I spent the day with my little cousins. This happened. Thank you to everyone who has reviewed, favourite'd and alerted this. I hope you all enjoy this snippet.

"I don't want any!"

Kakashi resisted the urge to bang his head on the table. "Naruto, we talked about this."

"Yeah, and I said that I didn't like them!"

"But they're good for you," Sakura insisted from the blond's other side. "How do you expect to grow if you don't eat properly?"

Naruto just turned pleading eyes to Teuchi. "But ramen's healthy, right?"

"Don't be an idiot," Sasuke hissed. "How can it be healthy when you spend ages taking the healthy bits out?"

"I'm afraid he has a point," said Teuchi apologetically. "Why don't you just try a few? I swear I won't make them taste bad."

Naruto hesitated for a brief moment, but then his face settled back into the mask of mulish stubbornness they had all become so accustomed to. "Don't want to."

Kakashi sighed and looked up from his book again. "Naruto, if you don't stay healthy your body won't be strong enough to perform any powerful jutsu."

Enormous blue eyes stared up at him. "What?"

Kakashi nodded, careful not to let his amusement come across in his voice or eyes. "Do you really want to miss out on being Hokage just because you don't want to eat your vegetables?"

The words had barely left his mouth before Naruto was demanding extra helpings. Kakashi allowed his eyes to close for a moment. He was never ever going to be a parent.
