"And, cut!" The camera man said.
A few of the leftover crew members clapped as Chris smiled and got off the floor. He had been pretending to be dead for the end of his Comedy Week quiz show, "I Can't Even". Chris had been rather anxious for this to work; after all, he hadn't made a video in a few months now, and there was a live studio audience, and there were other YouTubers there. But nonetheless, as soon as the cameras had started rolling, Chris put on his charming smile and awkward attitude, and it all flowed rather smoothly.
"Hey, Mr. Presenter!" PJ said, jokingly slapping Chris on the back. His hand rested there for just a moment longer than normal. Chris blushed, hoping that the crew members working around them didn't notice. "You did a fantastic job!" The tiny planet explorer said with a shining smile.
Chris assumed a goofy face and said in a hoity toity voice, "Ah, yes, well you know me, such an esteemed presenter, yes, yes."
A camera man interrupted them for a moment to make sure with Chris that there wasn't anything else that needed to be filmed. PJ looked around somewhat awkwardly, rubbing his hand on the back of his neck. Chris barely was paying attention to what the camera man was saying as he observed how adorable his friend was.
When the camera man walked away, PJ held his arm across his chest and leaned forward, then said in his Ringo star voice, "And Chris, thanks for all those extra points."
Chris chuckled. "Well, Peej, what sort of youtubers would we be if we didn't encourage those homosexual undertones for the shippers?" He added with a hint of sultry darkness in his voice.
They both laughed, but avoided looking each other in the eyes. After a moment, PJ smiled sheepishly and said, "Quite true, quite true." He then dropped his voice to a whisper, and said almost wistfully, "If I were the presenter and it was good ole crabstickz in the hot seat," he smiled mischievously and leaned in closer to Chris's ear, "I would've given you OVER NINE THOUSANDDDDDD POINTS!"
Chris laughed loudly as his friend finished the statement with dramatic hand gestures. Peej then bowed as Chris golf clapped for him.
As the two calmed down, Chris realized that they were the only ones left on the set. PJ must have realized this too, for he made a grand gesture of looking at his watch and slapping his forehead. "Gadzooks! I must be going. Thanks for having me on the show, Chris. It was a lot of fun!" PJ held up his hand and gave a big smile as he began to walk away. "Peej out!"
Chris smiled and waved back, but as soon as PJ was out of sight, the smile faded a little. He took a look around the set for a moment, his eyes settling on the sign with a You Tried star that had "I CAN'T EVEN" written on it. Chuckling to himself, he looked back to where his friend had just exited. With a crooked smile on his face, he softly said in the same sing songy voice that he had used jokingly earlier in the show, "I love you PJ."
