Disclaimer: I don't own Skip Beat!, Nakamura Yoshiki does. But I do own this story.

Pairings: Ren x Kyoko/Setsu

So because I've been enjoying rereading Skip Beat! lately (for the gazillionth time- whose with me!?) and because I was previously asked by my readers to elaborate further with regards to Sho's part in this story- I did kind of just drop him after all. LOL. Sorry Sho! -I decided to write this little short.

It was just so hard to put in something about him in the previous chapter's epilogue since it would look so out of place which is why I didn't include any more about him.

Anyway, I didn't plan on writing this at all and this was actually put together a little too quickly (a couple of minute ago to be precise) and without much thought.

It may not be much but I hope you guys enjoy!

EXTRA

"Resist"

Sho looked up when he heard a small group of people laughing as they passed by.

When his eyes met with one of them, he deftly lowered his head again and readjusted the cap he was wearing even lower over his face.

'Tsk... what the hell am I doing?' he asked himself irately.

He had a rare day off so now he was currently outside a production building, on the lookout for a certain actress. According to his sources, this was where most of the filming for the hit teen TV drama Box "R" was taken and that she had been spotted showing up here nearly everyday in the last week.

The sound of incoming footsteps took Sho's attention and he again glanced up only to spot a man carrying a pile of small boxes on his way inside the building.

Sho clicked his tongue.

It had been three weeks since the incident at the restaurant and since he had been given an earful over the phone about how he should leave her alone and stop calling her. Not once had Kyoko bothered to contact him to apologize for her behavior or for fooling him into thinking that she was some quarter-British girl named Setsuka Heel. Had he been part of some acting experiment or something? Was she doing all that to make a fool out of him?

Regardless of her reasons, he had tried to get in touch with her multiple times after that incident in order to get answers and hopefully an apology. But he could never get through. During the first week of his attempts, her phone rang but his calls were never answered. After that, it wouldn't ring at all anymore. As if his number had been blocked or something. Which is why here he was now, forced to do something as low as waiting for her outside her workplace like a common stalker.

'You better be damned grateful, stupid Kyoko.'

The sound of giggling caught his ears.

He looked up and finally he had found his target. It was...

"Kyoko?" he wondered in a small and awestruck voice that he was sure the girl in question couldn't have heard him.

She was accompanied by three other girls around the same age as her. Sho even recognized one of them as an actress he had seen in another drama recently.

"Mogami-san," he heard one of them say, "wanna go to that cake shop again today?"

The young woman leading the group turned around with a smile on her face.

It really was her.

But she looked different. It was Kyoko as Sho had never seen her before. It was just like that time he had first seen her made up as an angel for his PV and just like that time he had first seen her dressed up in her role as "Mio" at Karuizawa... She was completely unrecognizable.

The Kyoko this time still had her usual ginger hair, except it was currently combed back neatly or rather... sexily? The clothes she was wearing despite not currently filming, were also quite stylish and unlike anything the usual Kyoko would wear from her long coat and scarf to her purse down to her heels. She looked undeniably chic, not to mention the air she had about her was like that of a professional model. The way she carried herself and the expression on her lightly made-up face looked really mature.

Who the hell was this woman?!

Sho could only stare at her from afar. It was like she had multiple faces. Was her acting really this good? No, it's definitely because of the make-up, right?

Kyoko glanced at the watch she was wearing. Though there was still time until her next job at TBM (she had since been given back her job as Bo) she still needed a little prep time to get out of being "Natsu" which involved her getting out of the clothes she was wearing. She couldn't just show up there looking like she did at that moment after all.

Before she could tell them that she had to pass however, a singular but rather loud honk caught her and the rest of the girls' attention.

They all turned to the side of the road where a silver Porsche was currently parked. Its engine was still running and the driver showed no indication of coming out.

"Ah," was all Kyoko could say. There was surprise on her face but she was also clearly pleased.

"Who's that?" Honami and Yuka asked in unison, looking interested. It wasn't everyday you'd see a sports car roll up this close and out of the blue.

"Oh," Chiori said in recognition. After seeing the very same car often coming and going at LME, it was easy to guess who was behind the wheel. But why was he here? "Isn't that-"

"Amamiya-san!" Kyoko interrupted quickly and looking quite flustered as she took Chiori's hands into hers. "I-I'll see you at LME then?" she said as she gave the dark-haired girl a meaningful look.

It was clear to Chiori that Kyoko had wanted to keep this particular matter a secret. It was also at this point that she figured that the rumors going around LME lately about the number one Love Me member and a certain hot-shot actor really were true. Why else would he come all this way for her after all?

