Chapter 16: Jealousy

The sun rose up with it's annoying light directly at my face,I forgot that my window was wide open letting in the fresh air and the annoying sun shine bright to my face,it felt good and bad at the same time,maybe I'll just forget about everything yesterday or perhaps that thing was only a dream and today was the ball,I looked around outside my window and saw peppermint butler holding a bunch of tray on his hands, he was with another candy dude that looks like a caramel ball with a mustache on his face,he was wearing a blue hat and blue belt on his waist,nothing seem out of the ordinary..well not yet anyway..,wait..i can't remember that he was assign to the castle at the first place maybe this dude is one of those robbers in disguise, I don't want to point out to conclusion im just saying you can't trust many people nowadays.

I stretch a little and comb my raven colored hair while walking toward the main room,a lot of candystaff were packing the decorations away and put it in the candy attic that was near on bonnibelle's library, bill was still on his formal chef attire with the white apron and whatnot lighting a cigarrate on the candycouch,he looked at me for a moment and placed the cigarrate down the candy ashtray placed neatly on the coffee table perhaps he knew that I will just nag about him about smoking, I mean.. I did learn from him a lot back in the old days,I sat next to him while yawning for a few seconds and relax at the soft pillow of the candycouch, he offered me a cigarette while looking at the other staff carrying stuff like tables and those sort of cookie like decorations placed on the wall.

"your up pretty early, girly" he said scratching his chin

"yeah well,i have a lot of things to do around the castle"

"you sure it isn't about that pretty pink princess over there?" he said pointing to bonnibelle upstairs

Bonniblle was upstairs holding her candycane pencil checking stuff around the castle as usual with her new lover next to her,I pout a little and looked away, bill was just there smiling at me teasing me with his all jerky attitude,he tap me with his elbow and raised a brow on me, I guess it's pretty obvious that I like bonnibelle, right? Is there a call for this emotion when a person loves you but never loves you back, wait.. I remember peppermintbro and I talked about this stiff a few days ago after the incident where the decorations invaded the town, is this what they call friendzone?,glob, silly me and here I am thinking about love problems over and over again,lady rainicorn was holding a teacup on her right hoof and a spoon on her left,do rainbowhorses know how to drink since they don't have thumbs?

"dude, i'm positive im on thinking about bonnibe" I reply after a long hour of observing

"girly, I didn't ask if you were thinking of her" he said winking

"wow,someone's a little grouchy, I'm just lighting you up babe"

"sorry" I said looking down on the tiles

"something bothering you?"

"it's nothing" I gave a short pause and continue " bill, what did you do after your wife and kid left you, did you feel sad?"

"well..let me tell you something about relationship, if you love something you need to let it go,that's how love goes y'know what I'm saying?"

"I get it, but.. don't you ever miss her?"

"sometime's I do, but that's not the point" he said patting my head " love comes and go I guess, pretty deep stuff asking this toward me, I'm guessing you have some bad relationship thing going on"

"well, I never really don't have a relationship anymore" I looked away

"oh….." he said clapping both of his hands " I get it"

"what?"

"your jealous aren't you?"

"jealous!?, what!? I am not!"

"so what IF I am!?"

"why not ask your princess for advice on that?"

"whatevs dude" I roll my eyes and look around

Peppermint butler finally came by with a long list on his right hand,I immidently stand up and looked at his frustrated face, he was holding the candy list so tightly maybe that candy dude that I saw earlier did something majorly wrong on the castle,he glared at bill for a moment, maybe wondering why he's not helping around the castle I mean he did cook for the party right?,peppermintbro sigh deeply and cleared his throat, oh boy, I bet he'll nag about him not helping the others, I know bill too well and let's say he doesn't take orders from anyone,he gave a small grim and look at me.

"excuse me *cough* bill, could you perhaps help the other members on the staff for our royal highness?"

