"Do not raise your tone at me, young one! You are still a primordial child! I've been around for millions of years, experiencing things you couldn't even begin to imagine. You do not get to tell me what I should do! I am Aphrodite, the GODDESS of Love! I am nobody else but Aphrodite! The other guy does not wish to fight anymore!" She screamed!

"But you must reveal yourself. You've fought Tartarus before. You are one of the original five beings - and the purest of them! Gaia is tainted by the darkness that is Tartarus. Erebus is practically Tartarus' twin, and Nyx? She's the husband of Tartarus. But you! You have unfathomable power beyond the Olympians wildest dreams, because of the pureness that you represent. And yet you wish to downgrade yourself to the Olympian superslut Aphrodite, mating with the useless god of War." Percy ended his angry rant to take a breath and looked at Aphrodite - he could clearly see the shock printed on her face. He softened his voice: "But I see, you haven't forgotten who you truly are. After all you've named one of your bastard children after yourself."

"I see you forget your place, nephew. Yes, I am one of the original five, shaped out of the very womb of the universe. I was old when there was no planet Earth. I was ancient beyond comprehension when the dinosaurs inhabited the Earth. And yet, here you are, a mere toddler in comparison, telling me what I should do! Behold the unfathomable power of Eros!". She held both her hands out and almost like she was holding a wand, she pointed at Percy before flicking her hand. A pink source of light came from her finger and raced straight for the 25 feet tall being.

When it hit Percy, he went directly into the walls and out through them and continued until almost half of Olympus was destroyed. Aphrodite looked her manicured fingers and shrieked out of terror, "You destroyed my manicure. I just had my nails done! Arghh!". And then she snapped her fingers - Olympus went back to its glory and she vanished from the heavenly city with one last sentence: "I am Aphrodite!".

To say the least, even before Percy had been blasted by the Goddess of Love, he had had an eventful day. His two best friends, Nico and Thalia, had been discovered by the goddess of the Hunt, the one he had loathed for the last milennium. Then he had to reveal himself to people he didn't like very much. Then the Louvre had been blown up by his uncles idiotic minions. And then the mist failed. The very veil that had kept the godly world from the human world for millennia had just up and failed. And now they might even have to destroy humankind, if uncle dearest managed to manipulate humanity.

Percy hated that it was a possibility. He recognized the fact, that the gods didn't ever change. They wouldn't ever change. Even immortals wouldn't ever change. But humans on the other hand, they had the insight that the gods lacked. They always sought to evolve themselves, through better or worse. But in the end, Tartarus musn't grab ahold of the world, and the humans would be very instrumental for whichever party they joined. There were more than 7 billion humans.

And now he had just been blasted by his 'nicest' uncle. And to top it off - for the first time in centuries, he found himself in a dream. He could have sworn that the fates were out to get him, though they had no power over him, those old hag cousins of his just loved to put obstacles in the way.

He was looking in a mirror. But the guy in the mirror didn't even look like him. Instead of having human skin, his skin was almost skalelike, black all over. Almost like a dragons skin, he thought to himself. And instead of a nose, he had small slits almost like a snake. His eyes were an amazing golden color, and almost reptilian. He admired himself in the mirror, when suddenly the door behind him opened. Through the door went a beautiful girl, he esteemed her age to be about 18-19 years old, with beautiful blonde curls cascading down her body. It reminded him of the fairytale about Rapunzel. Unlike him, she looked human.

"What are you doing, love?" she called out to him, while walking towards him. Without even thinking he replied, "Embracing the form in which we were created. It's the form in which we are most powerful, you know that. I dread the day, we have to use our original forms."

And suddenly he was looking at himself again. The jetblack hair, the same toned human skin, he'd always had. He turned away from the mirror and embraced the unknown girl in a hug and then kissed her on the mouth. "Mmh." She sighed in pleasure, before growing serious, "You know it's our duty. As Ancients, it's our duty to protect our people and our universe from whatever danger, that might exist."

"You're right my sweet Eternity. But still I dread the day. I fear that day will end the cycle." He replied mournfully. She took his hand and caressed it carefully. "As long as we're together, nothing can happen to us. Now, hurry up. I don't wanna be late at the founders ball. You know how seriously the others are about this." He took one last look in the mirror, before deciding, that he was good to go. He laced his fingers with his love, and led her out of the house. When he opened the door, he was surprised by the enormity of the world. People as huge as skyscrapers, cars the size of mountains, and houses the size of planets was what met his eyes.

Suddenly the world was shaking, and he heard people turning towards him, yelling "Percy, Percy, Percy" in synchronization with fire in their eyes, almost like a lynch mob.

Nico and Thalia suddenly found themselves in Paris. More specific, they found themselves in a huge hole in the ground, where the Louvre museum used to be just minutes ago. Just ahead of them they found a tunnel. Thalia had never liked being underground, and she liked tunnels even less, but she knew, that Nico was a son of Hades, and that he had exceptionally good bearings underground. He was also a lot older than her, so she trusted his judgment fully, and let him lead the way.