"Ah... sure, yeah," she replied though this didn't really make sense since neither of them had anything scheduled at the Love Me Section that day.

"Makino-san, Sudo-san, good work today. I'll see you girls tomorrow!" Kyoko added with a smile and a fleeting grateful look towards Chiori.

"Oh, yeah... good work. See you!"

The three girls watched Kyoko quickly make her way towards where the car was parked.

"Oi, oi!" Yuka said excitedly just before the front passenger door where Kyoko just entered slammed shut. "Wasn't that Tsuruga Ren?!"

Chiori and Honami both looked at her, the latter practically looking at Yuka as if she were crazy.

At the mention of the name, Sho finally snapped out of his own reverie and turned towards the silver car which had just rounded the corner down the street.

"How could that be possibly Tsuruga Ren?" Honami asked, trying not to laugh. "I mean, I know he and Mogami-san had worked together in the same drama but why would he come over just to pick her up?"

"But I swear, that really was him! When Mogami-san opened the door, I saw him on the driver's seat," Yuka insisted before turning to Chiori. "Amamiya-san, you work at LME too. Surely you've seen Tsuruga-san there too? Was that his car?"

Chiori blinked at this but eventually shrugged her shoulders. "I'm not always at LME so I don't know. I haven't spoken to Tsuruga-san before either. He's usually so busy so I don't always see him there," she explained which wasn't completely a lie. 'Sorry Mogami-san, this is all I can do to help.' Chiori knew that all the girls needed to do was look it up online to find out if the car just now really was Ren's, then the jig is up. As far as she knew, what the man drove wasn't much of a secret considering he's seen driving it around everyday.

Hopefully, both girls would forget about it.

"You're seeing things Yuka," Honami insisted. "Anyway, let's go. We can ask Mogami-san tomorrow. For now, I wanna try out that cheesecake we couldn't get our hands on last time."

Sho waited until the three girls were a good deal away before he finally stepped out from the spot he had been inconspicuously standing in for the last half hour or so.

Though he didn't know a lot about Tsuruga Ren, he had met and had spoken with the man a couple of times. That included the time he confronted Ren in the parking garage at TBM. There was no denying the fact that the silver Porsche just now was indeed his. Besides, who else could Kyoko possibly know owned a Porsche? And in that exact same color and model?

But then... Why was he here? Or rather, why did he come to pick up Kyoko? Not to mention Kyoko had gone to him as soon as she spotted his car and had gotten in without the least bit of hesitation.

"What the hell is going on?"

With a sigh, Kyoko leaned back against the chair before turning to the man sitting next to her.

He was wearing a black formal suit though there wasn't a tie around his neck and two of the top buttons of his red button-down shirt were undone.

It was obvious that he had just come from his job but Kyoko couldn't help but think he looked like a host. There has got to be a limit as to how handsome this man could look.

"So? What are you doing here... Tsuruga-san?"

Despite the use of his surname, there was no denying the laughing smile playing on the actor's lips. She always reverted to calling him as such whenever she was unhappy with him.

"Hmm? Isn't it normal for a man to come pick up his girlfriend after she finishes work?"

Kyoko narrowed her eyes at him.

"Not when said man is a popular actor and model whose supposed to be incredibly busy. No, definitely not," she said as she crossed her arms over her chest. "You even had the gall to come over using your own car. You know Amamiya-san knew it was-"

But her words were lost when she felt Ren's lips press against hers firmly in a kiss.

It lasted for only a few seconds, only until the traffic light turned green when he had to focus on driving once again.

When Ren turned his attention back on the road, Kyoko couldn't help but turn away to look out the window. She could see her reflection on the glass and her face was quite red.

"I hate you," she mumbled.

Ren couldn't help let out a little laugh when he heard this. As soon as he switched gears, he took one of Kyoko's hands in his and began rubbing his thumb over her soft skin.

"What am I going to tell Yashiro-san? By the way you're dressed right now and seeing as he isn't with you, you definitely escaped right after the magazine interview, didn't you?"

He shrugged carelessly. "I have enough time before my next schedule. It doesn't matter what I do on my breaks as long as I make it on time for the next thing on the agenda and do my work properly. I always make sure to do my best when I'm on the job and I've never been late either so..."

'This guy...' Kyoko thought as she stared at him, unable to conceal her own incredulity and- as much as she didn't want to admit it -amazement.

They haven't been dating for long but so far he was able to manage his already ridiculous schedule while spending time with her as well. True, they haven't had any alone time like they had back when they lived together as the Heel siblings when she lost her memories but they still managed to have some of their meals together and when they couldn't, he would come and see her for short (and random) periods of time whenever possible just like today. They also often exchanged e-mails and calls.

