I saw a prompt on Tumblr and I decided to write a little drabble on it. A bit sad and feelsy, so I hope you enjoy~

Huh? Where am I? It's so cold…His eyes were open but his vision was a little blurry. Slowly his eyes began to adjust to his surroundings. He saw the corporal standing there, talking with the commander and Squad Leader Hanji. He opened his mouth to speak,

"Heichou!"

…but no words came out. In fact, his body wasn't responding to him. Huh? What's going on? Then, in a sudden burst, his memories came to him. Eren remembered what happened…on that sunny day.

Reiner and Bertholdt were too strong…the Scouting Legion was too weak. He couldn't let himself be captured by these assholes. There was no way…so he…

Eren wanted to cry, but no tears fell from his motionless eyes. He wanted to reach out to the one he held dear…when did I start thinking like that? When did I…for Heichou? The shifter cringed at the sharp pain in his chest, wanting to release himself from this prison. Why can't he free himself? The hard crystal membrane that surrounded his skin was not budging.

"Hey, Jaeger." Eren flinched at his name…at the sound of his voice. A pale hand was placed gently against the surface of his prison. "Can ya hear me?" The corporal's eyes did not look at Eren's frozen body. "Probably not, huh…" Yes I can, Heichou! Please look at me! "Listen…what happened back there…it's okay now. You don't have to be afraid." Eren wanted to cry. "Ya can come out now. The traitors are gone…you're safe." Rivaille turned his head a little to look at the teen trapped in the crystal, but he couldn't bear the sight much longer as he turned so his back was facing Eren. "Do ya not trust me?" Eren was mentally screaming. Why couldn't he break free? When the corporal was suffering right in front of his eyes, why can't he…

"It's fine if ya don't. I'm not exactly trustworthy material." I trust you, Heichou! I'm right here! "Just come out soon, 'kay? Humanity needs ya." Eren couldn't take it. With all of his might he screamed and cried out, hoping the other could see him. Why couldn't anyone see that he was crying for help? Rivaille turned around to look back on the ground, hearing something strange.

The man knelt down, moving a single finger towards a spot on the floor.

There was a teardrop on the floor.

The corporal stood up slowly and stared at the crystal block.

He smiled.

"…come out soon…"
