Freed and even he was struggling. They were compiling a combination of runes and enchantments, each with a specific formula catered to it; the entire process was incredibly delicate that one small hiccup and the entire spell would need to be rewritten. Levy turned to watching the dragon ram his head against the runic barrier the Queen had Freed setup beforehand.

"The barrier won't hold for long" Zitana said walking onto the scene, she looked to her four assistants. "What's our progress?"

"We have four layers written, the fifth layer is half there, if my calculations are correct, at our current pace we will be ahead of schedule" Hibiki reported.

"Good, keep it up" Zitana walked towards the dragon. "Freed, release the barrier" the four looked at her as if she were crazy.

"No offence your Majesty, but shouldn't we keep the barrier up for as long as possible?" Hibiki questioned.

"He's right, and besides, I have those runes memorized, should there be a need I can simply recast the barrier in no time" Rufus added. Zitana wasn't listening to their arguments.

"I know you can, however the barrier will only hold against physical attacks, once Zirconis uses magic it will cause more damage than I would like; so bring down the barrier, I will deal with him"

"Your Majesty, surely you don't mean by yourself" Hibiki questioned not seeing any form of backup approaching.

"I do, and enough with the questions maintain focus on the objective" she walked towards the dragon. "Freed. Now!" she yelled; even though both Levy and Freed knew who the Queen was, they still couldn't help but fear for her life, but by the Queen's order Freed released the barrier.

Zirconis was finally able to move passed the invisible wall, but he halted upon seeing a woman stand before him, he laughed.

"The humans sent a single woman to stop me?" he exclaimed. "I feel insulted"

"Be glad I am your opponent, had it been the other six you'd be humiliated" Zitana replied. When Zirconis heard this, he had small flashback to his fight with the woman that he thought held the essence of Leviathan. He immediately shook off the memory and instead turned to glare at Zitana.

"Don't look at me like that Zirconis, you know it to be true"

"How do you know my name?" he questioned, Zitana widened her smile.

"I know more than just your name" she continued. "I know that you have a bad habit of ignoring personal hygiene, always leaving it to your little sister to clean up after you" Zirconis eyed the woman suspiciously.

"How do you know that? Answer me!" he swiped his claw at her much to everyone's horror. But like a shield, a green sigil formed around Zitana's hand, she moved to block the claw, stopping it in its tracks, silencing everyone's doubts; Zirconis attacked with his other claw, another sigil formed around her other hand, she pushed away the first claw moving to block the second, the same result. "That magic… just who are you?" the dragon questioned.

"I'm your sister" she jumped forward and with both sigils attacked his chest sending Zirconis away from the gate.

"Continue working and get the spell running as soon as possible" her words snapped everyone's attention back. Zitana moved to follow after her brother.

Sora couldn't watch anymore, even if it was her past self, his mother was in pain; he eyed the one causing her harm, recognizing the man. Jumping out of the ditch, he made his way towards the Four Gods of Ishgar.

"Sora!" Lisanna screamed.

"He's going to stop him" Wendy whispered motioning at Serena.

"I'm going to bring Sora back" Lisanna attempted to jump after the boy but was held back by Wendy.

"It's too dangerous for you, remember, you are still a target" she explained, "I'll go after him" she chased after him; Lisanna, left alone she merely prayed for their safety while looking up at the red sky where Dragneel and Natsu battled.

The two King's soured through the air, whenever their weapons clashed it sent booming waves that cleared away the clouds. Natsu glanced at his shaking grip.

"This isn't going anywhere, we're evenly matched" he looked back. "How are you holding up Happy?"

"A little winded, but I'll be fine" he replied, he was exhausted, he's fought with Natsu in many occasions, however this was the first time he's needed to dodge so much; Dragneel and Natsu's attacks were far too fast.

"You're doing great Happy, if you need to slow down, do so, I can handle his attacks"

"Got it" Happy replied, but his eyes widened upon seeing orbs of fire fly towards them, Happy immediately pulled Natsu back allowing him to counter with his own Heaven's Wrath. With an explosion Happy and Natsu were thrown back, at that moment, Dragneel burst through the smoke swinging Gungnir, Natsu only had time to lift his weapon to block, but the swing was too strong, knocking both Natsu and Happy to the ground. Dragneel was about to follow through with a devastating attack when he heard a scream, it was Marvell.

Serena skidded to the left dodging a wind blade, his smirk never wavering. Roots rose up and wrapped around Marvell's neck and wings.

"Hoh, this one's tough, my roots won't be able to hold it for long" Warrod commented.

"Just break its neck old man, no point playing around" Serena said, Warrod laughed.

"I'm afraid these old bones of mine aren't strong enough to do that, I'll just settle with holding it in place"

"Don't give me excuses!" Wolfheim growled, in his beast form he jumped up grabbing Marvell's throat pulling her down, he then smashed his fist against Marvell's face. The dragon spluttered back shaking away the pain, she whipped her tail, forcing Wolfheim to weaken his grip on her; Marvell then stood up ripping the roots in the process, she took flight but the roots were persistent, chasing after her, catching onto Marvell's tail pulling her down.

