― The Great Big Blue Sky ―

(What Others Don't Know)

Normal PoV

Sawada Tsunayoshi sighed tiredly as he walked through the halls of the high school. Today, like many other before in his 'pathetic excuse of a life' as some people liked to say, he had woke up late since the previous night he had been helping his mother with some of her work in order to allow her to finish earlier and have more hours to sleep, and Tsuna ended up going to sleep almost at two in the morning,

Back to the topic, since he had gone to sleep late, he had slept in too, and arrived late to school, only for his math teacher, Nezu-sensei, to humiliate him in front of the entire class and belittle him. Not that this bothered Tsuna, he had long ago gotten used to this treatment and for the most part, learned to ignore it. He knew all those hurtful words people threw at him weren't real, weren't true. Besides he had his best friend, and as long as he thought the world of Tsuna, the little brunette was okay with the rest of the world hating him. But of course, being as tired as he was he snooze out and ended up being punished, much to his dismay and the laughter of the rest of the classroom, with the exception of a selected few.

Gokudera Hayato was the delinquent of the school, often found creating problem or smoking in the back of the school, but no one dared to do anything to him because not only his family was rumored to be involved with the mafia and such, but he also had the highest grades in his year. He was practically untouchable.

Yamamoto Takeshi was another of the heartthrobs of the school. He was also the star of the baseball team, and everyone adored him. He was very much... Smiles and laughter, although Tsuna wondered how he was able to put up with so much fakeness. Not only from the people around him but from himself. Tsuna had never seen the boy smile genuinely. And he also wondered just how in the world Yamamoto-san hadn't yet been kicked out of the baseball team, his grades were atrocious, almost to the same level Tsuna was, and that was something.

Sasagawa Kyoko was the angel of the school. She was very kind and cheerful, but also a massive airhead. Tsuna didn't mind her much. Yes, she was cute. Yes, she was very kind towards everyone, even him. Yes, Tsuna once had a massive crush on her. No, not anymore. Did Tsuna hated the fact that she was totally oblivious and a massive airhead? Heck, yes. Enough said.

Kurokawa Hana was Sasagawa-chan's best, and one could say also only, friend. The girl was crazy smart, only second after Gokudera-san, but the boy had to be a genius, and horribly protective of her best friend almost to the level that some people thought she was a lesbian. Tsuna included. She also seemed to have a phobia for men, something that helped reinforce the theory of her being lesbian, and often called them 'brainless monkeys.' Yes, Tsuna was very much offended.

But why go as far as to explain who this people were?

Simple, they were the only persons Tsuna had ever seen not laughing at him when the rest of the world minus his best friends, his mother included, seemed to be dead set on humiliating him and making his life as hard as possible. Well, the last part might not apply to his best friend, but Tsuna was sure he had a good reason.

Anyways, Nezu-sensei seemed to have a 'How to make the Tuna miserable' radar, and spotted him sleeping during his class, that didn't end well for lack of better words. Deciding he wanted to make him suffer he gave him lunch detention and once it was time to get on with his punishment he had ordered Tsuna to make errands and carry things from one place to another all over the school.

So here he was...

Tsuna was currently passing in front of his science classroom once again, when he heard a couple of girls talking in hushed voices. Now, that wouldn't had usually taken his attention, they were probably just gossiping about one thing or another, or god forbid, boys. He hated hearing them squeal and sigh about them. But none the less, this conversation in particular caught his attention.

"Hey, did you read Blue Sky's new story? It's so great!" Tsuna's ears perked at the comment and he tried listen as discreetly as possible. He knew it was wrong to eavesdrop other people conversation but he couldn't help himself. He also knew what kind of fate awaited for him if he was discovered so he tried to look as uninterested and nonchalant and he could.

"I KNOW!" Another girl squealed in a high pitch tone making Tsuna wince, and grimace inwardly. "The two main character's interactions were just SO cute! And they felt so real too! It was almost as if it was a conversation from two real people and not created ones." She gushed, and Tsuna could almost imagine her wiggling her body like those girls in animes.

"And don't forget the hilarity of it all! I don't know how he does it but Aozora-chan can be so funny even when the mood is serious and it doesn't feel awkward at all!" The first girl piped excitedly making Tsuna smile softly with a small blush dusting his cheeks at hearing how the complimented Aozora and his work.

It was always that way, and Tsuna was just so happy people loved Blue Sky so much. His work.

"But you know..." Another voice joined the conversation making Tsuna almost flinch. He hadn't noticed the third person at all! Not to mention he couldn't recognize that voice.

'A new student, perhaps?' He thought curiously, but not curious enough to make himself known and let the girls jeer and in spat at him.

"Aozora-san's stories would be so much better if there were some romance in them." The third person said shyly, and Tsuna could almost picture a girl shuffling on her feet nervously as she peeked shyly from behind her bangs. That was before the words of the girl hit him, shocking him immediately.

"Romance, huh?" Tsuna thought out loud, a sinking feeling on his stomach as he continued to listen to the girl with a gloomy aura surrounding him.

"I-I mean, I like how the two characters spent a lot of time together, but Aozora-san never portrays them as nothing more than really good friends. I wish Aozora-san would make a deeper relationship between the two..." The girl trailed making Tsuna choke on his saliva. A deeper relationship!? But the main characters were two boys! As in no girl in the equation! T-That...! That would make his novels-!

