Uh….hiya anyone who's still here.

(Cricket Noise)

So uh…..yeah. I didn't forget about this but school got in the way and I was really over thinking this chapter because of something that happens involving self defense and plus all the other stories. (Mainly The Outsiders and Bad Blood were the main ones I wanted to work on). RG's Story is coming but I kinda lost track of that one. So enough of me rambling. To anyone who's still here; on we go!

After barely escaping the crowd that was forming around the GCPD, Bruce quickly drove home and ran into the Batcave where Alfred was waiting for him.

"So either Penguin drugged Montoya himself or someone is using his revolution idea. No matter what, I need to track him down. Let's put our drones in the air and see what they come up with," Bruce said to Alfred and typed in a few codes sending his drones into the sky around Gotham.

"The computer has been analyzing the drug from Montoya's blood system as well sir," Alfred said.

"Put that up on the screen as well," he ordered and Alfred did as he was told as Bruce's chair came up from the ground. "Now let's see here. The substance in Montoya's bloodstream is the same one at the docs; can't be a coincidence."

"It's ironic how Falcone died at the hands of his own chemicals. Who knew that's how he'd meet his end?"

"It wasn't justice though. It wasn't right," Bruce commented.

"Indeed. Montoya was judge, jury, and executioner. No one should act as all three. I hope you learned something from him before he was killed," Alfred said.

"Practically family he said," Bruce said.

"Family? Strange, I don't recall the mob coming over for Sunday dinner," Alfred said.

"But Falcone wasn't the one who was calling the shots," Bruce brought up.

"I suppose that makes sense," Alfred said and the computer beeped showing the results of the drugs found at the docs, and what was found in Montoya.

"There were two compounds from the drug and both of them seemed stable, but were ready to fall apart. Whoever possessed this knew exactly what they were doing. With this drug, they can exploit anyone's impulses; ones that would normally be able to control," Bruce explained.

"What would the creators of this drug possible have in mind for this? To have others fight their battles for them?" Alfred asked.

"It can turn anyone's baser impulses into whatever results the creators want; they would be like puppets." Bruce said and then the computer beeped.

"Ah! You're drones are in position sir," Alfred stated.

"Great, now let's try to find you Oz," Bruce said

-.…you 'ere me?!...

"Now we're getting somewhere," Bruce commented and tapped into another drone.

"..….Find her! Find her now…….."

"…..Catwoman will pay for th….send a message…..!"

"Got a trace; The Skyline Club. I'll head down there and see what else I can fine." Bruce said and started walking over to where his suit was before Alfred interrupted.

"Sir it's almost 5:00. Remember, you promised that you would pick up Master Dick and it's an hour drive to Central," Alfred said.

"Dammit! I forgot all about him. Alfred…?" Bruce said but was interrupted.

"As I recall Master Bruce, I was not the one who decided to take on an orphan lad as a foster son," Alfred said and Bruce glared at him, but Alfred just gave him a 'look'.

"Alright fine, I'll go pick him up!" Bruce groaned.

"Splendid! And I'm sure the young Master will be hungry by that time, so how about taking him out to dinner?" Alfred suggested.

"Alfred I have work to do," Bruce complained.

"The moment you took that boy in, you became his father and supporter during his troubled time. If you don't want him, then give him to a family that will actually help him heal." Alfred said.

"I'm not sending him back to that awful place to get a family who won't fully understand what he's going through," Bruce admitted.

"Then I suggest you remember that you are his guardian and biggest supporter," Alfred said. Bruce took a deep breath in with his left hand on his forehead before slowly let it all back out.

"Dick and I will be back by nine."

An Hour Later

West Residents, Central City

"Bruce!" a little voice shouted leaving Bruce just enough time to catch his flying ward.

"Did you have fun today?" Bruce asked and Dick nodded vigorously.

"Yeah, and guess what I got?" Dick said and ran over to a bag by the door. He pulled out a box that said 'Make Your Own Dinosaur' with a picture of a skeleton T-Rex. "It's a T-Rex that we have to build together. Can you help me build it Bruce? Please?" he asked his guardian.

"Doesn't look too complicated. I suppose we could take a look at it," he said causing Dick's smile to increase. "Well it's time to go. Did you say thank you to Mr. Barry?"

"Thank you for taking me Mr. Barry," Dick told him.

"Anytime Dick; maybe next time I can convince Bruce to let you hang with us till breakfast," Barry said winking at him.

"We'll see about that Allan. Grab you bag Dick," Bruce said.

"Bye Wally," Dick said while grabbing the bag putting back his skeleton box in it. The young ginger waved goodbye and Bruce and Dick got inside the car heading back to Gotham.