"That aside, were those your coworkers you were with just now?" he inquired. He hardly had any time to watch TV, let alone full episodes of any drama that he didn't know who Kyoko's costars were for Box "R".

"Yes. You know Amamiya-san from the Love Me Section. The other two were Makino Honami and Sudo Yuka. They both play close friends of mine in the show. They're a part of Natsu's gang."

"Mmmm..." Ren replied, sounding thoughtful. "And that guy nearby?"

"What guy?"

Seeing Kyoko's genuinely questioning face, it was clear to Ren that she had no idea that anyone else had been there.

Knowing this, he couldn't help but smile to which Kyoko blushed in response (as usual).

She was still not completely used to seeing his sincere smiling and loving face, especially when it was flashed so casually and suddenly like that. She needed at least a little preparation for her heart beforehand. It has been a couple of days since she last saw his face this up close too.

Even if they were very much into each other, there were still some things that weren't easy to get used to.

"Nothing, I was probably seeing things," he said offhandedly.

Kyoko looked at him curiously for a while before looking back out the window again.

Ren glanced at her once more before looking up at the rear-view mirror. Though the production building has been out of view for a while now, he couldn't help but think of that man. He may have been out of sight from Kyoko and the other girls but from where Ren was, he could clearly see him, leaning against the side of the building not far from the entrance.

At first he had thought it was some random guy waiting for someone or another. But when he caught sight of the blond hair and finally recognized the familiar build, not to mention the way his face was directed to where Kyoko had been standing... it wasn't hard to put two and two together.

That was definitely Fuwa Sho.

Though the thought of him still irritated him greatly, lately he couldn't help but laugh as well.

'So it had come to this,' Ren thought, rather amused by the situation.

Normally he would be angered at the very sight of the young singer but he was already expecting something like this to happen. If anything, he was surprised it hadn't happened sooner. Ever since he secretly set Kyoko's cell phone to block Sho's number, making it unable to receive texts or calls from his number since two weeks ago, he figured he would turn up in person eventually. And sure enough, he did not disappoint.

'You've had your chance. She's mine now and I'm definitely never letting her go.'

With that thought in mind, Ren raised his hand still holding onto Kyoko's and pressed his lips against her dainty fingers.

"What's wrong?"

At this, Ren could only smile back at her. "Nothing. I was just thinking about methods to keep bugs away."

"You're having bug problems?"

Trying not to smile too much, Ren nodded. "Something like that."

"Just use bug spray or some kind of repellent."

"Oh, but I am."

"It's not working?"

"It has but this kind of bug keeps coming back. It's pretty resilient."

"That's one annoying kind of bug," Kyoko commented with raised brows.

When she said this with so much sincerity on her face and in her voice, Ren couldn't help but finally crack up.

This only made Kyoko even more confused as to why he would think his situation would be so funny.

"Yeah, he really is annoying. I'm glad you agree."

"He?"

Ren could only grin.

Author's Note:

See what I mean when I said it was short? It was really short.

I know it only raised even more questions (for Sho anyway) but at least you guys know what the man's been up to since his last encounters with Kyoko/Setsu.

Also, please take note of the "P.S." I've written in the previous chapter. I've made slight changes to a certain part of the Epilogue due to something I overlooked in the main story with regards to Ren admitting that "Tsuruga Ren" is a stage name. I previously said that I would just leave it alone but since I updated this story with this Extra chapter, I decided to just fix that as well. Since I'm here and all.

That aside...

Skip Beat! lately has been really awesome, not only in terms of the plot but most especially the art. Nakamura-sensei has been really stepping up her game! Anyone else agree with me? Especially the chapters with Ren looking like Kuon while they were in Guam... AHHHHH! Simply to die for! Even the rest of the characters have been looking better and better since the manga first began.

The manga already has soooo many chapters now and though I want Ren and Kyoko's romance to progress already, I also can't help but enjoy the very slow development. I want the manga to last forever at the same time I want things to just happen. I'm sure plenty of you other Skip Beat! fans are with me on this.

When the time comes for the manga to end, I'm surely going to cry my heart out.

*sigh*

Oh, and with regards to inquiries about me writing another Skip Beat! fanfic... I'm currently working on Paradise in the CCS fandom so I won't be uploading any other story until that one is over. But I do have a Skip Beat! story in the works. I'll see how that progresses and if I'm satisfied with how it goes, I'll roll with it and upload it here eventually. So for now... please be patient with me!

Well anyway, that's all from me.

Again, I hope you guys enjoyed this!

Ja ne!
