As the third task got closer the champions were called down to the Quidditch pitch for information on the third task. Harry's friends followed behind him hidden.

"Welcome Champions" proclaimed Bagman seeing them

"What do you see behind me" he asked

"A ruined Quidditch pitch" growled Cedric

"A maze" said Krum

"That is correct" proclaimed Bagman

"The third task will be a maze with the Triwizard Cup at the end of it" he explained

"You will be let into the maze based on your placement from the last two tasks" he continued

"Whoever touches the cup first, Wins" he shouted

"I take it there will be obstacles" asked Harry

"Of course," exclaimed Bagman

"You will have to face all manners of creatures and different spells and enhancements" he explained

"Any more questions" he asked

All the champions shook their head no and left. While on the way back, Harry felt a disturbance in the Force and went into the Forbidden Forest. He saw Crouch stumble out of the forest looking like he had just escaped capture.

Mana, Nodoka, Yue, and Haruna quickly formed a perimeter around them as Harry grabbed Crouch with the Force. He read Crouch's mind before snapping his neck and vanishing the body.

"What did you find out" asked Kaede

"He is basically the reason for everything that happened" said Harry

"How is that possible" asked Konoka

"At his wife's request he switched his son with her at Azkaban and kept him under the Imperious ever since" explained Harry

"He built up a resistance to it and eventually broke it didn't he" said Evangeline

"It happened at the Quidditch World Cup" said Harry

"Once they were back home, he tried to do it again only for it to happen to him" he explained

"How is he connected to the Triwizard Tournament" asked Chao

"He was one of the main backers of getting it back and setting it up" explained Harry

"Then one of him employee's, who knew everything about it, went missing" he explained

"That is how he found about everything" said Setsuna

"Correct" said Harry

"I bet the cup is going to be a portkey" he said

"He did all of this just to kidnap you" said Kaede in disbelief

"He must want to prove his superiority over you" said Evangeline

He signaled to Mana, Nodoka, Haruna, and Yue to break the perimeter and they all headed back to their room. Along the way back Gabrielle was shaking a little. Konoka put her arm around Gabrielle's shoulders and pulled her closer.

"Don't worry about it, you will get used to it soon enough" said Konoka

As the school was coming to an end, it finally time for the Third task. On that morning, everyone got up and met in their common room.

"Go pack everything up" said Evangeline

"We are leaving right after the Third task" she added

They all nodded their heads at that and went back up to their rooms and pack everything up. Once everyone was done, they came back down.

"Be prepared for anything" said Evangeline

Everyone nodded their heads as they left their common room.

Along the way, Konoka said "Stay close to me Gabrielle"

"I will" said Gabrielle

After breakfast was over, Evangeline came over to them.

"Let's go Harry" said Evangeline

"We are supposed to meet with your family" she said

"Who could that be" asked Nodoka

"Probably Moony and Padfoot" said Harry getting up

"Let's go Konoka, Setsuna, and Nodoka" he said

"Let's show them they are not needed" he said

The three girls nodded their heads as they got up.

"Let's go Gabrielle" said Konoka

"I sure that your family will be there" she said

"Ok" said Gabrielle getting up

"Don't get into trouble" said Evangeline leading them away

She led them into a chamber off to the side. Inside they saw Cedric's parents, Viktor's parents, and Fleur's parents. In the back they saw Sirius Black and Remus Lupin.

"Go on" said Konoka

Gabrielle nodded her head as she ran over to her parents.

The rest of them went over to Sirius and Remus.

"Harry" exclaimed Sirius

"Where were you" asked Harry

"What" asked Sirius confused

"Where were you after my parents were killed" asked Harry

"I ran after the one that betrayed your parents" explained Sirius

"I know I should have stayed with you, but I wasn't thinking clearly" he said sadly

"When I caught up to him, he framed me for it by shouting how I did before he faked his death" he finished

"How did you get your name cleared" asked Harry

"I escaped last year and was able to catch him and prove my innocence" said Sirius

"I bet Brian was behind that" thought Harry

"I forgive you then" said Harry

"Thank you" said Sirius smiling

"What is your excuse" asked Harry looking at Remus

"I'm a werewolf" said Remus

Harry waited a few moments for Remus to continue until he decided he wasn't.

