A/N: Okay, I'm sorry this took so long and I don't have an excuse this time. I was just acting lazy and lacking inspiration. Sorry if this chapter kinda sucks, but for now this'll just be a short filler. I promise I'll have the next epic official chapter in a few weeks! For now, Enjoy!
Chapter 36: Mental Battle + Randomness
No One's POV
Lucy was still bound, physically and mentally. Akumi held onto her consciousness and Ayumi has her tied up. Azumi just sat tot he side with a whip in hand.
"Hmm was that enough for you, Akumi?" Ayumi sneered and slashed the restraints off. Akumi fell to the ground and landed safely on her feet, but kneeling, despite the wounds inflicted by Azumi before.
"Yeah, thanks Azumi-nee, Ayumi-nee. Lucy Heartfilia isn't much game. But because of this mate mark," Akumi touched the white dragon on her neck softly. "Lucy has too strong of an attachment to this world to get rid of her completely. The only way might be to kill her precious mate, then I can live happily with you guys!" Akumi smiled creepily.
"Yeah, you may be right." Ayumi pondered different ways to capture Sting Eucliffe while Azumi chuckled and stood up.
"If we have to kill that pathetic dude, the can I torture him? He'll die either way, but lemme have some fun. Eh, Ayumi!" Azumi pleaded with her whip hidden behind her back.
"Heh, maybe. But wouldn't it be crueler to let Akumi handle the final blow? Or even better, Lucy Heartfilia." Ayumi's eyes grew colder by the second and didn't emit even a shred of warmth that was implied by the smile dancing on her lips. She waved one hand and the room grew dark. Until three light filled the room.
"We'll eliminate Lucy Heartfilia as soon as possible for you to use her body, Akumi." Azumi grinned, her hands glowing bright red.
"Definitely! I'll work hard to control her mind completely for now!" Akumi's hands glowed violet as she cheered the death of two blondes.
Ayumi simply smiled her way through her sister's comments as her hands also joined in the fray. emitting a bluish hue.
Back at Sabertooth...
Sting shivered just as he was going to bed. Rogue looked to his partner curiously
"What's wrong Sting? Scared of the upcoming battle?"
Sting hesitated to answer, "Yeah. Me having to fight Lu-chan is just...I wouldn't be able to handle it. Isn't there some way to avoid that fight?" Sting looked to the Shadow Dragon Slayer desperately. Rogue stared Sting down and turned away.
"No, it's inevitable Sting. The only way to avoid the fight between you and your own mate is to not fight for her at all. But the only way a Dragon Slayer can live without his or her mate is through death. So either die together to live together." Sting shut up and laid back down. Rogue rolled over and left Sting alone to his thoughts.
As the night passed on, Sting tossed and turned and shifted around without getting a wink of sleep. I have to fight Lu-chan? I can't do that... Sting thought before he had had enough and just got up to walk to his balcony. The same balcony where Lucy was attacked at first. The blonde male rested his chin on the railing and stared out amongst the city. The rooftops glowed under the light dawn, and the sun peeked through from the other side of the world. The golden glow reminded him of his own mate and made him grow gloomily.
Sting just stood there, moping in his mind, until the sun awoke, along with all the Sabers and Fairies. "Sting, how long are you going to sulk about your inevitable fate?" Rogue and Ayian stood behind him.
"I won't fight Lu-chan. That's final. I'll die before I fight her. If I have to, I'll kill both of us together. I don't care even if Lu-chan is taken over by Akumi-san. She's still Lu-chan." Sting turned around to face his comrades. His face was determined, now if only his mind matched her forward determination. In reality, Sting was shaking. Inside and outside. His fists clenched as he grit his teeth. He bent his head down so his bands shadowed his eyes, slightly covering the coming tears. "Lu-chan is my mate and I won't harm her in anyway. I can't do that. I-"
"Rogue-kun! Ayian-san! Sting-kun! Please open up. Have you seen Natsu or any of the other idiots from my guild?" Erza knocked on the door to the Saber's room and Rogue reacted the quickest to open the door before Titania broke it down.
"I'm sorry Scarlet, but no. We all just recently woke up as well. It would be smart to gather everyone though. Before anyone acts independently and makes a stupid move." Rogue ordered. Erza nodded and opened her mouth to say something, but Ayian interrupted.
"I also have a suggestion... . If we were to equip everyone with a simple dagger for self-defense and a tracking device on each dagger, then it would be a better way to keep track of everyone correct?"
"You're right. But I think we could just ask Hibiki to help us keep our strategy in order. He's an Archive user and we can tell him to keep it a secret from the rest of the Trimens. Of course we would inform Master Bob before pulling any moves." Erza affirmed the suggestion and turned back to go back to her dorm.
"Erza! You're awake as well?" Jellal stood there, his blue hair ruffled like he had just woken up.
"Jellal!" Erza's face grew slightly red and Ayian snickered as he recalled a few memories from the GMG. As the dual identity Saber snickered away, he also pulled out a dagger to protect his neck from Erza's sword. "Another peep outta you and I'm gonna chop you to pieces." Erza glared at him.