It was pitch black in the tunnel, Nico grabbed Thalia's hand and started running, "I can see light just ahead". Thalia couldn't see anything at all, but she kept up with him anyway. Finally she could see the faintest light, until they finally found themselves in a huge quadratic room with all kinds of treasures, scrolls and paintings by famous painters, writers, philosophers and thinkers.

Nico went to some armors and weaponry, before he gasped in astonishment, and grabbed a sword and inspected it carefully. "I never thought I would see it again. It's the sword my commander in the Order of the Knights Templar used."

"That's all fine and dandy, death breath, but we have some monsters to find, so we can kick their ass for stealing a super-important scroll." Thalia scolded.

"And for blowing up the Louvre" Nico added. "Whatever, that too." She responded.

Not within long they found themselves at the Arc de Triomphe, where they had been led to by a trail of blood. Apparently on their way to the Arc de Triomphe the monsters had decided to grab some snacks, and unfortunately the only snacks, the monsters could find, had been human. Apart from the blood, they had stumbled upon the occasionally missing arm and leg from a human being.

But the trail stopped abruptly at the Arc de Triomphe. They began searching it for eventual clues, until eventually Nico called out, "Hey thunder pants, look here". She quickly got to his side. "I think I found a secret entrance", he said, "and I don't think you'll like where it's heading".

Her eyes swelled up to the size of teacups, "You don't mean..?" He nodded mournfully. "The pit. Seems like we got a one way ticket to hell." "That's not what frightens me", she said, "I am more worried about the entrance being placed just underneath the Arc de Triomphe."

Just outside of the White House, a group of three people were standing. One of them was woman dressed like a business woman, with her hair in a bun on top of her head. The other two were men, and while they were related, they didn't look like one another. The youngest of the men was dressed like a mailman, while the older one was dressed in a luxurious and well fitting suit, that gave him a very commanding aura.

The man in the suit and the business woman looked expectantly at the mailman.

"Oh, sorry, I knew I forgot something." He snapped his fingers, and the gate opened up. "There you go, lady and gentleman." Witin minutes they were being swarmed by men in black suits wearing ear pieces. Again, the mailman snapped his fingers, and the lot of government agents were sleeping soundly on the ground. Looking irritated the man in the suit began striding up towards the front door with an air of confidence, while the woman followed trustfully after like a dog.

Once inside, the mailman snapped his fingers, causing goverment agents to fall asleep, went directly to the receptionist, who looked very startled, all the while humming Postman Pat's song.

"I have a package for the president. I have to deliver it personally" he said, pointing at the man in the suit and the woman. "Oh who am I kidding? Athena knows the way anyway don't you?" he asked and snapped his finger, making the receptionist fall asleep.

"Oh quit all your stupid games. Hermes. This is serious. Lead the way, daughter." Zeus said, and Athena nodded. Within minutes and after another handful of security all knocked out cold, they strided into the room in which the president and his advisers all were.

"What in the hell is that? And how the hell did it come there?!". The President was visibly enraged, and his advisers were struggling to tell him anything, because they didn't know anymore than he did, when suddenly three figures entered the room.

A man in an elegant suit, a businesswoman and a mailman entered the room confidently, like they ruled the world. The man in the suit thundered, "If you want answers, I suggest you listen carefully."

"And who in hell might you be? How did you even get here?!" The Secretary of Defense yelled, to which the mailman responded, "I got us in here. All of your guards are knocked out for the next couple of hours. Now SIT and lets talk business." And almost as if it was magic everybody in the room realized the mans seriousity and took a seat.

"Now when we are all seated, I think it's about time you tell me and my advisers, why you are here, who you are, and what the hell that thing hovering above the Empire State Building is? And what do you want from us?" the President said as calmly as he possibly could.

"Well it's quite simple really. That 'thing' is the ancient mount Olympus. The home of the Olympian Greek gods." The man in the suit said with a serious mine on his face.

"Mount Olympus? Greek gods?" the President murmured, "You mean to tell me - nah, us, that the thing is the mount Olympus, on which the Greek gods, who don't exist by the way, reside."

"Oh yes. It's quite real. You better believe it before one of them strikes you down." The man in the suit replied.

"You're lying. You're just a lunatic, who had the means to waltz in here, and now you're trying to blackmail us! Gods are not real, they don't exist." The secretary of Defense protested.

Thunder was heard outside the building and the three people had suddenly changed into greek togas. The man who had been in the suit said, "Is that so? Because I can promise you we are quite real. We are Olympians!" He thundered and the otherwise sunshiney day became dark and filled with thunder.

When he opened his eyes, Percy came face to face with a heartwarming and concerned face. It was Hestia, the Goddess of the Hearth.

Well, that was chapter 10. I hope you like it. It's been a while since I last wrote a chapter in this story, so I hope it's a good update.

I am sorry for the long wait, but I am also quite surprised how well people have received this story. I never hoped for so many followers and favorites. I thank your from the very bottom of my heart.

By now it should be quite obvious who Aphrodite's other half is.

I have a quite clear idea where I want to take this story, so one way or the other, I am gonna finish this.

Please review, I love it when you guys do that.
