"Annabeth…" he spoke breathlessly.

Luke hadn't change, not physically since he was a vampire, but a small part of Annabeth hoped that he had. It took a lot to leave Luke the first time. She had to up root her whole life, leave her dad, friends, everything to move to New York to start over and she almost was able to move on, but he tracked her down.

"I've missed you.." Luke said in a warm voice as he approached her. Within seconds he was wrapping his arms around her, digging his face into her hair. Her hair she hadn't noticed was now down. Luke had always loved her hair when it was down, he must have done it. Shivers ran down Annabeth's spine as Luke intimately but forcibly touched her hair, running his hand through it and moving his lips along her neck.

Annabeth was afraid to move or push away because she knew there would be consequences. So she continued to endure the intimate encounter.

"Oh how I crave you," he whispered into her ear making goosebumps form, "and your blood. I miss the sweet taste on my lips…"

Luke touched his lips to Annabeth's neck once last time before turning to face her. Annabeth had turned away, looking at anything, but Luke. On a side note, the architecture in this home was stunning. Marble pillars held the archway to the living room that had an equally beautiful marble fireplace. But now wasn't the time to be marveling at the architecture. Annabeth really need to get her priorities straight. How was she going to get out of here?

"Why would you leave me?"

The sudden question made Annabeth flinch, fear crawled into her heart. Annabeth said nothing. Impatience ticked in Luke.

"I'm trying to be nice, Annabeth, but do no push my hospitality."

Not another second passed before Annabeth softly said, "I wanted a real life.."

"What's that supposed to mean?" Luke asked bitterly.

"I wanted to go out, have friends, and be an architect. I couldn't have that before." Annabeth said, choosing her words carefully.

"Why would you want that? You can have eternal life with me!"

The thought made Annabeth cringe.

Luke continued, "Things will be different now. I promise. I love you, Annabeth. I was a fool not to realize it sooner. I hurt you and treated you horribly, but I am a changed man."

Annabeth said nothing.. She wanted to believe him, but her instincts said no.

"Besides," Luke moved so he was behind Annabeth, so close she could feel him brushing against her. He moved her hair so it was all on her left shoulder. "Your friends will be safe as long as you stay with me…" He added eerily.

Annabeth tensed. That wasn't a promise. That was a threat.

Luke moved his lips along Annabeth's neck.

"Okay..." Annabeth said choked out.

Luke smiled his fangs protruding before he dug them into her neck, quenching his deep need for her blood. As he did, a lone tear escaped from Annabeth's eye.

Nothing had changed. She was a prisoner.

…..

Piper didn't care if she lost her job. She followed Jason right out the front door of Craig's and raced down the street with him. He held her hand tightly as they ran inhumanly fast back to Piper and Annabeth's apartment.

Everyone was already regrouped inside their apartment. It was the first time in a while she had seen everyone in one place.

"Alright, tell us everything from the beginning." Jason said immediately to Percy.

"Annabeth was meeting me at our place after work, but she never showed. I've called her cell a million times and walked up and down the path she always takes a hundred times, but nothing. No sign of her."

"It's not like Annabeth to not answer her phone.." Piper added.

"Was there anything off about Annabeth?" Jason asked.

"No everything seems fine. She's been good considering everything that's happened." Percy answered.

"Does Annabeth have any enemies or anyone who would want to take her?" Jason asked.

"No… I don't think so." Percy said sadly.

Immediately, Piper remembered something Annabeth told her..

"You look like you have an idea.." Nico said to Piper.

Everyone suddenly turned towards Piper.

"Well, uh.." Piper tried to get the words out.

"What is it?" Jason asked.

"Annabeth was dating this guy named Luke. I didn't know him because it was before she moved here, but from what she's told me he isn't a nice guy."

"Could it be him?" Percy asked.

"It might be, but there's something you should know…" Piper said, "Luke's a vampire. He used Annabeth as a human blood bag for a couple of years before she ran away. She didn't say much else about him, so that's all I know."

Piper could see the blood boil in Percy's face. His fists clenched at his sides until his knuckles turned white.

"Percy…" Jason warned…

But Percy didn't hear him, all he heard was rage. Rage consumed him until he turned towards the wall and released it with a furious punch that created a crater about the size of Percy's head in the wall.

"That bastard!" Percy yelled.

"Percy!" Jason yelled trying to get his attention, but again he ignored him. Jason reached for Percy, but he knocked him out of the way and went towards Piper.

"Why didn't you tell me?!" He yelled at her.

"S-She just told me a few weeks ago."

"But you didn't think it was that important? That vampire could be after her!"

Before Piper could say anything else, Percy was grabbed by Jason who flung him into the wall. Percy landed with a thud, but before he could recover, Jason took his arm and held him there.

"Fucking calm down, Percy! Yelling at Piper will not change a damn thing! Nor is this her fault! If Annabeth thought it was important she would have told you, but only Annabeth."

Percy said nothing, he only turned his head away.

"Now will you calm down so we can figure out how we're going to get her back instead of just throwing blame around?"

"Fine.." Percy said.

Hesitantly, Jason let him down. Percy shrugged him off and moved away, silently glaring at Piper as he walked past.

Piper hugged herself, feeling guilty.