A bullet of red liquid hit Marvell's right talon, puncturing it; she let out a painful roar before crashing back to the ground. The red liquid returned to Draculos who had the liquid float in the midst of his palm.

"I understand your reasoning Warrod, it truly is a shame to kill a creature that has been extinct for hundreds of years, but the safety of Fiore comes first, we need to kill it" Draculos said. Serena however snorted.

"It's not a shame, it's an opportunity, I finally get the chance to use what my magic was created for" he then touched the ground.

"Cavern Dragon's…."

"STOP!" a boy's scream halted Serena from going further, he watched a boy run and stand between them and the Dragon. "Stop what you're doing!"

"Boy, it's dangerous, step away" Wolfheim said.

"I won't! You can't kill her!" Sora yelled, not budging from his spot.

"What are you saying child?" Draculos asked, but Sora didn't respond at first, content with just watching the four powerful mages. Marvell stared at the human boy, confused why he was protecting her. Finally finding his courage to speak again, Sora yelled.

"If you kill her, it will cause a time paradox!" both Warrod and Draculos looked at each other.

"Even so, we cannot let these dragons roam free, you've already seen firsthand what they are capable of" Draculos reasoned. "If killing them will prevent more harm to Fiore, then it is a risk we will have to take" Sora grit his teeth, he knew the four of them would be hard to convince, Warrod was probably the easiest to reason with, but at the moment it was all the same, if anything were to be a threat to the country, it was pretty much impossible to sway their minds.

"The Queen has a plan" Sora tried, if he knew anything about the Wizard Saints, they all had deep respect for the Queen.

"A plan?" Warrod asked, his interest peaked.

"Yes, she can send the dragons back to their time but she needs time, we only need to stall for time" the four looked at one another, though they trusted the Queen, they were a little skeptical.

"Warrod" a voice said, only Warrod turned to the voice, looking very surprised.

"Mavis" he whispered.

"Trust the boy, he speaks the truth" she told him.

"Even so, how do we know it will work?" he asked.

"It's a gamble, but seeing as who is leading this plan, I believe there is an eighty five percent chance of it working" Mavis replied. Warrod eyed Mavis' form, there was no doubt that this was his good friend and First Guild Master; and if there one thing he could count on it was Mavis' judgment. However, before anybody could say anything the earth beneath Sora exploded. The three other Wizard Saints turned to Serena with shocked expressions.

"What are you doing!" Draculos cried. Serena stared at his work.

"I am done with words, that boy was hindering the safety of Fiore that alone makes him an enemy" he spoke his reason.

"That still doesn't…" Warrod tried to argue.

"You may reason all you want Warrod, but I have made my decision, the only thing I care about is eliminating any threat to Fiore" the smoke cleared away, and they were stunned by what they saw, the dragon had her wings cradling Sora, protecting him from the attack.

"Why?" Marvell whispered. "Why did my body move on its own?" Sora looked up.

"Mother" he said surprising Marvell.

"Mother? I am not your mother human" the dragon growled. "I don't even have children" yet she felt an odd connection with the boy, she couldn't explain it but her instincts were screaming to protect him.

"Purgatory Dragon's Roar!" Marvell stepped in front of Sora, countering with a breath attack; when their attacks met, Marvell moved her wing over Sora protecting him from the explosion.

"I don't understand…" she mumbled.

"Sora!" Wendy came rushing to Sora's side.

"Mother" he whispered. Wendy turned to Marvell, their eyes met and for the first time Marvell got a good look at Wendy.

"You are me?" the dragon questioned, Wendy nodded.

"Yes, I am the future you" Marvell was stunned and lost for words; Wendy placed a hand on Sora's shoulder. "And this is Sora, our son" Wendy quickly turned around, sensing an incoming attack.

"Gale Dragon's Song of the Wind and Moon" running up Wendy swallowed the wind attack, recharging herself with energy; she wiped her mouth mimicking Natsu's smirk.

"I'm all fired up" Sora couldn't help but smile at his mother using his father's catchphrase. Wendy approached Serena.

"I'm afraid I cannot let you kill her" she said. Serena observed the girl closely, she was obviously a Dragon Slayer based on how she ate his magic, but there was an air of authority to her, something that he has only ever seen when speaking with the King and Queen. But that didn't stop him, he pointed a finger at her

"Storm Dragon's Thunderous Strike" a lightning bolt struck Wendy, it was painful, but she endured, she held out for a few seconds before vanishing and reappearing behind Serena landing a hit against his back, he stumbled forward.

