Remember
January 27th, 1945
20:00.
The Howling Commandoes stormed Auschwitz Concentration camp followed by Soviet troops; leading them was Captain America and his partner, Wolverine, James Logan. The Soviets were keeping the Nazis off the Jewish as they ran out to the vehicles, leg and assisted by the Howlers. Captain America noticed a boy stumble, quickly, Cap picked him up, carrying him while Logan had his six.
Suddenly a pair of grenades flew their way, before Logan could warn Cap, the boy's hand shot out. Logan watched shocked as the grenades flew into the air and into a Nazi, exploding. A mutant, like him.
"What's your name bub?" he asked gruffly.
The boy smiled. "Erik Lensherr," he replied.

Logan opened his eyes, the photo of the iron gate still in his line of sight. What a night that had been, over 68 years ago and it still felt like yesterday. It was one of Logan's happier moments, where his part in the war was actually good.
"Couldn't stay away I see," an old and wise voice spoke.
Logan turned back to the museums entrance, Magneto, aka Erik Lensherr. Age 81, he was probably the only living survivor of Auschwitz, of any concentration camp. He showed his past to all by baring his bane, number 214782.
Logan scowled. "Can't exactly agree," Logan turned to the other entrance. "Haven't made it pass the foyer."
Erik smirked. "Skittish?" he asked, walking towards the door.
Logan rolled his eyes. "I should be asked you that," he huffed before following, albeit hesitantly.
The hallways were full of people, the one who cried, Logan knew, had family who were once there. The walls had black and white photos of older people, most likely survivors, some of soldiers Logan recognized. There were also many pictures of the camps, the people, their living conditions, and the tools. Logan paused at a particular picture.
It was of the Howling Commandoes, he and Cap in front, Erik in Cap's arms; this had been taken the day of the liberation, today. Not a week before Cap had disappeared and Logan had joined Weapon X. So much has happened.
Erik frowned thoughtfully. "Whatever happened to your friend Logan?" he asked.
"Got caught in an ice storm."
Logan and Erik froze before turning. Logan recognized everything while Erik only remembered the eyes but they both knew. Steve Rogers, Captain America. Logan and Steve shared a hug.
"Hey Cap," Logan smirked.
Steve playfully smacked his arm. "That's Steve to you, I don't need the paparazzi on my day off," he chuckled and then noticed Erik.
"Son," he greeted, holding his hand out.
Erik smirked. "I'm old enough to be your grand-dad," he chuckled, shaking Steve's hand.
Steve smirked. "Appearances can be quite deceiving," he said.
"Don't I know it," Logan said sarcastically and they shared a laugh.
A meeting of the ages.
