Kyoya POV

I had always prided myself on the ability to keep my calm in pretty much any situation. The only time I had properly lost it was when I had to initially befriend Tamaki. But then again, I think anyone would crack given enough time in his presence.

As I watched the Hitachiin brothers fondle and grab at my girlfriend in the midst of hosting hours, I found that same rage slowly twisting at my gut and tightening the muscles in my jaw. The beginning of a migraine was on its way, I could just tell.

"But Ha-ru-hiii!~" They sang provocatively in perfect unison. One red-head had his arm loosely draped around her neck – his fingers delicately twirling a short strand of hair. The other had snaked his arm around her waist and played at the hem of her blazer, plucking at the shirt tucked into the waistline of her trousers. Kaoru knew I was watching. It was as though he was actively choosing to taunt me. Amber eyes flickered up towards me. Thin lips curled into a menacing smirk before leaning in to whisper into her ear. The blush that instantly lit up her pale features left me baffled and furious. What could he have said that got such a reaction out of her?

Of course the girls were eating it up and begging for more. I couldn't understand the ladies' strange obsession with the yaoi twincest angle that the brothers played on a daily basis. They did it so well that sometimes I questioned whether it were truly an act. As much as that information could very well be useful to me in the future, I couldn't care less at this moment in time – so long as they got their paws off of my Haruhi.

Tamaki had decided to join in on the fun and games. Much to my enjoyment, he began ripping the first years off of Haruhi, but then plastered himself all over her in their place. Nope. The rage returned.

Now the previously gentle fondling had turned into a full on tug of war. Honey and Mori wandered over to observe. The blonde senior was eyeing them with awe and bounced with the anticipation to join in. Mori appeared ready to swoop in, but upon meeting my eye, took a step back and let the chaos continue.

"Guys, I'm not a toy. Let me go! Mori-senpai! Please help!"

A dull ache pulsated through me. It should be me she was calling out to help for. And I wanted to be the one tearing her away and instilling fear into each and every person in the room as I silently warned them not to even try this again. Yet, here I remained. On the side lines as always. Inwardly fuming. Outwardly rational.

The eldest Haninozuka boy had finally caved and bounded to the rescue. Sweeping her off her feet and brushing off the others appeared effortless for the short boy. Haruhi was bundled into his arms bridal style and halfway across the room in a matter of seconds. They shot past me in a blur and halted a few feet from me. Honey glanced at me before smiling brightly and setting her down cautiously – hands lingering and gliding down her back as she descended.

She expressed her gratitude with a crooked smile. "Thanks, Honey. I was worried my arms were going to get pulled out their sockets there."

I supposed that she was safer being purely in Honey's presence than cornered by all four of the hosts – and she was in closer proximity to me now as well. Allowing the rage to ebb away, I returned to staring blankly at the word document on my laptop. The screen had dimmed from the lack of activity which surprised me; I didn't think I had been watching for quite so long. Although my migraine was telling me otherwise.

This shouldn't be affecting me so. An Ootori must remain calm and collected – not imagining the satisfaction of throwing my precious laptop at the next person who touched my property. My frustration was becoming tedious. It would be ten times easier to grab Haruhi and simply kiss her in front of them all. That would show them who was in charge here.

"Kyoya-senpai…?" a hand waving listlessly in front of my face brought me to attention. I wasn't used to zoning out and I'm sure a hint of a blush may have tainted my complexion. "Hello? Anybody home…?"

"Can I help you, Haruhi?" I firmly questioned. The façade was tough to put on at that moment but I wasn't shy of a challenge.

"Hosting is about to finish. You just looked a bit dazed, so thought I'd let you know," her signature natural smile was skewed as she attempted to hide a smirk. She leant in marginally and lowered her voice. "You also look like you could do with a nice home cooked meal, if you'd like that is."

"I was well aware of that," I stated coldly. Snapping shut my laptop, I stood and strode past her so I could continue. "Sounds perfect. Outside in twenty."

Our hands grazed against each other briefly but that's all I allow myself to indulge in. Successfully containing my murderous aura, I marched towards the door without the other hosts so much noticing my departure. Simple minds were too easily caught up in the petty dispute that had slowly become so routine and regimented that even if I had decided to reach out and fulfil my desire of marking my territory, I doubt they would have detected anything out of the ordinary.