Break*Break*Break

Shelly's Bar and Grill
6:58 pm

"…and right next to the dinosaurs was this bed you lay on and then nails pop out so you're lying on a bed of nails! Me and Wally were a little scared at first to try it but Mr. Barry went first and we were okay afterwards," Dick explained to Bruce.

"Wow, didn't that hurt?" Bruce asked.

"No! It just felt a little funny. It's that weird?" Dick asked.

"I'll say it is," another voice said. The two looked up to see Selina Kyle standing there. Dick immediately frowned and started scooting to the left away from Selina.

"So this is the little kitten I've heard so much about," she said and Dick continued scooting until he was as far as he could go.

"Dick this is Selina. She's a good friend of mine and Harvey's," Bruce explained but Dick just sat there starting to breath heavy with terrified eyes.

"Tell you what Dickie, why don't you take this and go over to the racing game over there while Selina and I talk for a bit," Bruce said handing Dick a few dollar bills when he say his eyes getting glassy. Dick looked at Bruce who smiled back at him and took the money.

"Oh, okay Bruce," Dick said scooting out of the seat and slowly walked away to the game with his head down and sagged shoulders.

"Who knew circus kids were so shy; especially one who preformed death defying tricks in front of a large crowd," Selina said as she sat down where Dick had just been.

"He's still getting over the death of his parents Selina. It's not something you can just get over right away. It takes time and having someone there to help with the pain," Bruce explained.

"Huh, so that's why you took him in; cute," Selina said.

"Okay enough about Dick, I have to tell you something," Bruce said.

"Better be an apology," Selina said and Bruce raised an eyebrow. "You were supposed to take care of our…mutual problem and you just went and pissed him off!"

"I know and I'm sorry but you're in serious danger. The man who hired you is named Oswald Cobblepot; goes by Penguin," Bruce explained.

"Penguin?! Sh**!" Selina said and her eyes went wide. "You've got to be kidding me. Man, when you screw someone over, you really screw them over. Should of just killed me while we were on that rooftop; I'm as good as dead anyway."

"Not if we work together on this. I'll help protect you anyway I can but you need to tell me everything you know about Penguin," Bruce said.

"I only know him by reputation but he's a big deal from what I've heard. He's more dangerous than you think Bruce," Selina warned.

"Trust me, I know what he's like; we grew up together," Bruce admitted.

"Why am I not surprised? Questionable morals and a perchance for theatrics, you two have a lot in common. But the real question is why Gotham? Why now?"

"He thinks he's changing the world for the better. No matter what the cost," Bruce said.

"Well I'm not sticking around here to find out what it is," Selina said and started to get up.

"So you're just gonna leave? You can't just run away from this; Penguin will find you," Bruce warned.

"So what are you suggesting? The cat helps the bat?" she asked.

"…and the Bat helps the cat," Bruce finished. That's when the front door of the restaurant slammed open and a group of guys came in with pipes and crowbars. The few customers and the employees inside the diner took off running out the door while Bruce and Selina stayed put. Dick meanwhile ran back to the table.

"Bruce?! What's going on?" Dick asked with his voice cracking.

"I don't know," Bruce said putting an arm around his shoulder. The group of men came over to their booth with the bald leader wearing sunglasses was talking on the phone.

"Well Bruce, you were right," Selina commented.

"Selina Kyle?" The bald leader said putting his phone in his pocket. "Penguin says 'allo'," he said and one of his henchmen turned on the record player that was in the back. "Beat it! We're here for her," he ordered.

"She's with me. I think you need to leave," Bruce said back. The leader snapped his fingers and one of his henchmen came over with a bottle in his hand. Dick gasped in fear and stood up doing a quick backwards summersault landing on the table behind them. Bruce meanwhile grabbed the man holding the bottle's arm and used his right arm to punch him in the face hard. At the same time, the leader of the group went over to Selina and tried to grab her, but she shoved him off and kicked him against the table.

That's when Dick looked over and saw a man with a beard carrying a glass empty bottle heading towards Bruce. "Bruce!" he shouted as he picked up the plate on the table before throwing it hard at the man. The plate hit the man and fell to the floor shattering into tiny pieces.

"Stupid kid," he said and started walking over to him.

"Ahh!" Dick said catching Bruce's attention. Bruce pushed the man he was fighting away from him and started to run towards the man who held up the glass bottle above Dick's head. Suddenly Dick got into a protection stance, and swung his right palm forward towards the man's chest as the rest of his body moved the opposite way. His palm hit the man's chest hard who then lost his balance and stumbled a little.

