Mara assessed they'er strengths and weaknesses and gave them weapons and armer accordingly. Trixie was put into a light leather tunic with shoulder guards and a pair of gloves. The hat was removed because it looked just plain ridiculous. For weapons, she was given a long bow, seeing as she took archery at one point in time, she had said, and a holster of arrows was strapped to her back. Newton was given almost the same as Trixie, but where she was wearing a sleeveless tunic, he kept his long sleeve shirt and put on a leather vest with a dagger on the inside of it. Considering he was more used to his gadgets, the dagger was just back-up for if his gadgets decided to not work. Vin was put into light silver plate, with chain-mail under it, along with a helmet, a long-sword and a shield. The long-sword was placed into a holster on his belt, and the shield was strapped to his back. (Even though it took them awhile to get him into the helmet because he said it would ruin his hair.)
Mara looked them over head to toe, making Vin feel like she was sizing them up. He doubted he was wrong, though. "Well, you guys look a lot more likely to actually survive out there, now." She said, smiling at her good work. "Now that that's done, how about we get go-"
She was interrupted by the sound of crashing. Four eyes turned to the source of the noise, which turned out to be the door. There was the point of an axe sticking through the middle of the door. Newton and Vin yelped in surprise.
"It's the woodsman!" Trixie whisper-yelled. Vin's hand flew to the hilt of the sword on his belt, although he was yet to draw it. Looking over to Mara, he noticed she looked on the verge of tears. This raised some curiosity in him, but he knew that this wasn't the time to ask questions. With a new sense of courage coursing through his vain's, he said,
"Mara, is there any other exits in the house?" Vin said as calmly as he could in this situation. Mara seemed zoned out until another swing of the axe and the door being destroyed further, making her snap out of whatever trance she was stuck in. She looked over to Vin, a slightly stunned look on her face before she shook it off.
"I...No. Other from the front door and the windows, there's no exit." Mara said. Newton looked between the three of them, before pulling out something from his bag.
"I have a gadget that I can use to make a sizeable hole in the wall that we'll be able to get through and he won't, due to his size. It won't even make a noise, but it will take-" They all flinched as once again, the door was struck. "-time." He managed to finish. Trixie, Mara and in all looked at each other, before Mara pulled out two daggers from seemingly nowhere and nodding.
"If he gets through before it's done, we'll distract him." Mara looked to Vin and Trixie for confirmation on whether they'll help or not. Trixie gave a stiff nod, her eyebrows drawn down as she pulled out her bow, readying an arrow. Vin looked to the two girls, seeing the determination in they'er eyes. I've gotta do this. For Zero... He thought before gripping the hilt of his sword and pulling it out of it's holster, giving a more confidant nod.
With that, Newton went over to a wall opposite the door and started making a hole with what looked like a mini-saw. The other three turned to the door to see it half destroyed, the woodsman now using his hands(gloved) to pull the rest of the door apart. It was then that Vin got a look at his eyes, seeing that they had no pupils, no colour, they looked like they were zoned out, empty, like everything he was doing wasn't him doing it. It made Vin loosen his hold on his sword slightly, but the sound of Trixie pulling back to string on her bow brought him back to the here and now. He shouldn't start to pity this guy, he was trying to kill them.
The woodsman got rid of the rest of the door and entered the house.!***! The woodsman raised the axe above his head, a battle cry escaping his lips. Vin narrowed his eyes, putting one of his feet behind the other in a defensive stance. He lifted the sword to his front of him as the axe started coming down on them, but an arrow hit the woodsman's arm, pushing it slightly from the power put into the arrow. Vin and Mara looked at each other, seeming to have the same idea, before they both charged at the man with a battle cry of they'er own.
The woodsman recovered from the arrow quickly, Vin was amazed that he simply shrugged of the blood spilling down his arm, ready to block the onslaught of attacks from Vin and Mara. Vin attempted to slash the larger man's side, but it was blocked swiftly by the axe. However, that made the woodsman open to Trixie's arrows that hit him in the legs and Mara's multiple slashes, that cut the man's ribs. Not stabbing, just slashing. But that still made a waterfall of blood spill down the man's side.
It was then that Vin saw an opening and side-slashed, aiming at the larger man's shoulder, but what he didn't expect was for the woodsman to fall to his knees, his neck becoming the target. Blood sprayed everywhere as a vain was cut and the neck was slit. Gasps were heard through-out the room as the woodsman fell to the floor, dead. !***! Vin was in a state of shock, for he saw, just for a moment before the larger man slipped away, the empty eyes fill with life and a look of gratitude was directed at Vin, before the emptiness returned, although it was a different empty.
What happened next was unexpected. Mara ran to the dead man, kneeling next to him and she started sobbing, intertwining her hand with the woodsman. She looked up at Vin, her eyes full of sadness, anger and, most of all, hurt. Vin swallowed a lump in his throat.
"You...y-y-you k-killed him.." She managed before tears continued to fall down her puffy red cheeks. She stayed like that for awhile, before croaking out, "He was my father...a-and you..you killed him.." That seemed to be all she could handle, for her eyes fell back to the man on the ground. Trixie cautiously walked over to Mara, kneeling down and patting the girl on the back. If you looked at Newton, then you would see him in shell-shock, trying to make himself seem smaller.
Vin was in a horrible state. Those words felt like a knife, stabbing Vin right in the gut. He found it hard to breath as he was overwhelmed by guilt. The hold he had on the blood-stained sword slowly loosened before it fell to the floor with a loud clatter, making them all flinch.
The words echoed in Vin's head, masking his mind in a veil of guilt. You killed him...

Macbeth narrowed her eyes at the scene that played before her, before cracking into a grin and cackling in the most evil, most annoying way possible. It made Mirror want to cover his metaphorical ears, although he knew it was impossible. Although instead of making a smart comment, all he could do was stay there in a state of sorrow. The scene that just played before him was horrible and heartbreaking. Macbeth noticed this, so she turned to him.
"What? No smart comment? No jab? No insult? I'm afraid you loosing your novelty." She said with a smirk plastered on her ugly face. This is what made Mirror lose it.
"How can you just smile at this? A man has just died to the hands of a twelve year old child, completely an accident, the child now scared for life. How can you find any of this entertaining?" He asked in the most heartbreaking voice one was to ever hear. But Macbeth simply smiled at him.
"Because this means I'm winning..." She said, looking at the time, which read nine-thirty six. "And it's only a matter of...time..till I've fully won."
