CHAPTER 3: CONFLICT

Sasuke

The first time I saw her, she blew my breath away.

Her pink cotton candy hair cascaded down her back in gentle waves. Her eyes were the deepest green I had ever laid my eyes on. Her lips were tantalizing and her smile- God, her smile was ethereal.

I could feel blood rushing in my veins and my heart thumping like crazy at the sight of her.

It was the first time I had felt this way.

I had dated a fair share of beautiful women before but not once had I felt the urging need to monopolize them.

She was different, I realised.

Staring at the green-eyed woman evoked a sense of need and want that was foreign in me. And in that instant, I knew what I had to do.

I have to have her.

. . . . . .

Sakura

I felt it before I saw it.

I closed my eyes, my fingers nervously playing with the hem of my uniform.

It was those eyes again, I thought. I wasn't even surprise anymore. I was used to it by now.

But unlike any other day, today, those eyes felt softer and more endearing. Strangely, I felt comforted under its caress even though I should feel otherwise.

Maybe it was because I had finally met the owner of those daunting eyes. My mind briefly flitted towards yesterday's events.

After He left, I went straight to the toilet and was shocked at the amount of hickeys he left on my neck. I had to apply foundation on my neck to avoid people from asking about it. Especially Kiba.

My heart ached. I felt guilty for keeping this away from him but I had no choice. There was no doubt that hewill hurt Kiba. He was crazy.

And yet you kissed him back.

I clenched my fist, desperately wanting to forget that ever happened. It was a mistake. Oh God, what was I thinking?

"Sakura-chan?" a voice questioned, pulling me back to reality. I opened my eyes and a small smile curved my lips as my eyes landed on my boyfriend of 6 months. It was an automatic response. Seeing him makes me happy.

"Kiba!" I cheered excitedly, wrapping my arms around his waist as I rested my cheek against his defined abs. One of the perks of dating the Captain of the Soccer Club! I sighed happily, "I missed you,"

Kiba chuckled, looking at me with adoring eyes, "Did you wait too long? Practice just ended. Coach worked us extra hard today since the competition is next week,"

I shook my head, "It's okay! The competition is important right? Scouts are going to be there,"

Kiba grinned.

"Yeah, I hope I can get a full ride for college with soccer," Kiba said with a wishful smile.

I took his hands in mine and squeezed it endearingly.

"I'm sure you can do it! You're the best player in the team after all!"

Kiba chuckled, "You're so cute, you know that?"

I grinned up at him.

"I know. You're so lucky I'm even sparing you a glance, let alone date you," I teased, poking his chest playfully. Kiba pouted and I resisted the urge to kiss his silly pout away.

"Stop being a meanie, Saki," Kiba frowned and I couldn't help but let out a laugh. Out of the corner of my eyes, I saw Kiba smiling at me softly.

"We should probably go now. It's getting pretty late," Kiba suggested as he quirked his brow at the setting sun through the classroom window. I shrugged.

"Yeah sure. I'll just pack my things up real quick,"

Kiba nodded before a slow tortured sound emitted from the back of his throat. My attempt to start packing halted as I looked up at Kiba in surprise.

"Something wrong?" I asked, my headed tilted to the side in forced habit.

"I forgot my Calculus assignment in my locker," Kiba said, his voice sounding annoyed. I laughed. I wasn't even surprised. Kiba was one of the most forgetful people I had ever met.

"Want me to come with?" I offered, but then I was reminded of my own casualty as my eyes lingered on my messy desk, "On a second thought, it might take a while," I continued sheepishly as I pointed my fingers to my desk.

Kiba gave me a wry grin in amusement. Then, he shook his head, adjusting the backpack strap on his shoulder.

"Nah, It's cool. Besides, my locker is on the third floor. I'll just wait for you downstairs," he grinned, ruffling my hair in a playful manner. I glared, annoyed at him for messing up my hair.

"I hate it when you do that," I complained. Kiba merely chuckled before he leaned down to kiss me on my temple.

"Be downstairs baby!" he grinned before walking off towards the door. I rolled my eyes but unconsciously, a smile made its way to my face.

The door closed with a soft click behind him. I hummed cheerfully to myself, filling up the deafening silence as my hands busied themselves with shoving my stuff into my backpack. The faster I get it down, the quicker I'll be able to meet back up with Kiba again! It had only been a few minutes but I missed him already. The silence was glaringly loud now that Kiba had left me to my own demise.

