Chapter 1: Enlightened

I did this as a request from jakevoronkov1, and for all of you benlie fans out there. Enjoy.:)

Julie was on a date with Herve, her new boyfriend. But all she could think about was Ben. She broke up with him, but couldn't take his mind off him. Sure, Herve had time for her, but he was too demanding. He wasn't happy with anything she did. Ben didn't have enough time for her, but he WAS a superhero, and it was his DUTY. Suddenly, she felt like the most mean and cold- hearted person in the world. "Julie! Are you even listening?!" Herve asked exasperated. "Sorry, what was that?" "I said that you can't have ship around anymore. It is too strange. I don't like him." "Wait, what?! Ship's my pet. And I don't see why you don't like him." "I just don't! You can either have me or you can have that cur." Suddenly, Julie felt furious. "Hey! Nobody talks like that about my dog! And you know what? I'd rather have ship and Ben than a stuck up french pansy any day! It's over Herve!" She said furious, before leaving.

Julie texted Ben to come over to mr Smoothies. "Hi Julie! What's up?" Ben asked, happy to see her. "Hi Ben. I just wanted to say that I'm sorry for all the times I chewed you out for not spending enough time with me. I understand now that it's your duty." "It's okay. Don't worry about it." He said happily , while he hugged her tight. "How are things going with Herve?" "I broke up with him. I saw how stuck up he could be." "Oh... Well, in that case, would you like to go on a date with me tomorrow?" He asked shy. "Really? I'd love to!" She said happy. Right then, something moved in her backpack, and ship sprung out, right in Ben's arms." Ship ship!" "Looks like ship's happy to see you too!" the girl said. "Yeah! I'll meet you tomorrow at mr smoothies." He said, as Ship sprung out of his arms. "It's a date!" Julie said happily, before taking ship and leaving.