"YAOI!" Shrieked the other two girls startling not only Tsuna but also the third girl, both of them blushing a bright cherry color.

Tsuna immediately left after that, not wanting to hear anything else the girls might still want to say, and once he was far enough he stopped for a moment to think about what he had just heard from his female classmates. He sunk to a deeper and gloomier aura, I that was even possible when he thought about how the girls had more or less agree that his stories were lacking in the romance department. Tsuna had been an idiot, he should had never eavesdropped in those girls.

With one last sigh, he started to walk again and reluctantly returned to his errands, the gloomy aura still stuck to him. He needed to get that done before lunch was over.

Dame-Tsuna.

That had been Sawada Tsunayoshi's nickname. What everyone deemed to be his name. He was disliked by almost everyone in his class, probably even the school. Tsuna didn't get why they did any of those actions. Tsuna wasn't bad, nor mean as a matter of fact. People tended to say he was pretty, and tease him for his feminine looks, that were totally not his fault. He was just a normal student.

Okay, maybe a little too shy and a bit cowardly for his own good, but normal nonetheless.

And Tsuna wasn't exactly that stupid, as a matter of fact he was quite smart. Of course, he wasn't the smartest of his class even if he actually did try getting good grades. He did know about some stuff and he was a fast learner as long as someone, mostly his best friend, taught him well. The brunette also could write and speak in any language well enough to get by, but that was a secret.

Another thing that was also a secret was that little 'Dame-Tsuna' was in the fact the most popular cellphone novelist "Blue Sky" aka Aozora. He would usually write stuff about friendship and family because pray and tell how in the world could someone like himself even possess the knowledge of love or something like that?

Anyway, Tsuna had often wondered what it would be like to fall in love, and not simply fall under the illusion of a crush. He was already in his first year of high school at age of 16, and yet, he had only even had a single crush in his life. Wouldn't that be... abnormal? Wasn't he supposed to be in the age when his hormones are all over the place and stuff? He hadn't even had a hard on in his entire life! And his best friend had given him the talk when they were both twelve! But now that he thought about it, his best friends had gone into extreme and precise detail... Could it be...?

Nah, it must be Tsuna's overactive imagination.

But back to the main topic, Tsuna wondered if it was true what he had heard about falling in love. Was it true you felt butterflies in your stomach every time you say your loved one? Was it true your mind went blank and you were redeemed speechless? That you turned into a blushing mess and couldn't even pronounce your name correctly? That you started to sweat like a pig when that person got so very close to you?

Tsuna didn't know, and a part of him longed to. To have someone to love unconditionally, and who would love you back as much as you did. A person who would hol-

"Oi! Baka-Tsuna!" A deep baritone voice snapped the little brunette from his daze, not even realizing he was blushing a cherry color and his eyes looked hazy, making him appear like a very delectable uke to any seme near.

"What's up, Reborn?" Tsuna asked with a smile at the black haired teen with a green chameleon on his shoulders, once he effectively snapped himself of his daze and arranged his features. The black haired teen was now standing besides the smaller one, making Tsuna pout at the height difference. Almost two heads.

The black haired teen with deep onyx eyes was Tsuna's sadistic and popular best friend whom the brunette grew up with throughout all his short and simple life. Others didn't get why we were friends. Tsuna himself didn't understand the reason. It didn't made sense at all. But well, he was Reborn, and if Reborn found you interesting he would made himself comfortable in your life you liked it or not.

And of course, others weren't stupid enough to mess with the popular teen who in fact carried a gun with him by going after said Dame best friend.

Sometimes, Tsuna was glad they were friends.

"Baka-Tsuna" But only sometimes, of course. "-Tsuna!"

"Huh?" The brunette was once again snapped from his wandering thoughts, and sheepishly looked at the obviously pissed best friend of his. "Sorry, I was distracted."

Reborn rolled his black orbs in annoyance. "Yeah, I noticed." He said nonchalantly looking like this was a normal occurrence. which probably was, but then changed the tone of his voice. "Is it because of the demands for romance?" He asked, and Tsuna's face immediately fell.

"Yeah." He said sadly. But the negative thoughts quickly were forgotten as soon as he remembered why he first started writing phone novels and how glad he was when it became a hit. But still, he couldn't help but feel pressure from all his readers' demands. He didn't want to stop, and also wished they wouldn't demand too much. He was still only human and couldn't do all their demands.

"Why don't you just stop then?" Tsuna's head snapped towards Reborn so fast the bones of his neck popped in protest.

"No way! I love writing and I love making other people happy!" And that was true. He would never be able to live with himself if he simply stopped. Not when he knew there were so many people that loved his works and supported him fervently.

"Baka." His taller best friend could only sight in exasperation, a little hint of fondness hidden.

'Romance, huh?' Tsuna looked at his best friend from the corner of his eye.

"I wonder... if he has ever been in love..." He thought aloud without meaning it.

Silence...

The black-head stopped surprised and stared at Tsuna directly in his eyes with a pointed look for a seconds, as if trying to tell the brunette something, before turning around and continuing his way as if nothing had happened.

"Let's just go to the rooftop, I'm hungry." He said stalking away from the smaller teen, leaving him completely confused.

'What was that about?' Was the thought in the back of his head.
