( PattiXCrona, no hate please, I really love this ship. Any requests for fanfics, send me them in comments. )

Patti skipped down the hallway of the DWMA, singing. She was always happy. In a contrasting world, only a few short meters away, was a darker, gloomier presence. Crona. His pink fringe fell over his eyes hiding his tears. Just a few days earlier, he had admitted to Black Star that he was desperately in love with Patti. He didn't mean to tell Black Star. Star had walked in on him spinning around reciting a poem he had written about her. Star had laughed but had told Crona not to worry. Crona had written poem after poem about his endless love for Patti. He couldn't help it. She was amazing.

Patti caught sight of Crona and saw his tears. Her smile faded and she ran over.

"Cronaaa! Cronaaaaaa!" she sang, grabbing him by the hands and spinning him around. Crona looked up at her.

"W-What?"

"GUESS WHO ASKED OUT WHO?!" she trilled. He blinked. Someone had asked her out. He didn't want to hear it. He spotted Black Star nearby and gave him a 'help me' look. Star ran over and pulled Crona away by the shoulders and grinned at Patti.

"Nobody cares Patti, everyone's too busy looking at how AMAZING I AM!" Black Star, So darn annoying. Was it his fault?

Crona stared at the ground letting tears fall. He loved her and now she was with another.

Patti smiled at Black Star "Shut up Black Star, I think it's ADORABLE! Death The Kid and that Alice girl, the new student! She's Eva's weapon! Eva Stein? Well, Kid and Alice KIIIIIIISSED! IT WAS SO CUTE!"

Crona looked up. He gazed at Patti through his tears. He blinked. She looked at him and he already pink cheeks went red.

"Crona? Is something the matter?" she was staring at him. Black Star slapped Crona on the back and grinned at him loudly wishing him luck. Patti watched him walk away and then snapped her stare back towards Crona. Crona blinked, looking shiftily from Patti to the floor. She smiled.

"Tell me what's wrong, Crona." she giggled

On a spur of the moment, he grabbed her by the waist and pulled her towards him. He held her close and murmured in her ear:

"Me, a depressed black raven,

You, a happy bright ray of sunlight,

Maybe we'll find haven,

Maybe it's right,

Me, so unhappy,

And you, so very opposite,

Maybe..." he trailed off and pulled back. This was wrong. He couldn't tell her. What was he doing?

She leaned in close to him and smiled. "Maybe we'll bring out the best in each other." she recited. How? How had she known?! How did she know his poem?

He gaped at her. He trembled. She closed her eyes and giggled.

"You dropped a piece of paper the other day!" she pulled a piece of paper from her pocket, it was folded. She unfolded it. He had covered it with embarrassing doodles of love-hearts with Patti's name inside. Crona blushed, not looking at the paper. He couldn't. Patti smiled at him.

"I was gonna give it back, then I saw my name on it...I read it...I memorized it..."

He looked up at her, her perfect smile radiant.

"I love you, Crona. And I know you love me, too."

He looked at her. He nodded, his eyes stinging.

She smiled and took his hand and together they walked away, the sun pouring through the windows.

It was going to be a good day.