"what's this peppermintbro?, acting like your not so badass when were at the royal castle" he said while giving peppermintbro a brofist on his shoulder

"*cough* my behaviour on the castle is the same as it on your so called candybar *cough*" said peppermint butler

"oh? Then you wouldn't mind if I sit like a boss on this royal sofa"

"augh… your behaviour is not appropriate for the princess viewing, if you have nothing to do then I am asking you quite nicely that you should leave the castle"

"whatevs man" he gave a one last smoke and left

"what the plum was that!?, bill's our friend" I yelled

"duty first marceline, I think you know what that means right?"

"yeah,yeah"I said rolling my eyes

"*cough* beside's I think you should go to the royal garden and check on the princess" he said while pointing at my cheek repeatedly

"but she's with her magical rainbow unicorn, I can't just interrupt them in there"

"who said about interrupting?" he quickly gave me a giant scissors for the garden

I glare at him for a moment while he walks to the staff,I sigh for a moment and headed toward the so called royal garden more of like a labyrinth to me, the sun was shining so hard that it's hurting my eyes, I can clearly see a pink table with some pink teacups at the side,there was a plate filled with cake's and biscuits too,again there's this weird thoughts coming through my brain I mean come on the cake is filled with frosting and to be specific it's a pink one probably strawberry flavored,they have this weird fancy table napkins that has a golden embroidery at the side, lady rainorn placed it on her…uhmm long body, wait does that mean that unicorn thing has a long stomach too?,I lifted the scissors and hide on the gummy bushes next to the cotton candy trees,good thing they didn't invite the purple cloud chick she's REALLY annoying, I could have probably throw this to her or it, I'm sounding mean right?, fuck, this is what happens when this weird feeling is swelling up on your chest and you somehow want to do something about it but you can't,what did bill call this? Jealousy? Augh.. I started clipping the bushes a candy staff approach me with a mustache holding a pipe on his left hand, I'm definetly sure that this is the guy that I saw on the window earlier,he was pulling my pants off lightly, to tell you the truth I want to whisper to him that I am currently observing someone right now but that would blow my cover,I looked at him with a sigh and placed the giant scissors on the side, what do they call this things anyway shears?,he took off his hat and bowed down to me, I giggled a little on the way he acted he kind of reminded me of ash except he wasn't a candy and he was on military, fuck, marceline get a hold of yourself!

"good day m'lady" he greeted me

"yeah..morning" I replied to him with a poker face

"you seem not happy, is work on the castle too rough for ya?"

"not really, I'm kind of use to chores anyway"

"wow, you must be a pro on the kingdom!" he said excitedly

" a pro?, heh.. on other things I guess" I grabbed his small hat and twirl it around my fingers "so mr. caramel why are you here?"

" oh no m'lady, my name is not that"

"really?, I thought candy people have obvious name's like peppermint bro, or doctor ice cream I guess I was wrong,huh?"

He chuckled for a second and replied "is that so?,your really funny miss, really"

"yeah,yeah, I get it I'm funny, just tell me your name"

"wow,someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed"

"oh nevermind" he murmur "my name is starchy a newbie on the castle"

I turned my back and started cutting the bushes again and focus on bonnibelle and lady. a few leaves fell to the candy ground sometimes I try to think if I would eat the gummy bushes since I didn't have breakfast this morning, oh well.. I bit a small gap on the leaves, it tasted really really awful, like REALLY AWFUL, it's salty and sour and tasted like some old gymsock on uncle's house,why do I even know that I didn't even tried to eat uncle's sock, as soon as I tasted the awful thing I immidently spit it out, a small laughing voice was at the background, oh gosh, I hope it's not bonnie, I hope it's not bonnie, I slowly look back and saw starchy laughing out loud with his pipe, he rolled on the grass like some fangirling lunatic, I immidently frowned at him and give him the i-am-dead-serious stare,minutes later he stopped, I crossed my elbow and pouted.

"starchy!"

"what?"

"DO NOT TELL THIS TO ANYONE, EVEN BONNIBELLE!"

"ma'am, yes, ma'am" he said with a salute "but..i think you should have eating something first before you work"

"well.. I was.. until the whole talk with my buddy thing went out of hand"

"so you tried the bushes?" he said quoting it

"yeah"

"didn't the princess told you that it taste sour and salty?"