After I finished packing up my things, I slung my backpack over my shoulders and made a move to close and lock all the windows.

The process was smooth. I slid the windows down, twist the lock, and move on to the next one. Well, it was smooth up until the last two windows, the ones beside the teacher's desk. With much trouble, I pulled one of the windows down and locked it. Now the only one left was the window by the corner.

As I struggled to tug the last window down, I heard the sound of a door opening from behind me.

"Wow that was quick," I commented to myself as I heard Kiba's approaching footsteps. Perhaps he ran all the way up to the third floor. I let out an amused smile.

"Give me a second babe, I'm trying to get this window down but it just won't budge!" I groaned and tugged harder but the window remained still. I expected him to offer me his help but all I received was silence on his end. I frowned. That was odd.

"Kiba?" I echoed. No response.

"Hey, is something wr-" I turned to look but before I could, a pair of thick arms wrapped themselves around my waist. I sucked in a breath, realising straight away that the arms holding me did not belong to my boyfriend.

"I've missed you, my love," a familiar voice hummed behind me.

My breath hitched.

"Y-you, what are you doing?" I stuttered, my heart sinking as I realised who it was that has held me captive.

The person chuckled before he nuzzled his head on the crook of my neck. His hands squeezed my hips before they wandered dangerously close to the area between my thighs. I gasped.

"What do you think I'm doing?" He murmured teasingly. I bit my lips, trying hard to stop the moan from escaping my lips as he peppered kisses along the soft spot behind my ears.

"S-Stop," I whimpered, squeezing my legs in discomfort.

I felt him grin against the skin of my neck.

All of a sudden, my body was turned and my eyes clashed with pair of obsidian eyes. Weird, where did the red eyes go?

"Hi," Sasuke-sensei whispered with a captivating smile that knocked my breath away. However, before I could reply with my own, he was back to attacking the nape of my neck with kisses. He sucked and kissed my neck like it was the most delicious thing he had ever tasted. His tongue lapped and licked my neck in hunger, stirring an unknown feeling in my stomach.

Unable to hold them back, a moan escaped from my mouth.

I heard Sasuke groaned from above me as he pulled me even closer to him. He pressed his lips deeper into my neck and I let him.

We were now a tangled mess. His right leg was in between my thighs, my hands were lost in his mass of black curls while his were slowly creeping up under my uniform. I arched my neck, giving him more access to my neck and he more than gladly shower it with affection.

"Sakura," Sasuke-sensei growled in feverish need. His black eyes were clouded with desire and I had a feeling that mine shared the same look as his.

"Sakura," he repeated again, his mouth slowly inching their way up to my jaws. They lingered at the corner of my lips before they hover dangerously above my lips. I stared at his devilish lips with hooded eyes, wanting them to do wonders to my lips just as they did with my neck.

"Sasuke," I whispered softly, my fingers playing with his hair mindlessly.

Just as Sasuke-sensei lean down to close the gap between our lips, my phone rang, shocking me back from my dream-like state. Realization dawned upon me as I realised what I had just done.

"Oh my God," I whispered, my eyes glassy with tears. I covered my lips in shock and disbelief. I can't believe I just cheated on my boyfriend with my teacher.

"Sakura?" Sasuke-sensei's voice was filled with concern but I flinched away from his worried eyes. I tried to push him away, desperately wanting to put some distance between us but he wouldn't budge, much to my dismay.

"Sakura? Are you okay?"

My lips quivered as tears steadily rolled down my cheeks, "Don't touch me,"

Sasuke-sensei's eyes hardened, his hand tightening its grip around my wrist.

"I'll touch you whenever I feel like it," he scowled. I shook my head, not in the slightest mood to deal with him. My phone rang again and my heart ached as I saw the caller ID.

Boyfriend ❤

"I need to go," I murmured quietly as I gently pried his hands away from me. I felt him released my hands. Just as I made a move to slip away, he held me back by my wrist.

"Stay," he pleaded, looking vulnerable and broken.

My heart broke at the sight. He looked as if he had just lost everything he ever had.

But how can he?

When I wasn't even his to begin with.

"I'm sorry," I whispered, "I don't belong to you, never was, never will,"

And with that, I ran and ran, never looking back.

. . . . . .

Sasuke

I stared at the open door with an empty stare.

She left me.

My scowl deepened.

She left me.

for him.

I felt my blood boil.

Why must it always be him? Why him? Why not me?

I gritted my teeth.

You belong to me, Sakura. Always was, always will.

Mark my words.
