Experiment 421

"Help!" Bulma screamed, thrashing her feet while simultaneously beating her fists into the monkey man's back."Somebody please help me!" The old man that had been shooting at them earlier was now a tiny dot in the horizon, and there was no one else in the desert that could save her. Screaming seemed like the best option. If she was lucky, someone might hear her and come to her rescue.

The ground below blurred rapidly, like a treadmill's belt, as the man kept his legs moving at a steady pace. Amazingly, the man wasn't panting or gasping for breath. He was moving at an incredible speed, faster than any vehicle Bulma knew of, and acted as if he were taking a leisurely jog. This terrified Bulma more than anything. It wasn't natural.

"Slow down!" Bulma screamed, beating her fists into the back of the man's skull. His thick, pointed hair must've cushioned the blows. He acted as if he didn't feel a thing." You're going to kill us! Slow down! Ahh!" Bulma's long shirt fluttered in the wind as the man ran faster, showing her panties off for the world to see( If in fact there were other people in the desert with them)."You stupid monkey! I know you did that on purpose!"

The man responded by wrapping his long, brown tail around her mouth so she couldn't talk. Bulma lifted her hand, preparing to hit his head, but stopped as she noticed a thin line on the man's scalp, where hair didn't grow. It started from behind his right ear and circled around his head, ending at his widow's peak.

"He went through brain surgery," Bulma realised. It had to have happened years ago, since the man's entire head would've been shaved." Was he in an accident?" Using her finger, Bulma traced the thin line, the only part of his skin that actually felt clean and soft. Her face hardened.

"Come with me Experiment 421," The old man's voice echoed in her memory.

"No, he wasn't in an accident. This man was somebody's experiment. But why?" Bulma touched the tail around her mouth. The Earth was filled with different species. Talking animals and shapeshifters weren't uncommon, neither were the giant monsters that lived in the mountain region, but what was he? Bulma had never met something that resembled a human, had a monkey's tail, and possessed incredible strength. Except for Goku.

A cold chill ran down Experiment 421's spine as the female touched a sensitive part of his head. At the same time, warmth flooded his face and shot through his body like fire. Although he enjoyed seeing the female angry, he liked this softer side of her even more.

421 slowly unwrapped his tail from the female's mouth. She remained quiet and still. Did she understand that he was only protecting her from Dr. Gero? 421 licked behind the female's knees to let her know that he wasn't going to hurt her. She started squirming again.

"Disgusting freak!" She hissed, reaching back to slap his mouth.

421 rolled his eyes and roughly dropped the female in front of a small mountain of rocks. She grunted, then threw her hands in front of her face shouting," Gross! Get that thing out of my face!"

421 looked back at the rising sun. He couldn't see or smell Dr. Gero. The female would be safe here for a while.

"Where are you going? Don't leave me here!" Bulma pleaded as the naked monkey man continued running - without the burden of carrying her, hopping over the giant rocks with ease.

" I can't believe this. I've been dumped!"

Bulma winced as she walked on small pebbles and dirt with her bare feet. The mountain of rocks differentiated in size. Some were as tall as her, wide like a car, and some of the smaller ones were as big as Oolong.

"Climb the rocks now, or wait until the day is hot and miserable?" Bulma gulped, afraid of what might be hiding in the dark shadows beneath the rocks. She looked back in the direction of her dome house. Which she couldn't see."Should I just go back? I mean, I can't be that far away right?" Bulma bit her fingernails as she thought about what to do. What if the old man found her? Would he turn her into an experiment too or leave her alone? He obviously had no quarrels about killing her with the monkey man earlier.

A black scorpion skittering across one of the smaller rocks helped Bulma make her decision.

"Okay, walk barefoot in the desert it is then!" Bulma started back in the direction she had came, squinting her eyes against the suddenly bright sun.

In a matter of minutes 421 had cleared the desert and had found himself in the center of a village. He ignored the screaming women and the people that were pointing at his naked body. Tipping his head back, he caught the scent of cooking food and followed it to it's source.

He jumped through a bakery's window, shaking the broken glass from his body like a dog and eating handfuls of the bread on the shelves.

The baker's eyes bugged out of his face as he watched the naked man eat most of his bread.

Once the naked man ate everything in the bakery, except for three loaves of bread, he left through the front door, paying little attention to the glass crushing under his feet.

"Thanks for coming to Ian's Bakery," The baker stuttered, bowing.

The man growled, slamming the front door shut behind him with his tail.
