The Mermaid and The Merwolf
Chapter 3
Authors notes: So very sorry for the long wait. I hope you guys stick with this story. I have yet to decide on any pairings for this fanfic; so for the time being Leah and Bella will be single ladies. I have finally gotten more inspiration for this fanfiction finally. I hope that you all enjoy this next chapter.
Bella had left with Alice to go save Edward. It took only a few minutes for Leah to realize the danger she had just decided to let her best friend walk into.
"I'm such an idiot." Leah muttered to herself. She quickly shifted running as fast as she could hoping that she wasn't to late t stop Bella. If the Voltouri found out about Bella being a mermaid they most likely wouldn't allow her to leave go. She wouldn't allow them to take away her best friend. She's be damned if she let them hurt her best friend in any way shape or form.
Leah growled at the thought and increased her speed. After what seemed like hours she finally arrived at the outskirts of the forest. Leah shifted back into human form and pulled on her clothes.
She rushed to the front desk. "I'd like a ticket on the next flight to Italy." She informed the woman.
"The next plane to Italy is about to take off and the plane is already full mam."
"Shit." Leah swore, "When's the next flight?"
"Not for a couple of days."
"Damn it!" She swore again. She took a minute to compose herself before replying. "Thanks for the help." Leah watched as the plane took off.
How was she supposed to get to her now? After a few minutes of thinking she groaned and internally smacked herself in the head. She was a mermaid to for God's sake she could swim most of the way and then run the rest.
Leah ran into the forest and shifted. She quickly ran to the nearest ocean. The beach was deserted thankfully. Leah shifted back into Human form and then dressed. She ran into the water and relished the feeling of her golden tail as it formed.
"Now, let's see how fast this baby can go." She thought before taking off at lightning speed.
She reached Italy in record time an hour before Bella and Alice were set to arrive. What was she supposed to do now? Leah found a wooden bench and sat down; waiting patiently for her friend and the leech...vampire to arrive.
She sat there for what seemed like forever; when she spotted the pixie haired vampire and Bella. Leah shot up off the bench and took off after them.
"Bella!" Leah called out.
Bella looked around in confusion trying to find the person calling her name. When she spotted her she looked surprised, "What are you doing here Leah?"
"Saving your ass," She commented, "What do you think?"
"What do you mean?"
"If you go through with this Bella, If they find out what you and I are... They'll never let us go."
"Well, I can't just let Edward die." Bella argued back.
"I understand. That's why I came. If you're really going through with this, than I'm going with you."
"I can't let you do that Leah."
"It's not your choice now is it." She shot back, "Besides, your my best friend, and best friends stick together no matter what."
"Thank you." Bella said with a small smile.
"You're welcome, now lets go save your man Bella."
The two girls ran to save Edward. Bella went up by herself and stopped Edward from getting himself exposed as a vampire.
The Voltouri then took Bella and Leah and Alice followed.
"Hands off her leeches." Leah growled at the members of the Voltouri coven.
"Well, what do we have here?" Aero said. He looked Leah up and down observing her with intrest.
"Hey my face is up here Perv." Leah shot back at the vampire.
"Well, you've sure got spirit, I'll give you that." Alec said. "It's a pity that we'll have to destroy you."
"What makes you think you can destroy me?" Leah smirked.
"You're just a puny hu-" Marcus paused sniffing the air. "You're a werewolf." He growled.
"That's right Leech. Now let my friend go and nobody gets hurt." Leah threatened.
"You think you can take us all on Werewolf?" Jane demanded looking very smug.
"Oh I don't think. I know." Leah crouched down about to shift.
"NO! Leah wait." Bella pleaded.
"What? Why should I?" Leah demanded.
"Don't make this worse than it already is Dog." Edward told her.
Bella turned on him. "First of all you do NOT call my best friend a dog, Secondly, Don't you dare ever talk like that about her."
"Bella I-" Edward began but was cut off by her.
"Save it Edward." She growled at him before turning back to the Volturi. "Let me and my friends go."
"I don't think your in any position to make any threats human." Caius replied.
"Who said anything about me being human, vampire?" Bella said. She thrust her hand out in front of her and froze Caius in a soliud block of Ice.
Alice, and Edward looked on Stunned, along with the rest of The Volturi. "Nice Bella."
"Thank you Leah." Bella smirked. "I'll say it only once more. Let Me, Leah, Alice, and Edward go."
"Or pay the price." Leah added holding her hand out as well only she curled her hand into a fist and melted the ice away from Caius.
Aro inspected the frozen solid Caius. "I didn't know werewolfs possessed the ability to melt things..."
"They don't." Leah said.
"Then how do you have this ability child?" Aro asked calmly studying her intently.
"Like I'd tell you that." Leah shot back. She looked to Bella. "Now!" She mouthed.
Bella thrust her hand out using wind to throw away the vampires from them. The girls took off Running With Leah and Edward behind them.
The two girls smiled at each other. "We'll meet you later bacl in Forks." Bella informed them.
"How are you going to get home thou-" Alice began to ask; but was cut off by a sound af two splashed in the water. They turned around and the girls were gone.
Author's notes: Sorry if this chapter sucks. My brain is basically mush with my beign sick and all. Hope it doesn;t suck to badly that you will all stop reading this story.
