AN- So here is a little short chapter as I want to get you guys a little bit of an update, but don't have anymore energy to keep my eyes open. Hope you enjoy.

Daryl opened his eyes to see Victoria laying in his arms a soft smile on her face as she slept. He didn't move as to not wake her. He was afraid that she would regret this moment when she opened her eyes. After so long he had waited to hold her this way he couldn't help but feel he had pushed her into this. They had always talked about being married before they slept together. Sure the world was different now it wasn't so black and white anymore. No one could simply just marry anymore and expect a happily ever after, but that was what he had always wanted for her. He wasn't some prince that could get her everything she deserved, but no matter how much he tried to push her towards a man that would she seemed to resent him.

He knew now he should have held on to her, perhaps he had been wrong. If he had just stuck around maybe they never would have been rich but he would have never laid a hand on her. He would have never forced her to do anything she hadn't wanted to do.

He felt sick thinking of what her own husband did to her and then those men she traveled with before he had found her in that store. This was all his fault, she was hurt and it was because of him, because he pushed her away time and time again. He remembered when her sister found him shortly before the dead began to walk, she begged him to come back she pleaded with him, but he ignored her. He had Merle then and Merle always was a bad influence on him, he convinced himself she was happy. After all she had married some rich man who wouldn't have been happy? He had treated Vicky's sister horribly that day and even to this day regretted it.

Around Rachel and Victoria he had always been the best version of himself, he knew that. He had never allowed either of the two to see the real him, the one that was exactly like Merle, until that day. Rachel had seen him when he was drunk; Rachel had seen him when he supported Merle's advances on her. He hadn't wanted to, but he needed the girl to see that he wasn't coming back, that he was no good. He was white trash and that was what he always would be. Thinking back to it he had to try so hard to seem that way, when in truth it was far easier to be the man he was when he was with the girls. Back then everything came easy. Maybe just maybe who he had been with Rachel and Victoria was his true self and maybe it only took the end of the world and this group of people to teach him that.

"Hey you." She said sleepily.

Looking at her smiling up at him he wasn't sure if he could possibly love her anymore. He wanted every morning to wake up like this with her beside him. Seeing her smile ever day and know it was just for him. "Hey, Princess."

"Where are you going?" she asked noticing he had already started to get dressed.

"Just to see what Rick and the others go on the supply run, to see if I need to go out and try and find some meat." He told her.

"You can't go out there." She told him, "Not with your side like that."

Daryl glanced down it must of bled only a little in the night for the only signs of injury was a small amount of dried blood, "If I could handle last night, then a simple hunting trip will be nothing."

"Daryl-"

"I'll be fine." He told her, "I promise you."

Victoria stood up with the blanket wrapped around her, "I'll hold you to that promise." She said softly. Then she frowned, "After we walk out of here, are you going to leave again."

"I already told you I have to go out on a run." He told her, "But I'll be back."

"No not like that." She bit her lip, "I-" she stopped, "After you have time to think are you just going to say I need to find someone else?"

Daryl walked over and took his pointer finger carefully hooking it under her chin to slowly raise her eyes to his. "I ain't ever leavin' you again." He kissed her then broke away resting his forehead on hers, "Ain't ever leavin' you again, you make to many poor choices." He joked.

"So you're leaving?" Victoria asked, "Why?" she didn't want him to go. She still had nightmares in the middle of the night, and just waking up knowing he was near she could fall back asleep, how was she to feel safe without him?

"Thought you'd be happy." He muttered.

"I'm just surprised." She said slowly, "I just thought-"

"That's I'd be 'round forever?" he asked, "This was only to make some money while my brudder did time, now he's out."

"Does Rachel know?" she asked.

"Yes I know." Rachel said as she walked over to the two her baby on her hip. "Daryl you know you are welcome here any time."

He nodded his head, but didn't say anything for a moment, "My brudder needs me, gets into trouble easily."

"Sounds like someone we both know." Rachel glanced at Victoria who glared back at her.

