utenafangirl: lol, sorry about the mixed vibe thingy. I just can't write certain things yet since it'll give out a lot of hints about how the Lightning's future will go and I'm all for the go for the mysterious feel of stories. Sooo, yeah. :3

EasyHB: It's hard to swallow any stories about abuse but they are real. There are people who are lucky enough not to witness them. But they are very real and I honestly wanted to dedicate this story to those people who isn't lucky enough but are strong enough to withstand them. To tell them that they shouldn't be afraid and that there is still hope, I guess? But that's for the latter chapters. I'm still in the midst of building up their relationships with each other.

Rapier11: here's the next one plus I'm already starting on the next. :3

Agger: not sadistic, just really stubborn. lols. But anyways, this is a drama/romance story but I try to balance it out with a bit of humor once in a while. As for Serah, I guess she was still a kid. I never really believed that any child withing the age of 1-3 years old could remember their past like those in tv series. Plus it's one of traumatic events of the Farron sisters, any person who has encounters a traumatic experience tries to block their memories of it, right?

roxyrohas1313: Gahd, it's more like a year roxy and thanks for the long review. I appreciate it. and yes, I admit I have stop writing this fic a few months for a little while but that's just because of some issues I was having. Trust me, you did more than just inspiring after I've gone over again your reviews.

Geh, You actually just guessed one of my latter chapters about the Serah thing which I was having trouble linking with the current one and I'm getting to that. I'm just having a little mixed up for the scenes in between.

Anyways about Lightning's situation, anyone would change after an event like that which will be elaborated more (hopefully) in the succeeding chapters and of course so is Fang's. so bare with me, please. :3

The first time I read this review, I was kind of surprise. When I thought of this title, I didn't actually get to read your review yet so imagine my face when I saw the first song you suggested. What are the odds, right?

Hmm, any recommendations of the other songs though? Not being a lazy ass and all, but thinking of fillers is difficult as is and even a Taylor Swift song didn't help. lols

Chapter 6: If You Could See Me Now (part 1)

Do you know the feeling of having a rabid dog complete with no vaccination what so ever and no cages to hold it off sitting right beside you? Try imagining that with said beast only a few feet away from you inside a moving pickup truck with you riding shot gun and the dog apparently the one driving the vehicle below speed limit, it kinda reminded Fang that epic music video of Avril Lavigne where two girls kissed but unfortunately for her, no kissing was involve when it comes to sitting beside one Lightning Farron driving almost at a speed of Mac 1. Sure she wasn't particularly afraid that their speed at the moment but she was definitely afraid at the same time turned on, of the idea that her roommate can go beyond that speed. Call it her gut instincts and the fact that the pinkette was still relaxed at this kind of speed. Damn, now she's thinking about that stupidly awesome music video again.

"So, where are we headed?" Fang asked, trying for the umpteenth time to strike a conversation with the pinkette who only spared a glance at her direction before redirecting her gaze on the road in front of her.

"Palumpolum Hospital." Lightning said finally as she shifted the car out to the highway out of Bohdum without losing speed. Good thing Fang was wearing her seatbelt like Lightning told her to or damn it, she could've been bouncing inside the car with Lightning's driving.

"Damn, slowdown Sunshine! You're as bad as Vanille when it comes to driving!" Fang said as she massaged her right shoulder which bumped suddenly at the side of the door a little while ago.

"We don't have that kind of leisure, Fang. Jules is gonna kill me if we're not there by ten." Lightning said as she sped pass a ten wheeler truck while just nearly passed an incoming van that honk at them for driving in the wrong direction.

"Jules? Who's Jules?" Fang asked while gripping the side of her sit for safety. She just hoped that Lightning would get them there alive and in one piece because however bad ass a race car drifter Lightning might be, the raven haired guitarist didn't want to delve in the idea of drifting to her impenetrable doom and into bloody pieces.

"My godmother, the one I called mom over breakfast a while ago." Lightning said while passing another set of cars while ignoring their displeasured honking.

"She's your godmother? So then what about the other one? You called her mother and you said something during brea—" Before Fang could finish her sentence, Lightning steps on the breaks making Fang bite her tongue. Fortunately for them, the car behind them was a few meters away from their vehicle and was able to dodge them in time amidst its blaring horn.

"Tha fack Laghtning?! Wha's you're prable'? Gad, my tongue hur's like hell." Fang said while nursing her mouth, specifically her tongue however futile and stupid she must've look. Lightning on the other hand look at her with all the coldness in her eyes she can muster and said, "We are not finishing or speaking this conversation, do you understand?"

Noticing the hostility from Lightning's voice and eyes alone, Fang put up her hands up as a show of submission and nodded because she can't talk at the moment however confuse she might have been because of her last statement before biting her tongue. Lightning started driving again after a few seconds and a sigh later with a slower speed.

"Why don't you have a tv?" Fang asked the pinkette who glanced at her for a second before looking back to the road.

"I don't need one."

