Amy awoke up and looked around. 'This isn't my house." She said. The decor was completely opposite of her home. She had plenty of light, colored furniture, white walls and plenty of pictures of her friends. Her cottage is the picture of home.'This place, to say the least, was as welcoming as a cave filled with demons. There was no pictures. The only furniture in this place was a red arm chair and the dark brown sofa. The walks were a dark grey, and there only seemed to be one door in or out the out the room. She looked down and saw a light coming from the bottom of the doorframe slightly illuminating the the hard wood floor.

Still not knowing where she was, the girl decided it might be best that she left. Looking for another way out. 'There!' She said as she saw another door hidden in the shadows. She pulled herself up, then suddenly stop and hissed. 'Stupid, you just got beat up, of course you're going to be in pain.' She berated herself. Carefully, she place one foot then the other on the floor. She heard footsteps in the lit room and decided it wasn't times to be gentle. With out prepping herself, Amy rose to her feet and put all her weight on her to legs. They protested, buckling and sending her to the ground with a loud heavy thud. The footfalls in the other room stopped and and started again this time sounding like they were coming toward the door. The injured hedgehog didn't know what to do, she manifested her hammer, hoping her arms would be able to support the heavy weapon. The door opened, she closed her eyes and swung.

Shadow had gone in the kitchen to fix his responsibility some food. Unfortunately that meant making food. It wasn't the ebony hedgehog's culinary abilities that were in the way, it was the lack of food in the first place. Being the ultimate life form, he did not need to eat that often. Because of this, he can usually not buy groceries for weeks.

He sighed and looked in the almost completely empty fridge. 'Bread, turkey, cheese...I'll just make a damn sandwich.' He thought angrily. He pulled down a plate and heard the springs in the couch creak and guessed either she was up or shifting in her sleep. Right know, it didn't matter, he would be in there soon. Once he had assembled the sandwich, he pulled down a cup. He was filling it with tap water, when suddenly there was a loud thump from the living room.

Catching the cup that had fallen from his hands he put it on the counter and marched over to the door. 'She is too much trouble for her on good. He opened the door and was thrown back by the force of something hitting him. When he finally hit the ground. He was back in the kitchen.

"Shadow?" Called a voice from inside the living room. He held back the string of curse threating to explode out his mouth. "Rose..." he said drawing out the last syllable, filling it with all of the frustration this situation has given him. "Sorry, I didn't know it was you." He could feel, the small apologetic smile on her lips. After he gathered himself he filled the cup with water. "I'm going to have to ask you never to do that again."

He said as he place the items on the table. He looked at her glaring. She flashed him a smiled, that quickly morphed into a grimace when she tried to shrug her shoulders. He picked her up gingerly and placed her back on the couch. After she had devoted the sandwich, and downed the water, all under the watchful eye of shadow, he decided it was time to get the whole story.