"Whoa," he said and stood back up holding the bottle up again before Dick had a chance to run away. This time, Bruce arrived in time and held onto the man's wrist tightly in the air with his left hand before he used his right to punch the man right in the face knocking him down. At the same time, he noticed another man with a beard, shades, and Bennie hat on running towards him. Bruce dodged the punch and held onto the man's neck tight until Selina came over, and delivered a roundhouse kick.

"Not done yet," Selina said as another man with black curly hair ran in while two of the men who were knocked out stood back up slowly. This time, the men reached into their pockets and pulled out knives. Selina and Bruce ran forward each taking out a man but the bald one went for Dick grabbing his arm.

"No!" Dick shouted and twisted his arm and jerked his arm down so fast that the man holding him let go. Bruce meanwhile heard Dick scream again and watched as he got out of his attacker's grip before giving him a push causing the bald man to stumble right into him. Bruce then knocked him to the ground and slammed his head against the floor knocking him out. He then looked at Dick and gave a faint chuckle replaying in his head what a nine year old boy had done by himself.

Selina on the other hand grabbed one of the nearby pool sticks whacking a man with a hat before giving him a hard kick leaving two more men; baldy and curly haired. Selina ran over to the two with the pool towards Bruce and Dick arriving just as the Baldy and Curly charged them. Selina quickly handed Bruce the pool stick before with hit Curly from the side causing him to crash land into Baldy knocking the two of them down, but got back up right away. Selina ran towards the two but Baldy managed to push her away from him making her drop the pool stick that rolled over towards Dick. Dick then picked it up and was about to hand it to Bruce who stood behind him, but Curly ran over and picked up a bar stool and was about to hit Dick with it. Thinking fast, Bruce ran over grabbing Dick's wrists and pulling them up so the stick was now over his head. The chair deflected off the stick breaking it in two leaving a small opening which Bruce gladly took. He dove behind the man giving him a 'bear hug' before slamming his head against one of the tables causing the table to break. Selina meanwhile had gone up to Baldy, grabbing hold of his head and slamming it against the bar with a swift kick to finish it off knocking him down for the last time.

"Didn't know you had a kid who could defend himself," Selina stated after her and Bruce caught their breath.

"Neither did I to be honest. Where'd you learn to defend yourself like that Dickie?" Bruce asked.

"My dad taught me. He said it was dangerous in the world and I needed to learn some self-defense in case something bad ever happened while we were on tour," Dick explained.

"Good advice; especially in this city," Selina said and the group heard some sirens get closer to them until bright red and blue lights appeared from out the window.

"Uh oh," Dick said looking at the window. Bruce meanwhile motioned towards Dick at Selina who nodded and went to stand right behind Dick. At the same time, Bruce quickly kneeled down next to the unconscious bald man and stole his phone from his pocket.

"Come on! We have to go!" Selina said putting her hand on Dick's shoulder and turning him around just as Bruce stood back up tucking the phone into his pocket. Selina then slightly pushed Dick forward until they got to Bruce who then grabbed Dick's hand, and the three ran out of the restaurant's back entrance.

"Alright. Let's get out of here. I'll take the rooftops and you two can just go home," Selina said.

"You jump off roofs?" Dick asked.

"Yup. Easier to get around without the threat of being attacked," Selina said and started walking over to some emergency stairwell on a nearby building. "Don't quit on those self-defense techniques of yours kitten; you never know when you might need them," she continued and Dick slightly nodded. "I'll see you around," Selina said winking at them, and without another word was running up the steps to the roof leaving Bruce grinning. When she made it to the top, she glanced at them one more time before doing a flip to reach the roof of the restaurant.

"Whoa!" Dick said.

"Come on, let's go before we're caught," Bruce said and reached into his pocket to grab his keys. He pressed a button and the lambroginii pulled up in the street the opposite direction from where the police cars were.

"Oh, and this stays just between you and me. Got it?" Bruce said as they started walking towards the car.

"What about Alfred?" Dick asked.

"Even from Alfred; we don't want to worry him now do we?"

"I guess not," Dick said and the two got into the car to head back to the manor.

Break*Break*Break

"Welcome back sirs. I trust your time was rather enjoyable Master Dick?" Alfred asked as soon as he opened the door for them.

"Yeah it really was! I got this T-Rex made out of bones that Bruce is gonna help me build!" Dick announced.

"Splendid! I'll go prepare you a quick snack while you can get set up in the dining room," Alfred said and left before Bruce had a chance to protest.

"Come on Bruce!" Dick said grabbing his hand and leading him into the dining room. When they got there, Dick put his bag on the dining room table when suddenly he gasped in pain.

"Dick?!" Bruce asked putting a hand on his shoulder. It was then that he noticed some blood on Dick's right arm.