"This certainly is surprising, you certainly are far more resilient than I first anticipated" he looked at Wendy's Guild Mark. "You are from Fairy Tail; they are quite well known for producing quality mages" glancing back at Warrod. "You should be proud Warrod, seven years has passed and your old Guild has finally come back stronger than ever" he turned back to Wendy a wild smile plastered on his lips "But that won't change anything!" the ground beneath Wendy split and lava started pouring out; Wendy jumped back watching it flow.

"Molten Dragon's Hungering Fang" the lava spread and formed into a wave attempting to swallow Wendy up, she countered by split the lava in two with her wind blades.

"Sky Dragon's Hurricane" through the gap, a ground shattering gust of wind blasted through, hitting where Serena previously stood. Serena was now high up in the air surveying his opponent's positioning. Smirking lightning gathered in his hand.

"Storm Dragon's Great Fang!" he threw a lightning harpoon at Wendy before he enveloped himself in lightning, with a boost of speed he flew after his attack.

"Sky Dragon's Wing Attack!" Wendy easily knocked the lightning harpoon away, and upon seeing Serena approach she stepped back throwing a wind blade at him. He dashed around it continuing towards Wendy, she disappeared just in time for Serena to pass through her and crash into the ground; she reappeared but in a predictable location; a stone spike lay waiting and as Wendy's feet touched the ground it shot out towards her. A large tail came, swiping the rock away allowing Wendy to stumble, she looked up at Marvell who had saved her.

"Don't get the wrong idea human, I still have my doubts, but if you are indeed telling the truth" the dragon smiled. "Then it is only proper that I watch my own back" Wendy smiled back. Sora watched in watch awe, her mother's human and dragon forms working side by side, it was a sight to behold.

"Arms, Armor, Vernier" Wendy cast her enhancements on Marvell and herself. Dashing at Serena, the man was taken back by her sudden burst of speed. Getting struck on the side as Wendy passed by Serena recoiled, his eyes darting back and forth; but he had forgotten Wendy was not his only opponent, a claw came crashing down onto him shattering the ground beneath his feet. Marvell wanted to swing her tail but found it to be caught by a pair of large hands, it was Wolfheim; he pulled Marvell back from Serena and was about to attack but instead was forced to release her and retreat, in his place landed Gajeel; the Iron dragon looked up at the Sky Dragon giving her his trademark grin.

"So, you finally know what's up" he said to Marvell. "What will you do now?" the dragon looked back at him now identifying him as Redfox.

"I'll cooperate for now" she responded watching with great awe as more human versions of the King's guard started appearing, the most notable being Leviathan; she never imagined the legendary serpent would become human.

"Serena pull back for now, jumping head first against these children will get you killed" Draculos told Serena who was climbing out of his hole. "It was unwise to underestimate them" Serena hated to admit it, but he was right; the young mage had definitely surprised him with her skill in magic.

Rogue and Sting easily pushed Wolfheim back, while Juvia intercepted Draculos' magic with her own, blood clashed with water. Both sides separated, the dragons on one side, the gods of Ishgar on the other.

"Why are you defending the dragon's, when minutes before you were fighting them?" Draculos questioned.

"We may have fought them but we never intended to kill them" Wendy responded.

"As much as I want to trust in the Queen's plan, there is too much at risk, if this plan fails then letting dragons run free will cause too much danger to Fiore" Draculos said.

"And we're telling you killing the dragons could cause even more danger to our world" Gajeel shouted. "They need to be sent back to their own time!" Wolfheim eyed them suspiciously.

"Why are you five so insistent on protecting the very beings that destroyed this city?" the five held their tongues, it was a valid question and their answer would determine their fate in the future; though surprisingly, their answer was easy. They all stood firm, their eyes turning draconic.

"Because we must protect our past" the five were enveloped in a magic light blinding all spectators, when it faded everyone was absolutely flabbergasted, even Marvell was left stunned, standing there were five dragons, all fully prepared for battle.

When Serena first heard that dragons have attacked, he was ecstatic, he was finally able to use his magic for what it was designed for; but when he arrived, he was so disappointed that there were so few dragons, it killed his mood, he didn't believe anything here would be worth his time, but now he felt a new burning passion within himself; he smirked, his magic flaring. He looked over to Wolfheim and Draculos, they too were preparing for battle, already determined to do what they must. Warrod sighed moving to take his place with the other three.

"I'm sorry Mavis" he said. Mavis could only look at him sadly.

"There is nothing to be sorry for, you do what you must" she responded. "Just don't get yourself killed, those dragons are Master's royal guard, they are far more powerful than anything you will ever face"

"Dragneel's people?" Warrod looked back to the dragons. "This does pose a problem"

"As you may know Warrod, my allegiance is to my Master and to Fairy Tail. And those dragons are a part of that allegiance; we may not be enemies but I will be assisting them in every way possible" Warrod chuckled at this.

"Then let us make this a competition between old friends?" Mavis laughed.

"Just like the old days" Warrod joined in with a small laugh.

"Yes, just like old days"