"Heh, you're weird you know that? Everyone needs some kind of entertainment other than a job and school related stuff." Fang said as she rested her chin on her hand, appearing bored out of her mind, "I don't know about you Light, but it gets boring there when you're left by yourself. No wonder you needed a roommate, our apartment is too damn deserted especially at night"

Then there was silence. Fang glance towards Lightning who has an icy and at the same time angry look, probably at Fang, but nonetheless directed her stare in front. The raven-head was about to talk and apologize, knowing fully well that she had crossed the line yet again but didn't know what cause it. She was contemplating on apologizing however Lightning's next words prevented her from doing so.

"Let me be clear on one thing, Fang. I don't need a damn tv. For all I care, you can get that for yourself with your money and you're paying the added electrical bills with it. Sure enough, I needed you to pay half the rent but that's just because I'm also paying for my tuition and my sister's. After I graduate, I don't care what you do with yourself anymore. And another thing is, I don't need anybody. Ever. I'm fine just myself for the time being." Lightning said as her grip on the steering wheel intensified just as her eyes dulled to murky emeralds.

"FYI, Lightbug, everyone needs a tv, no one in this day and age can live without one. And keywords to your second statement are 'for the time being' so you can bet your silly ass that somewhere deep inside that cold front of yours is your big mushy softy self, hiding from the rest of the world. Besides, it's too lonely to think that you're going to be alone for the rest of your life. You should be ashamed of yourself for telling yourself that, I mean, you said you have a sister right? And a godmother and how about your other mother? Are they even important to yo—" Fang said rolling her eyes because of Lightning's stubbornness just for buying a tv but was again stopped by Lightning's next words.

"Will you shut the hell up Fang? I don't have the fucking money to buy a fucking tv!" Lightning yelled at the raven haired, "Why do you think I needed you in the first place to be my roommate? If it were up to me I would've opted to live alone. But no, I fucking need you."

Fang blink a few times. This was the first time she witness Lightning threw a fit and sure enough she felt guilty for guilt-tripping her roommate just for a damn tv and on top of that she didn't even know the pinkette that well! She must've look like a jerk right now to her roommate. Heck, anyone would especially for mentioning her relatives that reminded her where they were going. Oh god no, if they were going to the hospital and with how Lightning is basically acting right now, it can't be that one of her loved ones were there right? That just made Fang even hate herself more from saying those things to her roommate.

"I'm a jerk." Fang said after a few minutes of pondering how she would apologize to Lightning. She scratched the side of her head, a nervous habit of hers.

"Yes you are." Lightning said right afterwards, not even looking at Fang, clearly still pissed.

"And I'm sorry for that. I was clearly being a selfish ass and all that. I wasn't thinking of your circumstances at all. Forgive me?" Fang said looking at Lightning, hoping that the pinkette would forgive her.

"It's fine. Just forget about it." Lightning said after about half an hour later wherein Fang spent it squirming in her sit and conjuring a lot of what if scenarios of Lightning really kicking her out in her head. Vanille would be totally pissed at her for sure if that ever happens again and for real this time.

Looking at the still tensed pinkette, Fang obviously knows that an apology is still not enough, especially if she just insulted her roommate of being insensitive towards her own relatives. It's just one fucked up mess after the other with Fang when it comes to dealing with Lightning and knowing that fact pisses Fang with herself more.

"Nah, it's not fine Sunshine, I just insulted you like it's nothing to me but that's not ok Light!"

"So what? The least thing you could do right now is shut up, for Christ sake." Lightning said after sighing out in frustration.

"Nope. That's not a good idea. Well, that and I'm really bored and silence is really isn't my thing." Fang said while shrugging and grinning at Lightning who was still visibly pissed at her but wasn't gripping the steering wheel that hard like a few minutes ago.

"Hmm, you have no idea."

"Did Lightning Farron just made a joke? Oh snap, I think the world is ending but as I said, I really feel guilty so what do you say we grab something later on in Nautilus? My treat of course." Fang said with a grin on her face.

"Pfft. I thought you don't have a job. How you can even have the nerve to offer something as that is beyond me. You should get a job first." Lightning said as they entered Nautilus.

"Oh trust me, Sunshine. I do have a job. I'm just waiting for them to call me when they expect me to be there." Fang said while burrowing herself more in the sit and putting her hands behind her head. Lightning furrowed her brows at the raven haired.

"And where is this job of yours exactly?"

"Well if you must know it's where you work at."

"You mean at NORA?"

"Yep."

"Hmph. Funny, I didn't hear anything about a new recruit and the first and last time I saw you there was just yesterday." Lightning said while glancing at the brunette beside her.

Fang was just about to answer but then stops midway and remembers that indeed she didn't get to talk to the manager of that establishment due to the ruckus they have made yesterday. Noticing Fang's sudden silence, Lightning chanced another glance at her before sighing.