"Yeah yeah, Cool down Scarlet." Ayian turned to wink at Jellal, who blushed at his next statement. "Good luck man. And try not to get cut!" After parrying Erza's sword away, the Saber left to order individual daggers from Sabertooth's main guild weapons-maker.
"For now, I think we should all meet up in the same room while waiting for Nazomeita-san to order our daggers." Erza took charge and nodded to Rogue who briskly grabbed his idiotic partner. The Shadow Dragon slayer dragged Sting as he followed after Erza with Jellal close by. With each passing door, Erza knocked on each door quite loudly and yelled...commanded her guildmates to get up. Jellal was a little kinder in contrast to his fierce girlfriend and used care in opening each door to awaken each Fairy.
"Natsu! Gray! Laxus! Gajeel! Get your asses out here this instant!" Erza was only kind to the little females that were brought along.
"Umm, Levy-san? Wendy-chan? Please wake up! We will be meeting with the Sabers shortly and Erza is asking for us to gather." Jellal shook both girls gently as he waited for them to get up. Wendy turned over once before sitting up and yawning. Levy sat up almost instantly to stretch her arms and cover one hand over her yawn.
"Mmm, will we have time to eat during the meeting?" Levy asked as she pulled herself out from under the blanket. Wendy hopped out with Levy and simply sucked in some of the air around course, Rogue was in the doorway, watching as Levy shook out her nightdress. The small Sold Script mage met his eyes and quickly looked away with a faint blush.
Jellal noticed the small exchange, but brushed it off as none of his business. "I'm sure the Sabers will have some food for us to eat, Levy. And Wendy, please refrain from thinning out the oxygen around us." Wendy covered her face from embarrassment and nodded in agreement with Jellal's request.
"Rogue~! Lemme go! I can walk by myself!" Sting whined from outside in the hallway and his partner threw the blonde White Dragon Slayer down the hall towards where Erza was currently beating the shit out of Fairy Tail's other mages. He promptly crashed right into Erza's back and the scarlet haired mage turned to pry Sting off herself. She threw him into the fray as well and punished him with Natsu to give all five mages a NICE, BIG wake-up call.
Laxus was the first to escape Erza's fury by zapping himself behind Rogue and out of sight. Gajeels used his steel scales to lessen some of the damage done to him and the other three nutheads just took the pain.
"Erza, I think that's enough. We need all of our mages at full power in order to save Lucy-san!" Jellal hurried to calm down his tyrant of a girlfriend and Natsu, Gray, Gajeel, and Sting kneeled down before the ex-Council member for saving them. He sweatdropped at their actions while he held Erza back in a lock.
"What's with all this fuss so early in the morning?" Stargazer appeard from the back of the hallway behind Rogue with Jasmine holding her hand and Ginger already starting to bounce around like the hyper girl she is.
"Why is it so noisy already? even with fairies here, it shouldn't be so loud." Minerva and also walked up beside the Fuyuki sisters.
"Morning." Rogue acknowledged his wakening guildmates.
"Oh? Perfect timing, everyone. I have the daggers ordered so if we can all meet in the same room as yesterday. You can go get some food and eat before we meet of course. Just be there by at least 2:00." Ayian informed all the present Sabers and Fairies before disappearing again.
"Food!" Natsu ran down the halls to get food with a bunch of other annoying bakas.
"Gray-san!" Wendy called after the ice mage the same time Jasmine has called for her sister.
"Ginger-nee!"
"Oi! Flamehead! Ironhead! Get back here!" Laxus tried sending down a few shocks to stop them, but they rounded the corner right as Minerva screamed.
"Sting Eucliffe!"
Erza twitched, still in Jellal's hold. "Those bakas...They're ASKING to die!" she roared and broke free from Jellal's hold.
"Erza!" Jellal freaked.
"Oh shit! Not Titania too!" Stargazer cursed.
Rogue's eyebrow twitched as well, but he prefered to stay quiet and just let out a heavy sigh. However, the normally silent Shadow mage couldn't resist a few curses and started mumbling some very colorful insult about his partner and others under his breath.
"Um, Rogue-kun?" Levy sweatdropped and she was the only one who noticed the Shadow's behavior and tried waving a hand in front of his face. She was ignored as more beautiful curses slipped and she laughed hesitantly, "Ehehehe...what just happened?"
With half the group lost in Kami-sama knows where, the short fairy's question was answered by a few stomach growls.
"Stargazer-nee...I'm hungry since it's still morning." Jasmine glanced upwards at her older sister with a pout.
"O-Ok Jasmine-chan. We'll go get you some breakfast right away!" The two sisters walked off as more stomachs voiced their needs. The remaining mages sweatdropped and stalked off to get changed and eat a proper meal before their meeting.
A/N: Ok ok, I know. Sucky ending, but then it would've dragged on forever with more boring crap. Anyways, Let's start the New Year with this incredibly crappy filler chapter! Happy New Year people! ^^
