Okay! I feel bad because I rushed the ending! I tried to make it better, I hope you guys like it! this is an epilogue, and I had to fit a lot of stuff in, so once again, I apologize if you feel it's still rushed.
"Marry...you?" Sakura looked dazed.
"Yes, marry me." He grabbed her hand.
Sakura grabbed the corner of the table and sat down. She honestly didn't know what to say. His asking was such a surprise. But then, a sly smirk appeared on her face and she put her hand on top of his.
"But dear, aren't we already married?"
"Hinata, could you zip me up?" Sakura asked her maid of honor.
Hinata came around and zipped the back of her dress. It was creamy white, had lace sleeves, and had a long train on the back of it. it was almost time for the ceremony, and Sakura was beyond nervous. Her hands were shaking. So far everything went as planned. Sasuke got it straightened out with the Million Dollar Men Club that he wanted to actually marry Sakura. While surprised, they signed some papers and got things arranged. So basically, they were kind of renewing their vows, but held it like a wedding.
Sakura really had no body left from her family to bring up for the wedding, neither did Sasuke. So there were a few of the friends Sasuke could stand, some girls from Sakura's book club, Naruto and Hinata, and that was about it. It was rather small for how famous Sasuke was. Of course, they'd had some paparazzi get in to get shots for the tabloids, 'Player Settles Down, Once and for All!', or something like that. Sasuke got Sakura a better diamond ring, although she still kept the first one.
"Are you ready?" Hinata asked her. "Everyone else is ready to go."
Sakura nodded and the music began to play.
The ceremony was lovely, small, but lovely. The reception was even better. More people were invited to this one, so it was really party-like. There was a loud applause from the crowd when Sasuke extended his hand to her. The two walked out to the middle for their first dance. She wrapped her arms around his neck and he placed his on her hips. They swayed to the rhythm and Sakura leaned up to talk to him.
"I never thought it would turn out this way," She nuzzled his neck. "I love you so much, Sasuke."
"I love you too, Sakura."
The words felt new to him, they danced on his tongue. It was an odd sensation, telling a woman that and actually meaning it. He did love her, this had crossed his mind numerous times. Sure, she was hot, but he's dated a lot of hot chicks. Something was different about Sakura. Sasuke leaned down and kissed her forehead.
"I love you so, so much." Her hair smelled like strawberries and hairspray.
"Oh?" She spoke into his chest.
"I love the way you walk, the way you talk, your hair, your fingers, that little tooth that overlaps the other. I love everything."
A tear ran down her cheek and her tongue slipped out to catch it. Taking that as invitation, Sasuke captured her mouth in a chaste kiss.
They moved into a new house, it was out in the country, but not too far away from town. It was different, Sakura could watch the sun rise and sit on her front porch. It was exactly what she did every morning. The kittens were now full-grown cats, they were both wrapped around her feet while she drank chocolate milk from a blue cup at the moment.
Sasuke walked out to the front porch and placed his hand on her neck. She let out a sigh and looked up at him.
"Look, it's just so beau-" Sakura was cut off.
Riiiiiiiiingg!
"I got it!" She smiled.
The phone kept ringing as she walked into the kitchen. Sasuke came back into the house to get some coffee before he left for work.
"Hello?... This is she." Sakura's eyes widened. "Yes. Okay. Tomorrow? Okay, thank you!"
She hung the phone up and turned to Sasuke gingerly. Sakura bit her lip and placed a hand on her tummy.
"We're having a baby."
Sakura dug through the box as best she could with her tummy poking out. The bank had called her about her mother's old house. If she didn't take care of it, they were going to sell it and donate the things. There were too many memories to let that happen. So, Sasuke and her spent the weekend rummaging out her old things.
"This was the Christmas from when I was in the fourth grade." Sakura held the picture up. "I got my first bike that year."
Sasuke smiled as he watched her relive her memories. He kept packing her things into a box. Sakura stood up and waddled over to the window. She was out of breath by the time she got there. The glass fogged up from her breath and she placed a hand on the frame.
"This was my room, you know." She smiled.
The dusty pink walls had a layer of dust on them. Judging from her hair, which was natural he learned, it was her favorite color. He wasn't quite sure what to say, so he stood up and hugged her from behind, placing a hand on her abdomen.
"When I was little, we'd stand right here and she'd sing to me." Sakura put her hand on top of his. "Do you think she'd be ashamed?"
"Ashamed of?" He questioned.
"You know what I mean."
"I don't, actually. You came into my life and I fell in love with you. Nothing to be ashamed of." Sasuke put his head on her shoulder.
"I sold myself." Her face dropped.
"Doing what? Cleaning my house and making me breakfast? I'm pretty sure that's called a maid, Sakura."
Sakura turned around and hit his chest.
"I sold myself to be your sex slave, Sasuke!" She yelled.