"If you promise not to bother me at work or at school, I'll try to put in a good word for you." Fang's eyes instantly lit up and she was about to hug the pinkette but quickly stops herself due to another warning glare from her roommate. She settled for grinning at Lightning instead.

"Thanks Sunshine! I knew you have a soft spot for me." Fang exclaimed which earned her an exasperated sigh from the pinkette.

"No, I just hate dead weight who's only laying around all day doing nothing." Lightning said as they finally came through the entrance of Palumpolum City. Fang was staring out of the window like a little kid on a Christmas shopping spree, ignoring the fact that Lightning just insulted her.

"Hey, hey Light, is that the mall? Why is it so fuckin' huge? Can we go there after your visit?" Fang said as she bounced up and down her seat.

"No." Lightning said briskly as she turned the pickup truck to another street leading to the city's hospital.

"Why not? Are you going to be there all day?" Fang asked.

"No, maybe just an hour or so but that doesn't mean I want to waste my time gallivanting." Lightning said as she spotted the entrance to the hospital's parking lot.

"Well that's no fair considering that you don't have any right to decide on which ground rules to follow, Sunshine." Fang said with a mischievous smirk on her face. Lightning glance her way before turning the truck in the hospital's parking lot.

"And what makes you say that?"

"Well, duh. My truck means my rules." Fang said which Lightning scoffed off in reply.

"I remembered borrowing it from Vanille, not from you Fang. Or did you forget about that too?" Lightning said finally parking the truck on a vacant space just near the hospital entrance.

"Well, Vanille is my friend since our childhood days and whatever we own, we share. That also means, I also own this car." Fang said smugly as Lightning killed the engine of the truck then jumping out of it.

"Whatever, that doesn't mean I'm still going to the mall afterwards."

Fang was about to reply back when a blonde haired woman with steely grey eyes jumps out of nowhere and suddenly hugs Lightning out of all people. The raven-hair was about to lunge towards her roommate and save her from the mysterious woman when a familiar voice reaches her ears.

"Lightning! You made it! And just in time too, I was beginning to think I would have to come and call the local police again and drag you away from whatever it is keeping you busy." The woman said as she started to slightly sway the pinkette who normally would cringe at anyone who would so much as touch her.

"I'm already here mom, so stop your worrying and meet Fang." Lightning said as she taps lightly the woman's upper left shoulder. The woman let's go of Lightning and peered at the inside of the truck where Fang was still sitting, "Mom, meet Oerba Yun Fang. She just became my roommate, not my girlfriend, mind you. Fang, this is my godmother, Juliet Cooper."

"It's nice to meet you Mrs. Cooper." Fang reaches an open palm towards Jules takes it despite the smirk on her face.

"Please, call me Jules. Besides, I still don't have a ring on my left hand to indicate that I'm married and if I ever did. It would be probably something like Mrs Farron or Mrs Farron-Cooper." Jules said which Fang notice Lightning rolled her eyes over.

"Aww, that's so sweet of you." Fang said as she lets go of the blonde's hand before getting out of the vehicle, "Lightning's mom is a really lucky woman to have you."

Then there was silence that Fang couldn't understand. Was it something she said? She didn't know. Just that Lightning's abrupt cough and cold dismissal to go ahead broke it off. Then again Fang was reminded of Lightning's behaviour a few minutes prior to this conversation about her other mother and regretted mentioning her yet again.

"Oh fuck. I wasn't supposed to mention her mother. Dammit, I keep messing up!" Fang said as she vigorously ruffled her hair. Jules just gave her a sad smile.

"You're from Gran Pulse aren't you?" Fang nodded at the blonde woman who tilted her head towards the hospital.

"Come and join me for a cup of coffee, I want to get to know you better. Besides, Light needs her alone time with her mother anyways." Jules said as she started walking towards the hospital's canteen located just outside the hospital.

Fang swallows the accumulated saliva resting in her mouth for some time and shook her head a couple of times before following Jules who by now was a couple of feet away from her. Whatever this getting to know her roommate thing is, Fang just hopes that it wasn't one of moments like meeting your lover's parents kind of thing however it feels like it is to Fang.

AUTHOR'S NOTES (again): This here are what I'm telling you about. The bad news good news thingy.

Bad news

1) This Chapter is just half of the chapter and should've been posted way back in October when I halfed finished it but since I was still opting to finish it, I didn't.

2) Unfortunately the so called writer's block disease got to me and I don't know how to connect my ideas since I have tons of them but... As I said, can't seem to connect them.

3) I'm working on another fic, which is a glee fic and I'm finding the time to balance my sched on writing two fics and doing all crazy stuff college students do. So yeah, sorry guys for the delay. :3

Good news

1) And now for the good news, I'm already working on this other half's chapter amidst doing my other fic.

2) There will be more Flight scenes and hopefully a solution about that damn tv of theirs. :3

3) Lightning's not so secret talent about to revealed ;D

I know it isn't much, but shit at home happens, so I hope you guys will understand and forgive me about it. oh, and please review lots and lots! :3
