To make up for the angst I wrote. Inspired by the song Little wonders by Rob Thomas. Enjoy :)

They're her favourite moments, these small hours. When she wakes up to just the sound of her beautiful wife's breathing. She loves to lie on her side and gently move her fingers up and down Vastra's scales. The way each scale is different from the other. It fascinates her how some areas are softer then others, how they grow a darker green as you move down along her body.

She finds herself losing track of time on nights like this. She can't help it. From the first time she saw those scales, to the first touch, first kiss, first time she got to kiss every inch of that body. All those moments she will cherish, but it's these early morning hours that mean the most. To see her wife look so peaceful, happy. It makes her heart soar.

Sometimes she gets distracted and starts to leave a trail of kiss along Vastra's jawline. Not stopping until those eyelids flutter open and she gets to see those beautiful blue eyes, and then she's on top of Vastra kissing her softly on the lips.

She loves these small moments because it's just the two of them. No cases, no interruptions, just the two of them.