"I don't seem to recall us having intercourse until we both felt the same." He looked at her.
Tears ran down her face and Sasuke pulled her into a hug.
"Had your mother known how you handled our situation, she would have no less respect for you as she did before." He hugged her tightly.
"I love you." Sakura smiled.
"I love you, too." Sasuke smiled back. "And our baby."
Small legs of a toddler ran across the floor above Sakura's head as she threw a load of laundry into the dryer. She smiled lightly at the sound of her baby's pitter-pattering above her. Upstairs, Sasuke sat on the floor and played with their child. He was almost two now, his birthday is coming up soon. He can walk and speak somewhat. The child was named after Sasuke's brother, Itachi.
Sakura lay in the hospital bed with the newborn baby boy cradled in her arms. She gently rocked his back and fourth. Sasuke recognized that the baby was already asleep, no need to rock him, maybe it was to calm her. He sat halfway on the bed, and slightly leaning against her shoulder. They were both taken back by the little bundle of joy that rested in her arms.
Sasuke rubbed his cheek and looked back at Sakura, she gazed at his face. She took one finger and ran it along his small nose, down his cheek and across his lips, then jumped when he twitched. Nothing looked more beautiful in the world to Sasuke than her and his child right at this moment. She seemed as though she couldn't believe he was hers, that this baby had been made by her. There were no need for words, so they didn't speak. That is, until the doctor came in.
"Have you chosen a name yet, Mrs. Uchiha?" The doctor smiled.
Sakura looked up at him. The name 'Mrs. Uchiha' rang in her head. This was real. It was all real. She married the love of her life and now she had been blessed with this beautiful baby boy.
"Why I haven't even-"
"Let's name him Itachi." Sasuke spoke up.
He glanced at Sakura, looking for her approval. She smiled and nodded yes, and then looked at the Doctor.
"Well, welcome to our world, Itachi Uchiha." The doctor patted his head.
With that the boy began to cry, and Sakura started to rock him to sleep again.
She was quite fond of that memory. Just thinking of it brought a smile to her face. She carefully snuck up the stairs to see what Sasuke was doing. Over the last step, she peeked her head out and watched him. He had Itachi in his lap, reading a book about cows to him. Various toys were spread about the room, he could get messy when playing with the baby.
She loved seeing him do it, he always acted differently when it was just him and Itachi. When others were around, he wouldn't do the cute little baby talk. Of course, he loved his child all the time, he just expressed it differently when no one was watching. Sasuke had come along way from when she first met him. He wasn't as stoic, his face held a lot more emotion than it once had. He was loving, caring, and just a happier person to be around. She loved him so much. Sasuke played with the little hairs on top of his head, and kissed his cheek. Sakura giggled accidentally and gave up her hiding place.
"Oh, spying on me again, were you?" Sasuke smiled.
"No! I couldn't help it." She laughed.
Just then the doorbell rang. Sakura jumped up and answered it enthusiastically answered it. It was Naruto, Hinata, and they're small child, Hino. Sakura gave her a hug and took the toddler out of her arms. She was practically falling over with everything she was holding.
"Shame on you, Baka!" Sakura teased. "Making your wife carry everything!"
"Oh, shit." Naruto sweat dropped. "Lemme get that for you."
"I got it, I got it." Sakura pushed him away.
She put Hino down to go play with Itachi. The two laughed and sat down with the book that Sasuke had once been reading. Sasuke and Naruto headed into the study to go sort out some things for his business. That left her and Hinata some time for good girl talk. They weren't able to see each other quite as often since they'd moved.
"Do you want anything to drink?" Sakura asked her as she walked into the kitchen.
"Hm, yes. What do you have?" Hinata followed.
Sakura dug around in the cabinets. "We have, wine, I can make daiquiri's, ooh, more wine, and uh, I have stuff to make fruity drinks too."
"Anything non-alcoholic?" Hinata asked.
"Wait why-"
Sakura spun around to Hinata holding her tummy. She ran to give her a huge hug.
"Oh, Hinata! I think this is how it happened last time, haha." Sakura hugged her.
"Oh, I know! We drink too much. But this time, Naruto knows." She giggled.
Sakura grabbed two sodas out of her fridge and brought them out to where Hinata had sat down. Hinata gave her a strange look.
'You know, just because I'm not drinking doesn't mean you can't, dear." Hinata said.
Sakura blushed and looked down.
"Wait..." Hinata's face lit up. "You're pregnant again!"
Sakura slapped her hand over her mouth. "Shh, Sasuke doesn't know!"
Sasuke came around the corner and put his hands over Sakura's eyes. "Now I know." He whispered in her ear.
"Kya! Sasuke!" Sakura yelped.
She jumped up to hug him. And spun her around and kissed her.
"And I want you all to know, I couldn't be happier about it." Sasuke smiled.
I hope you all enjoy this ending better.
