AN: This is just a completely random thought that I had. If you are colorblind, please don't take offense to this as I myself am colorblind. I was just thinking about the change in color for sasuke's eyes when he uses the sharingan and the change in color for Naruto's eyes when he uses Kyuubi's chakra. For this story Naruto is colorblind and has a hard time telling the difference between red and black. I also thought, hey what if the power of the sharingan was just in your head where if you didn't really know about it or didn't believe it was that powerful, does it really affect you. Anyway on with my first ever oneshot.
Why the Sharingan doesn't affect colorblind people
Naruto and Sasuke were in their first fight at the valley of the end. It was at the point when Sasuke first activated his Sharingan for the fight when he decided to try and catch Naruto in a genjutsu. He and Naruto were looking straight into each others eyes but Naruto seemed to have a look of extreme concentration on his face. Sasuke decided to give in to his curiosity just this once to try and figure out why Naruto wasn't caught in his genjutsu.
"Dobe, why aren't you caught in my genjutsu?"
"I CAN'T FIGURE OUT WHAT DAMN COLOR YOUR EYES ARE, TEME."
Sasuke just stood there dumbfounded trying to think of something to say to that when Naruto spoke again. "Hey Teme, come over here so I can figure out the color of your eyes." Sasuke, still completely confused, just walked over in front of Naruto. What he didn't notice as Naruto was staring intently into his eyes was the second Naruto sneaking up behind him with a very large cast iron frying pan in his hand and a very fox like grin on his face. The next thing he knew was the blackness of unconsciousness.
When he finally woke up he saw the white ceiling of a hospital. When he turned to his left he saw a sleeping Sakura, when he turned to his right he could've sworn he saw something that he thought would be impossible. He could've sworn he saw Naruto and Hinata Making out. When he turned to see if it was real, all that he saw was Naruto, but he was blushing quite a bit. That is when he deduced to never satisfy Naruto's desires to find out what color his eyes are, and remembered something his mother once told him.
