Prologue: The Soul Queens guilt and decision.

Sitting atop her throne in her palace, The Soul Queen, supreme ruler of The Soul Society, lowered her head in shame.

Her realm had finally recovered from a catastrophic war and peace had returned.

But, within the Elemental Nations, a certain summoning clan had broken one of her laws and she sought to punish them.

However, she failed to plan things properly.

The one she had chosen to be the hand of her judgement had suffered a lifetime of loneliness and pain due to her incompetence.

The results were staring her in the face and it made her feel utterly depressed.

As she peered through her all-seeing screen, she noticed that she would have to execute her plan sooner than she wanted.

The queen sighed, "I can't believe it's come to this. For 12 years, I've allowed things to spiral so far out of control. Now, the chosen one is on the brink of falling victim to the sadness caused by those who despise him. I must do something soon. Otherwise, he's doomed."

With that, she opened her personal senkaimon and left for the Elemental Nations...
