You people want everyone to be depressed, dont you? Canada, Iceland, Sweden. Please no one else! Let the world be happy!

Iceland has a secret.

He is slowly loosing his sanity.

What most people forget is that Iceland was nearly wiped clean of his population several times. He nearly starved to death, had over a third of his population wiped out by plague, and had another third wiped out by a volcano.

When Iceland was independent for a few years during the 11 century, his country had been contaminated with inner clan fights and borderline civil war.

He started committing suicide (even though he comes back) and no-one notices when he misses out at meetings, not even Norway as the other blond is usually buesy with Denmark.

Iceland just wants the pain to go away... For good!

It's also the reason he doesn't want to call Norway big brother. He doesn't want anyone to get more attached to him then they already were. He doesn't want anyone to find out and so far, they haven't.

Iceland only hoped that it would last.

England looked up at America, who was making a fool of himself at the front of the conference room. Something about America was bothering him ever since he had found that old painting. It was of him and America, a few years before the Revolution and something about the change of appearance in America was bothering him.

England shook his head and turned his attention to the paper in front of him on the table. Of course something was different. It's been 200 years since that painting. America looked a few years older, his hair has darkened slightly, and he had gotten glasses.

Why did he have glasses again? They were Texas, right? Right. Did America even need glasses? England hummed in thought quietly, gladly taking the new train of thought. It was the glasses that making making him wonder, surely.

He'll ask America after the meeting.

...

England entered the break room after the meeting. He had just seen America enter and he still wanted to asked him.

The first thing that he registered when he entered the room was that it was noisy. Very noisy. Greece and Turkey were fighting over Japan again and it was making a lot of noise. Poor Japan was just sitting in a chair, not knowing what to do.

The second thing he registered was that America was reading. Well, that was new. He walked up to the younger blond.

"Hey America." England said.

"Yo Iggy!" America lifted his head, gave a giant smile in his general direction, and moved his book as if to hide it from England. And it would have been hid, and England wouldn't have thought much about it... If England was closer to the wall and not in the direction the book was shifted to.

Was-was that Braille?

Why did America need a book in Brallie?

The bothering that England had felt earlier came back and develop into a full blown bad feeling. He shook his head. Maybe America just wanted to read Brallie. He did know almost every language in the world. Maybe he wanted to brush up on a written one. That's realistic right?

"Iggy? Dude?" America frown and England was now painfully aware that America was only looking in his gerenal direction and not at him directly. Actually, he was looking a few inches off to the right of England.

"I just wanted to ask you what those glasses represent." Englabd said as calm as he could as he put his hand as close to America's face as he could. People normally get crosseyed and back off once they see something this close to their face but America didn't. He stayed put and England pulled his hand back quickly.

"Texas. I thought you knew this." America laughed. "Are you getting old?"

"Oh belt up." He said, more out of habit then anything. He did not have his mind on this right now. "If you excuse me, I have other matters I have to attend to."

England left and walked back into the now empty conference room. He sat down in a chair and put his head in his hands. How could he not of notice this before? America's unseeing eyes, his thicker then normal books, his tendency to point to the wrong things. All of which England, and everyone else, had put off to America being an idiot. Why had they thought that?! America was a superpower. They had seen him in battle during the world wars. You couldn't do any of that on luck!

But now England couldn't lie to himself. He had to face the truth that America was blind.