"Okay, we'll break up into search parties. Nico and Percy you check the north side, Leo and I will check the south. We'll regroup here when we're done."

Everyone nodded, except Piper.

"What about me?" she asked. Jason walked up to her and put his hands on her arms.

"I need you to stay here." Jason replied

"I can help! I want to help look for Annabeth. I'm ready!" Piper argued.

"I know you are, Pipes, but if Annabeth find her way back here then we need to know, so I need you to stay here."

"But-"

"I'm not doing this to punish you. I'm doing this Annabeth or whoever took her may make their way back here, so please, stay here, but stay alert."

"Okay…" Piper finally agreed. Jason kissed her forehead.

"If you hear or see anything, call me immediately. Don't face anyone by yourself, we don't know what were up against."

Piper nodded solemnly.

"I'll be back soon."

"Be careful everyone." Piper called out to them as they headed out.

Jason gave her a charming smile, but it was Leo who spoke, "Careful? Well that's boring."

With that they were gone and Piper was alone…

….

Piper paced along the apartment, wondering where Luke might have taken her, but she didn't know much about Luke to be able to help. The frustration and worry was killing her.

How did Luke find her? What was he going to do?

Piper could only hope she was okay…

An hour went by without a word from any of the boys.

Piper numbly sat on the couch watching Supernatural, but she didn't pay much attention to it. Her mind was clouded with thoughts and worries.

Suddenly the door of their apartment swung open. Piper jumped up from the couch the sight before her was one of hope but it quickly spiraled down. Annabeth stood before her, but she was different. Her grey eyes were sad and fearful and her lively face was pale, she looked 5 years older with dark circles under her eyes.

"Annabeth!" Piper called out, but as soon as she did another figure stepped around her.

He was tall, with blond hair and brown eyes that seemed to dig into Piper's soul. Piper wanted to cower away because his whole presence was overwhelming and powerful, but she didn't. No matter what happened.

"Give her back!" Piper yelled bravely.

Luke smirked and in the blink of an eye was in front of Piper. Before she could react, Luke grabbed her by her throat.

"How cute…" Luke taunted.

"Luke, no!" Annabeth yelled.

Luke's vicious eyes turned back at Annabeth, she cowered back.

"Excuse me." Luke said a muscle ticking in his jaw.

This wasn't like Annabeth. She's always so strong and never backs down, but she… she's scared of Luke.

"Please. Don't hurt her. You said.." Annabeth stopped herself.

"I won't kill any of them as long as you behave. Now go back your stuff." Luke ordered.

"But-"

"Before I change my mind." Luke said every word emphasized.

Annabeth scurried off to her room.

"Annabeth…" Piper choked out.

"Hmm… Now to have a little snack…"

Fear blossomed in Piper, she kicked and struggled, trying to break away, but it was no use. Darkness finally descended upon her…

…..

"Piper!" a soft voice called. "Pipes!"

A voice Piper knew all too well awoke her from the darkness. Her eyes fluttered open, though it took much effort. She couldn't move, her whole body felt like lead.

"Oh thank gods. Piper you need to drink from me." Jason said desperately.

Drink? You can drink from vampires? Oh wait… that just happened..

Piper opened her mouth, her fangs protruding anxiously. Jason then gave Piper his arm in which she immediately began feeding from. She gulped mouthfuls of his sweet, warm blood. She was so focused on feeding she almost missed the groan that escaped from Jason, but not an in pain groan, more of a tender groan like he was enjoying it.

Piper took as much as she possibly could before forcing herself to pull away. She turned away, taking deep breaths, trying to calm her hunger.

The cravings pounded in her head like a drug addict withdrawing from heroin. She want… No she needed more blood. The drive to feed was driving her crazy and she had only been without blood for just a few moments..

"Piper.." Jason's voice broke her from her thoughts. She turned towards him only to connect to his lips. She was surprised at first, but easily melted into him.

Their lips moved in a passionate dance. Hungry for each other, Jason pulled Piper into his lap as she took the opportunity to run her hand through his smooth hair. Their tongues mixed, in a battle for dominance and in thirst for one another. They moved together in need of more, but the desire was brought to a halt by Jason as he pulled away.

He laid his forehead on hers, both of them breathless, the only sound was their heavy breaths.

"I almost lost you again…" Jason finally said.

"Jason…"

"We were all heading back the same time when we heard a scream. Percy recognized it as Annabeth and went running after her, I told everyone to follow him while I check on you, but when I got here…" Jason stopped himself with a pained look on his face.

"I'm okay..." Piper reassured.

"You were drained of nearly all your blood, Piper. You could have died."

"He won't kill us." Piper said firmly. Jason looked at her questioningly. "Something Luke said. Luke told Annabeth that he won't kill any of us as long as she obeys him."

"So he's threatening Annabeth…"

"Yea."

"Damn him.."

"Annabeth is the strongest person I've ever met. I've never seen her scared of anything except spiders, but she was scared of him, Jason. I've never seen her so scared. She was cowering away from his gazes. I can't imagine what he's done to her… What he could be doing…"

"We'll get her back." Jason said confidently.

Piper looked at him with hopeful eyes. She had to get Annabeth back. No matter the cost.