"That's it" exclaimed Harry

"That is your only reason" he said

"You are only dangerous one night each month" he continued

"I'm sure you could have found someone to watch me each month" he finished

"The Ministry wouldn't have allowed me" said Remus

"Then move away" said Harry

"I can't forgive you" he said

"At least give him a chance" said Sirius

"No" said Harry shaking his head

"I have no need for someone who abandoned me for no good reason" he said

"It wasn't his fault" said Sirius

"Yes, it was" said Harry

"He made the conscious decision not to find a way to take care of me" he said

"Let's go" he said

"It's obvious you didn't come here for me" he said

"Go back to your master and tell him that you failed" said Evangeline

"What" growled Remus

"It's obvious that Brain sent you" said Evangeline

They all turned around and went to leave.

"Wait" shouted Sirius

Setsuna quickly drew her sword and pointing it at them.

"He wants nothing more to do with you spies" said Setsuna

Sirius and Remus quickly nodded their heads as Setsuna sheathed her sword and walked away. Gabrielle quickly gave Fleur and her parents a hug before running after them.

"You could have stayed with them you know" said Konoka when Gabrielle caught up

"I know" said Gabrielle

"But I had a feeling that something bad would happen if I did" she said

"You're learning" said Harry

As night fell, everyone went down to the Quidditch pitch for the Third Task. Harry and his friends were all ready to leave once the Third Task was over. They all separated and went to their positions. Harry joined the other champions in front of the maze. The hedges had grown very tall and were towering over them.

"Welcome to the Third Task" shouted Bagman

"The Triwizard Cup has been placed at the end of this maze and the first Champion to grab it will win" he exclaimed

"The Champions will enter based on the points they received in the two previous tasks" he said

"Our first will enter when the cannon blast goes off" he shouted

The cannon blast went off and Harry went into the maze. Once he was in, he let the Force guide him. After the cannon went off three more times, he contacted Mana.

"Can you see anything" said Harry

"No" said Mana

"The hedges are too tall to see anything even from up here" she said

"There aren't even any markings telling us where the champions are" she said

"I guess they didn't consider the audience when designing the last two tasks" said Harry

As he made his way though the maze, he noticed a distinct lack of challenging obstacles. The few enhancements he ran into were easy to get rid of. The one obstacle that could have been challenging was the boggart. But since it couldn't decide what he feared the most, it was easy to get rid of.

He was about to contact Mana again when he felt a disturbance in the Force and heard Fleur scream. He ran to her location only to run into a large shelled crab. He lifted it up and shot the underside of it, killing it, before throwing it away.

He arrived at Fleur's location and saw Krum cursing her. Feeling that he was under the Imperius curse, he stunned both before continuing.

"Is the imposter one of the teachers walking around the maze" asked Harry

"He is" said Mana

"Thought so" said Harry

"I haven't run into any challenging obstacles yet" he said

As he got near the end of the maze, he ran into his first real challenge, a Sphinx.

"You are near you goal" said the Sphinx

"The quickest path is behind me" it said

"Answer my riddle correctly and you may pass, answer wrong and I attack, or you can walk away" it said

"What is it" asked Harry

"What creature walks on 4 then 2 then 3" asked the Sphinx

"A human being" said Harry

"Correct" said Sphinx walking out of the way

Once Harry was gone, the Sphinx let out a sigh of relief.

Harry saw the cup at the end of a long passageway. He started running down it and felt Cedric getting close to it. He held Cedric in place with the Force until he saw him and stunned him. He then looked at the cup and felt it was a portkey.

"The cup is a portkey just as we thought, get ready" said Harry

"Focus your diary on Tom Marvolo Riddle, Nodoka" he said

"Done" said Nodoka

Harry grabbed the cup and disappeared in a swirl of magic.
