A/N: I think it'd be every bit redundant of me to even try and apologize for the delay. I've finally decided to consent with all the lovely reviews I've gotten, the anon ones included, and I endorse all of your opinions, ideas and praises, and they flatter me to no known end. One of you even said that this is their OTP, ahaha! It made me glad. I hope I won't disappoint you with this long a delay in the future.

This chapter is more of a drabble, just to let you know that the story is alive again. I cannot promise the next chapter will come quickly, but I shall try to deliver faster. That is all. I hope you'll enjoy. :)

5. End Of The Beginning

"Nyu!" he ran, an infantile smirk adorning his face. He'd already forgotten the godforsaken fight, and ran toward his blessing as if she was the last thing he will ever get to see in this life.

However, now awaken, Lucy had different ideas.

The vectors had already done their magic and Hidan was seized, hovering above her, struggling for breath.

"N-Nyu-" the grip would only tighten the more he tried to resist.

And before the moment was done, Hidan had passed from consciousness, his head lifelessly faltering downward and his lids dropping.

Lucy found it fit to release the Akatsuki at this point, as his body met the ground with a dull thud.

Gazing at him, however, Lucy realized how her body had been left bare, and as usual, she had no clue of how in the name of hell it happened. The cold wind blew and left her body in shivers, prompting her to provide herself some clothes, and fast.

And again, she would fixate her orbs upon Hidan; his cloak, to be exact. Lucy approached him cautiously, allowing her vectors to inspect him first. Even though he slumbered like a corpse, his heart treacherously beat on, his ribs moving up and down in a motion.

With little regard, Lucy stripped him, taking off his cloak and donning in onto herself, leaving him exposed and solely in his violet pants.

She could still smell the Jashinist's odor as his cloak warmed her. But it didn't matter. His figure was unimportant. And if it attracts somebody dangerous upon her...

Lucy made a grim smile at the notion.
