Arthur never thought he'd run into Francine again, especially with the way things had gone the last time they had met.

But he did run into her. However, this was not the same Francine. Old Francine would have tried to hit on him and make him doubt his current relationship with his husband. But New Francine didn't do that.

Instead, she greeted Arthur the traditional European way: kisses on both cheeks.

"Francine, it's been a while," he stated, thinking things were awkward between them since they had last met.

But it seemed Francine thought otherwise.

"Oui, it has." New Francine put a sincere smile on her face and had a mysterious glint in her eye, which Arthur would later identify.

"So, how are things? What are you doing here in Paris?"

"I'm French, non?" she laughed. "I'm meeting my girlfriend."

"Oh? Is it serious?" Arthur smiled, glad she'd finally found someone to replace him.

"About as serious as you and I were, Arthur. And she's gorgeous. She can't cook worth anything, which reminds me of you, every-now-and-then. Oh, and she's got your temper!" Francine giggled just thinking of her lover.

"Well, it sounds like you're in love, Francine," Arthur said, finally identifying that glint he'd seen before in her eyes. "I'm very glad for you!" he congratulated her.

"I take it you finally moved here with Francis?" Francine questioned.

"Yeah, he finally got me out here," he admitted and smiled sheepishly, shrugging his shoulders.

"I assure you, you'll like France much better than America. Much more familiar over here, non?" she smiled before widening her eyes, "Oh! And I have more news, too! We're pregnant!" she squealed.

"What?"

"Oui! We went in the same day to la banque du sperme, and now we're both pregnant! The doctors told us that I was carrying a girl, and so was Alice! We're due around the same month, too! July!"

Arthur could understand why she was giddy with excitement. "Well, that's definitely some good news! And I have something to share as well. Francis and I adopted our daughter, Michelle, a few months ago. She's the cutest thing, and Francis and the boys love getting to see her in dresses. Although, I think Francis likes to dress her up more than anything. He finally has someone that will listen and not complain about his fashion sense," Arthur chuckled.

"Oh! She sounds like she's enjoying being spoiled by her fathers," Francine laughed.

"She is! She loves it! I wish you and Alice well on your pregnancies, and I hope the baby girls are both healthy and spoiled as well!" Arthur grinned and gave Francine a hug before saying, "Adieu."

"Sounds like you're getting better with French, Arthur," Francine yelled, waving, before she disappeared into the crowd outside the market where they'd run into each other.

"I have to! I've a French lover and live in bloody France!" he yelled.

In response to his comment, he could have swore he heard Francine's signature laugh over the usual market ruckus.

Arthur tilted his head back and put his hands into his pockets. Ah, well, I'm glad I moved to Paris.