"Different kind of trouble." Daryl muttered, but didn't explain how Merle was the type of guy Daryl defended Victoria against. Merle wasn't the type of man he wanted either of the two girls knowing that he supported and he most certainly never wanted Merle knowing about them. His older brother would use it against him, would use the girls against him. Merle would some how find a way to wrong them and probably convince Daryl to do the same. He wasn't sure why or how, but his older brother always seemed to convince Daryl to do things he never wanted to do, but did anyways just because his brother said to.

"Travel safe." Rachel smiled at him, "and please just remember you always have a home here."

Daryl gave her a little smirk and got in his old truck and nodded his head to them as he backed out of the drive way. For a moment his eyes locked on Victoria's and he felt his heart drop, wondering why he felt that it was so hard to leave. He cared for Rachel as well, but seeing the look in Victoria's eyes that he couldn't explain made him feel a pain in his heart, a pain he wasn't even sure what it was. He shook it off and moved his truck into drive and he pulled away from the house, and away from the life that he had pretended to be part of for a time. This wasn't him; this place wasn't him he was going back to where he belonged with his brother. He knew he didn't deserve to live among these people he just wasn't like them.

Chris frowned as he watched Daryl and Victoria walking out of the crow's nest. His blood boiling knowing what had happened. How could she allow that dirty white trash to touch her, but seemed to push away form him any time they got close. How dare she cheat on him with that man. He didn't like being wronged and those two had done it. In the past he would have paid someone to do away with Daryl and punish Victoria, but times were different now, he knew he couldn't do away with Daryl he physically couldn't over power the man, after all he had body guards and paid hands to do his dirty work. He wasn't an idiot to think he could take on Daryl, but he knew he could easily over power Victoria.

He knew the story of the girl well. Chris had known her husband before everything turned to shit. He remembered seeing her picture and remembered the stories he had shared. He had been so jealous back then, he had always wanted Victoria just form seeing pictures, he hadn't ever seen her in person, only fantasized over her. Then he had seen her in this place, a little bit more worn and dirty then the pictures he had seen a few years ago, but it was her, he knew it. Some how he had found a way to get her to go for him, he had found a way to get her to allow him to call her, his, but now she was falling away, now she was turning to that hick. He wouldn't allow that, he would get one good ride out of her before this was all said and done.

He clenched his fist as he worked out a plan in his mind. He would wait until Daryl went out on a run, after all he left often, then he would find Victoria act like the kind fake self that he was when he was with her, then once he got her alone he would strike, there were plenty places in this prison to take her and use her the way he had always dreamed of.

He knew Daryl would come after him though, he knew that much about the man to know he would come for Victoria. He had only one hope and that was to find the governor, or maybe just take Victoria from this place and meet up with the other man that hated Daryl as much as he did. Maybe the Governor didn't hate just Daryl, but he hated everyone in Daryl's group so he would be more then happy to take out the white trash.

He smiled as he watched Victoria kiss Daryl as he loaded his cross bow up in a car. He watched as Daryl left the prison and waited until he couldn't see the car anymore before he let out a smile.

Victoria was alone now with no one to watch over her. His acting game was over he didn't have to pretend he was someone else anymore. That girl had wronged him he had been nothing but kind to her all this time, not pushing and making her do anything she didn't want to do. He was there for her and in return she had run to the dirties most unworthy man here. She truly was the whore her husband always said she was.

"Victoria." He said allowing his acting to take hold again, "There you are, I haven't been able to find you since yesterday, I was worried."

He saw the look that crossed her face a look that sickened him as she spoke, "I'm sorry I just-" she paused, "Listen Chris we need to talk."

"I'm sorry about yesterday, if I pushed to far I didn't mean to." He hated sucking up to her, after everything she had gone off and did last night there was nothing for him to apologize for. She was nothing, all her acting of hating men's touch of reacting by pulling away was an act, and she truly was a tease.

"It's not that." She paused, "Maybe we should go some where private." She bit her lip, "And talk."

"I love that idea." He said keeping the kind expression on his face. He loved the fact this was her idea to go some where alone, just the two of them, she was setting herself up for this she was setting herself up to be used by him. He smiled, as he knew this was what she truly wanted, she wanted him, she wanted to be alone with him.
