CHAPTER 11

ABSOLUTE DEFENSE

Fallen had an evil smirk on his face as he got back up to his feet, as Kirito and the others shockingly looked at Fallen pick himself up.

I hit him with everything I had. Even my OSS Dark Repulser. He should have vanished after that attack. How is his HP not zero yet? Kirito was lost in thought and for an instance, unknowingly even felt like he was respecting this person's endurance, even though Kirito was aching to see Fallen suffer and die.

Fallen turned away from Kirito and looked at Lyfa. "You, green fairy with the long blonde hair, I order you to heal me, right away." Lyfa was taken aback by what he just said. He is ordering me to heal him. How far will this guy go? Lyfa had had enough with his antics. Showing up in this tournament and then doing all these horrible things to Asuna, taunting Kirito and now ordering her to heal him. Lyfa snapped, drew her sword and burst forward with speed towards Fallen to land the final blow and finish him off, once and for all.

As Lyfa went forward and hit Fallen with her strongest fire-style sword strike, the area was filled with smoke emanating as a result of her sword skill. Lyfa, panting for breath, was hoping that Fallen would be done for, but deep down she was afraid it wasn't enough. The smoke started clearing and there was a big burgundy colored shield in front of Fallen which seemed to have protected Fallen from Lyfa's attack.

"Is that-" Klein turned to look at Agil's shocked face. "Yes, Klein. That's Heathcliff's kite shield, the Liberator. But how do dhe get it? Who is this guy after-"

"I will tell you once again, heal me now or face the consequences." Fallen looked increasingly calm as he spoke to Lyfa.

"The hell with healing you. I'd rather die than heal you"

"You should be careful what you wish for. If that is what you wish for, then let me grant you your wish anyway."

Before Lyfa could react to what Fallen had just said, he hit her with his shield and unleashed his own 14-hit combo OSS, the Blood repulser, which was a copy of Kirito's OSS but instead of using two swords for simultaneously attacking the opponent, he used his sword and his shield. With the final blow, Lyfa's HP was very close to hitting zero when he snatched Lyfa's sword from her and stabbed her through her chest all the way to her back. Lyfa screamed in pain as blood dripped from her wounds and disintegrated into a million pixels.

"Now, if someone would be so kind to heal me. Otherwise, I'll change the pain absorption levels to such an extent this girl will be crippled in the real world too." Fallen twisted the sword he had thrust into Lyfa's body as she screamed in pain.

Stop it. Stop it. I can't take this anymore. Why is all this happening. Someone make this end. Please. Kirito had completely lost himself on seeing Fallen torture Lyfa in front of his eyes, as he stood there, unable to move, out of fear. The burden of not being able to protect Asuna coupled with the guilt of murdering those red players from Laughing Coffin back in old SAO and now having to witness Lyfa being tortured, was killing Kirito on the inside. The only other time he felt this helpless and powerless was when he saw Sachi get killed in that hidden room back in old SAO.

In a very faint voice Kirito, with tears rolling down his cheeks, turned to Sinon "Sinon-san, do as he says, please heal him."

Fallen burst out in laughter on hearing what Kirito had just said. "Have I broken you now, dear blackie-sensei? That's not what I wish for. I'm like the old SAO, I'll be fair to you. Once someone heals me, I will free both Lightning flash and this blonde fair from all their suffering. Deal? "

Kirito was lost in thought and didn't know to what to say as Sinon proceeded to heal him. As he was getting healed, Fallen lifted Lyfa and carried her to where Asuna was lying and lay Lyfa down right beside Asuna. With a wicked smile on his face, Fallen turned to Kirito once again. "Is this what happens to all the girls who fall in love with you? Do they all become weak, miserable and die?"

Kirito was irate at what Fallen had just called Asuna and Lyfa, but didn't make a move as he wanted Lyfa and Asuna to be lifted from the suffering Fallen had put them through. "Just keep your end of the deal and let them go."

Asuna and Lyfa, both felt ashamed of their lack of power in this moment of time and refused to speak while enduring the pain Fallen had put them through.

Fallen turned to Asuna this time and decided to play mind games with her. "Oh Lightning Flash, look at you now, so weak and pathetic. Just like that small whiny lil'girl, Absolute Sword Yuki. This is the same expression she had on her face when I put her down a long time ago. I wonder what she would think of you knowing that you couldn't beat me even with that OSS she gave you. Did you know I got the infamous title of Absolute Defense after my fight with her? Absolute defense because that punk could not land a single scratch on me during our fight. Of course, no one really knows about this fight apart from her guild members and me. Well, I guess all those people are long dead by now anyway, so just me huh? " Fallen started laughing hysterically as Asuna was fuming with range after hearing Fallen insult her best friend Yuki.

"Kirito-kun, please make him pay for all this. Make him suffer, Kirito." Asuna had lost her usual cool and gentle nature and was filled with hatred. The only thing in her mind now was to see Fallen suffer.

As Fallen's HP bar filled back to 100%, Fallen opened the admin command panel and paralyzed everyone except Kirito, Asuna and Lyfa.

"Time to free you of your sufferings, ladies. A deal is a deal right?" Fallen looked at Asuna and Lyfa with an expression of blood lust on his face.

Fallen Lifted his shield and brutally crushed Lyfa and Asuna with it before using his sword to completely decapitate their heads.

"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" Kirito screamed in pain, anger and sorrow as he saw Asuna and Lyfa's heads roll away from their bodies and starting to disintegrate into their pixels.

"You remember how Sachi died in front of your eyes? Well let me remind you of that pleasant memory shall I?" Fallen stamped on Lyfa's head as it vanished into a million pixels.

"Ki-ri-to..." A weak and feeble voice came out from Asuna's decapitated head and before she could finish, Fallen kicked Asuna's head with his foot as it burst into a million pixels and disappeared.

"So is that enough for you to snap and be the real Black Swordsmen, the one in old SAO who everyone feared? Come at me with everything you got Blackie-"

Kirito sprung forward with a violent and blood thirsty expression on his face. The image of Asuna's decapitated head being kicked out of existence was fuelling his rage into annihilating Fallen.

"YOU BASTARD! YOU ARE GOING TO PAY FOR THIS!"