"You got hurt," Bruce commented getting down to Dick's level.

"Huh? N-no I didn't," Dick said crossing his arms and using his hand to cover up his wound.

"Dick, don't lie to me. I just want to help you," Bruce said reaching for Dick's arm but Dick jumped back.

"I don't want any help!" Dick shouted holding his arms against his chest while slightly turning away from Bruce.

"Okay, Okay," Bruce said and held up both his hands. "But can we at least put a band-aid on so it doesn't get infected?" Dick thought about it for a minute biting the bottom of his lip before nodding.

"Alright Mr. Wayne," Dick said.

"Good. Here, sit down while I go get one," Bruce said motioning over to the dining room table. As soon as Dick sat down still holding onto his arm, Bruce went into the kitchen grabbing the first-aid kit, and brought it back to the dining room. "Alright, let's see what you got here," Bruce said. He grabbed Dick's shirt sleeve and started to roll it up but when Bruce's hand made contact with Dick's arm, he gasped and scooted away from Bruce as quick as a bullet.

"Whoa, easy there buddy. I didn't mean to startle you," Bruce said.

"M-maybe we shouldn't do this. I'm alright, really," Dick insisted holding his arm against his chest again while turning away.

"We need to take a look at that Dick. Do you want to become sick because we didn't treat it right?" Bruce asked.

"N-no," Dick responded.

"I won't hurt you I promise," Bruce said. Dick hesitated before he held his arm out once more towards Bruce. This time, Bruce managed to roll up his sleeve to his mid-arm so he could see the long, deep cut on Dick's lower arm. "Yikes, does that hurt?" Bruce asked.

"A little," Dick replied.

"Well I've gotta put some medicine on that so it can get all the nasty stuff out of there. It might sting a little but it's only for a second. Can you handle that?" Bruce asked.

"Guess so," Dick said.

"Alright," Bruce said and got out some disinfectant spray and a large band-aid.

"Whoa. That's a big band-aid," said Dick.

"Alfred likes to be prepared for anything. He's got about a hundred of just these big ones in one of the other boxes," Bruce commented and Dick let out a simple smile. Bruce took a hold of Dick's arm and held up the spray bottle. The smile from Dick's face faded and Bruce felt Dick's skin become rough with goose bumps.

"You ready?" Bruce asked. Dick took a deep breath and nodded his head before squeezing his eyes shut tight. "One…two… (spray)." As soon as the disinfectant was on Dick's cut, his eyes were being squeezed tight and he grunted his teeth giving a grunt. Without saying a word, Bruce brought Dick's arm a little closer and blew onto his arm easing some of his pain. Afterwards, Bruce quickly grabbed the large band-aid and put it over the cut.

"There you go. All done!" Bruce cheered. Dick opened his eyes and looked at the band-aid.

"Really? That didn't hurt one bit," Dick said and Bruce chuckled. "So do I get a lollypop for being good?" he asked.

"Actually, I think I smell something better then a lollypop," Bruce said sniffing. Dick sniffed as well and felt his taste buds tingle when he smelt chocolate and some kind of brown sugar being mixed together.

"Alfred's making cookies!" Dick shouted and jumped off the table running into the kitchen. By the time Bruce walked in there, Dick was already munching on a chocolate chip cookie.

"This is all you may have for right now sir," Alfred said handing Dick a plate with a glass of milk.

"Okay," Dick wined while dunking his cookie in his milk.

"Well I have to get going. I'll see you later Dick," Bruce said. Dick's features dropped and called out to Bruce as he was starting to walk out of the kitchen.

"Again? But we just got back and I thought we were going to put my dinosaur together," he complained. Bruce stopped and turned around to face the boy.

"I'm sorry Dick but I have to go; I've got a late meeting. We'll do it another time," Bruce said and started to walk again.

"When will you be back?" Dick asked.

"Tonight, but it'll be really late," Bruce said not failing to see Alfred's glare towards him.

"Oh….okay," Dick said and his shoulder's and head dropped to the floor. Bruce gave two quick pats on the boy's head before Bruce walked out of the kitchen heading towards the front door.

I'm gonna stop right there so I can get this up and posted to whoever has been waiting a year for. Also quick question, would you guys rather me post this series in small parts like I'm doing for episode two or would you rather me just write everything for one chapter. I'm willing to do both, but shorter chapters won't twice as long to write, but you won't have to worry about a cliffy right in the middle of the action; unless it's between episodes. Please tell me what you think.

RIP Telltale who will never give us Wolf Among Us 2 or Batman season 3. But I'd rather take that then have people slaving over getting a game out in a short period of time without getting paid; no matter how much it kills me.

Until next time,
