Chapter 15

It's Where My Demons Hide

Gajeel could hear her terrified scream; he remembered how much he had reveled in her fear. He felt his fist connect and her whimper sent pleasing chills down his spine. He continued the assault, smashing her comrades to the ground, she choked up blood. Gajeel dragged his three victims to the Sakura tree in the park; he pushed metal stakes into the bark as to let them hang higher up. As Gajeel was lifting the girl in his trio of victims, she looked up; her brown eyes pierced his red ones. For a moment he almost felt guilty, but as she coughed up more blood, he enjoyed her suffering. Just as he was climbing down, he remembered the paint in his pocket and he spread the Phantom Lord Mark across her stomach.

Gajeel knocked himself out of his terrifying memories as he stared across the guild hall. She was at one of the many tables laughing with her friends. Gajeel thought Levy seemed very bright and perky for the horrors she had been through in her past. She looked over to see him watching her and gave him a wide smile. Gajeel's eyes widened in surprise, he was still not used to her kindness towards him after what he had done. He was glad, however, that his demons which hid inside him were becoming more and more non-existent because of her.

Note: I have discovered that I like Rave Master, Mashima-sensei's earlier work. Mashima-sensei is a brilliant man, I love his devotion to the art of Manga/Anime. Leave me a comment down in the little box there. ~M