"if she did, I wouldn't have took a bite on it right?" i replied

"oh..right"

I sight for a moment and continued "just.. don't..tell bonnibelle please, I did something stupid"

"and what if she already knows?" said a voice at my back

OH SHIT.

I put starchy down on the candy grown and turned my back, as excepted it was bonnibelle looking cute on her pink gown,she was holding a teacup on her right hand, lady on the other hand placed her teacup at her back,my mouth was hanging open as I saw her,she giggled at my expression and sip some of her tea,I almost throw starchy on the air from bonnibelle's voice,starchy immidently bowed down to her royal brainlord and greeted her while caressing his mustache,is he serious? Really!? He wriggled his eyebrow and gave a soft smile. Does he really think he's lame style is gonna work? Bonnibelle seems flattered,she was being coy like her usual self does.I immidentlly pout and stare at him with my eyes,I seriously want to punch him for what he has done,fuck,this jealousy thing is getting way out of hand.

"hello princess" said starchy

"salutations, mister starchy, would you care for some tea and biscuits?" said bonnibelle

"oh no thanks miss, I got some work to do but.." he suddenly patted my leg and smile "this young lady seems to be a little bit hungy *giggle*"

{oh?, well would you like to join us for some tea marceline?}

"uhh..no..thanks..i-I'm good" I stutter

I frown at him, I specifically said to him not to tell this to bonni,aughh.. calm down marceline,my face was red as a tomato facing her,I bit my lower lip and try to act cool and pretend it didn't happen,lady rainicorn grabbed or more like bit the plate of biscuits and placed it on my hand,the dial on lady raincorn's leg is tempting me, I want to turn it so badly,damn my hands are moving by it's own,control yourself marceline! Bonnibe's watching!The sun is being annoying lately, gosh I'm sweating so much,I hope bonnibe doesn't notice or maybe this is just adrenaline from bonnibelle's cute face,I mean she did triggered this right? I almost forgot about the large shears that pep bro gave me,fuck where is it? Oh right, at the awful candy bushes, why can't anybody burn this thing? I mean no one would have the guts to eat this horrible thing,bonnibelle giggled and gave me a small smile she notice the small bite at the leaf,my eyes wonder off looking at all direction, I feel like this is one of those boring spy movie's on bill's bar except this is the part where I'm nothing more than an evil villain who is inlove with the protagonist, okey enough about movies.

"marceline, did you just *giggle* eat the royal bush?"said bonnibelle

"no" I lied and looked away "okey.. maybe, but you don't have proof!"

{don't worry marceline, I used to eat the those way back} said lady

"you ate sock flavored bushes?" I said in disbelief

{it doesn't taste that bad like it used to}

"man for candy bushes this taste… unnatural" I said " why do you need these for?, don't you have enough banana guards to guard you?"

Nice save sometimes I wanna give myself a high five for my quick thinking.

"yes, but the great billy told me to not rely on guards, besides these bushes create toxic gas when you burn them it's more of like a mosquito repellant for the citizen" explained bonnibelle

"so.. your saying is that I ate a mosquito repellant?"

"precisesly"she said lifting her right index finger

I turned around and spit a bunch of my saliva on the candy ground,oh gosh, am I gonna kill myself since the bush that I ate is highly toxic? I kept doing this for a few more seconds, I grabbed lady rainicorn's tea and drank about two teapots without hesitation,damn it was hot a lot of tea was spilled on my shirt,a good way to start the morning right? Since the tea was SO hot I rolled over the candyground for minutes,damn,why am I acting so stupid lately? I mean I always act stupid if I wanted to but this time it's different,once the liquid was cooled off, I stood up and looked at them laughing so much at bonnibelle's pink fancy table,I schratched my head for a second and looked at the with confusion,I smiled a little and laugh with that was over I joined them at theyre fancy table while holding the giant shears,there was a bunch of cupcakes and cakes that was left on the table,darn,it looks so tasty,I can hear my stomach rumbling below,patience marceline,you'll get breakfast soon for now this is bonnibelle and her girlfriend's tea royal tea party.starchy on the other hand was busy sipping tea on the fancy table,wait did I just ruined theyre date?
