In India, the change to Liz and Patti's meister's demeanor was apparent not during the fight with the Kishin, but after. They were in a back alley in New Delhi in the dead of night, a position anyone familiar with Northern India would not envy. Liz, of course, was not at all familiar with the region, and so was not so much grateful for their solitude as she was expecting it.

"These people commit evil acts left and right," Kid began to rant. "I can feel them, they're like Kishin themselves! Why should the world have to suffer their presence?" He demanded, waving his arms in fervor.

"Kid, maybe you should calm down," she suggested, trying to sound imploring, and not just confused.

"You're defending them? Do you know what would happen if I left you two alone here?" When she didn't answer, he took it as a sign to continue. "You'd either be raped then killed, or killed then raped, depending on who found you!"

"I think you're exaggerating, Kid!" She replied, sounding stern this time, irritated by his lack of faith in her abilities to not be murdered.

He didn't answer, though, and just as Liz began to think he'd ignore her and bring down wrath on the citizens of New Delhi, he swore and summonsed Beelzebub in a particularly violent manner, leaving the area.

Later, it was as though no argument had ever happened at all. It was the strangest things until Liz learned of Yama, the death god who judged the dead and ruled over Hindu and Buddhist hell.

She decided that telling (or reminding,) Kid he'd lectured her on rape by foreigners would be cruel, even for her tastes, and let the topic slide.

A/N: I have it on reasonably good authority (an Indian girl) that in some parts of North India, women aren't safe walking around without male escorts, and the politicians are extremely corrupt. So that's where the talk came from.
