Scream for Me

One shot ~ Destiel Fluff: Dean and Cas watch a horror movie, and fight over what doesn't make sense.

Disclaimer: I obviously do not own Supernatural or Scream. If I did...

Cas snuggled up to Dean on the motel room's lumpy old couch, and frowned as he noticed a cute blonde girl on the television screen. She had a frightened expression on her face and grabbed some sort of pin that she held up as a weapon.

"What is this, Dean? And why doesn't the blonde girl in the wig grab a knife? Wouldn't that be a better suited weapon?" Cas asked, inquisitive. He thought it looked rather interesting and wanted to know why the man in the mask wanted the cute girl dead.

"It's a movie, Cas. I'm trying to watch, don't talk." Dean stated, nonchalant.

Cas was a little melancholy that Dean didn't want to talk to him, but he played it off and focused on the girl on screen. Why didn't she run away? He pondered.

...

After the movie, Dean made a move toward Cas, but Cas remained stagnant.

"What's wrong?" Dean wondered?

"I don't understand the movie." Cas transfixed on Dean's eyes, "Why did they kill the principal? He let them off school, I thought that would be something that would excite school children."

Dean smirked at "school children." Cas was always so formal.

"It was just filler, Cas, otherwise they wouldn't have had any more kills until the scene at the kid's house." Dean said.

"One other thing, may I add. Why didn't the girl just leave town? Wouldn't that make life easier? And why did Paige try to fit through the pet door, was she trying to turn herself into a cat? And why would all those parents leave school children alone with a killer on the loose?" Cas never took a breath.

"Cas, it's just a movie. If it made sense, it wouldn't be so mysterious and interesting."

"I find common sense very intriguing." Cas said.

Dean sighed and glanced at the ground. Cas always had to be so damn incredulous.

"How about we do something that does make sense, Cas? Dean asked.

"I don't think bowling alleys are open this late, Dean." Cas questioned.

Dean wrapped his arms fully around Cas, and pressed their lips together. Cas remained stolid.

"What now?" Dean practically yelled.

"How did the rotund man get on that news van? I didn't think those boys were very strong."

Dean through his hands in the air, "I give up." He grumbled. He wasn't ever watching a movie with Cas again.

Suddenly, Sam burst through the door with Dean's favourite pie. His face immediately went pink when he noticed Dean and Cas on the couch.

"Oh, uh, sorry." He said, awkwardly. "I didn't mean to cockblock you guys."

"Don't worry about it, Cas cockblocked himself." Dean mumbled to only himself.

Cas remained on the couch, deep it thought.

"Cas?" Dean asked.

"I get it now!" Cas screamed, effervescently. "Paige never really died, and she used her magical powers to lift the man off the ground onto the van so he would be safe!"

"Cas?" Dean asked.

"Yes?"

"No." Dean deadpanned.

Cas's face broke into a frown...

"You don't know everything." He whined.

Meanwhile, Sam broke into laughter.

"Does it really matter? Are you guys actually fighting about fictional things?"

Dean and Cas looked confused.

"Yes." They said in harmony.
