Hi,

I want to thank everyone for the responses. Unfortunately, I decided that I simply couldn't post my unfinished Tiva stories in the state that I'd left them. And I haven't been able to find any way to telepathically project my imagined Tiva happily ever after to you readers. So….I decided to finish the stories. I'm working really hard to finish them. Writing Tiva is not coming easily to me anymore, so I can't promise that my next story will be posted in the next few days. But I'm working on it, and as soon as I get my next story in a state that I deem acceptable I'll post. I'm not a 'writer'. The only writing I've ever done is the stories I posted on this site. And I'm pretty insecure about my writing. I can't post something that I don't think is decent.

Now, since I have your attention- to all the readers who liked/praised 'Jack Knife: The Aftermath', thank you so much! It's one of my favorite stories. But I did receive some very negative responses to it. Some readers were angry that I dared to write a Damon/Ziva story when I claim to be a Tiva shipper.

I'd like to defend and explain that story. Perhaps after you hear my reasoning you'll give it another chance:

I have never thought that Damon and Ziva should end up together. They are too similar. I see Damon as a male version of Ziva. And both Damon and Ziva have demons they need to face before they can accept happiness. In the time they spend together Ziva sees herself in Damon, and Damon sees himself in Ziva. In this respect they each hold up a mirror to the other which allow them to see their own reflections, free of the insecurities that warp their usual self-reflection. And by studying this reflection they both came away with a better understanding of who they are. So I did not betray Tiva. In fact, Ziva and Damon's time together helps her understand her feelings for Tony. And let's face it, Tony wasn't exactly a virgin...

I could go on and on defending why 'Jack Knife: The Aftermath' is ultimately a Tiva story, but that would just be a waste of my time. If you hate thinking that Ziva or Tony have ever been with other people, then you won't like the story. But in my Tiva world, and for the ultimate ending that I have created for Tony and Ziva, Ziva's time with Damon is key. Maybe if you look at it as a 'Ziva' story it won't be so offensive. Ziva, not Tony, is ultimately the heroine of all of my stories. I use Damon, and their time together, to explore her character. And events that occurred in 'Jack Knife: The Aftermath' will be referenced in most all my upcoming Tiva stories.

Furthermore, I was offended by the pathetic group of men that NCIS paired with Ziva romantically. Not very impressive, or worthy of her. I can't imagine a single one of them satisfying her in bed. And I believe that she fully deserved that weekend with Damon. And, if you like the smut that I write you really should read 'Jack Knife: The Aftermath.' It's the best smut that I've ever written, and there's a lot of it.
