Wow. The last chappie?

Is it really time? I don't think I'm ready for this. Can't there just like be one more...? *sigh* It's been amazing guys, this story was obviously one of my successful ones. I'm sad that it's coming to an end though. Hopefully, the fact that I have 2 NEW stories coming out on the 15th will make up for it. Oh and BAD NEWS: I deleted Mine. Yea, it's gone. Erased from existence. I'm sorry, don't hate me. I rarely (oh so rarely ) delete stories from existence. I tend to do it when I lose all inspiration and motivation. And concentration. And dedication. And...I'm done. Lolz. But yea, sorry about that.

So, I guess you want to read the final chappie naow? I hope you enjoy it, I really do guys.

Kuki stared at the blonde on the bed. Motionless. His chest rose and fell with each delicate breath he took. Kuki hadn't blinked since she entered the room, you never know. One second he could be there and the next he could be gone. She wasn't going to risk it no matter how realistically unrealistic it was. She had been in the hospital room for close to an hour, she thought. She let her eyes briefly flicker to the clock as the door opened.

"How's it going?" Jessica asked, pulling a seat up next to Kuki. Kuki shrugged. "You've been here for 6 hours, you can't give me a shrug for an hour." Jessica sighed, running a hand through her hair with a frown. "What are you thinking of, you've been sitting here and analyzing every single detail about him like he's going to be taken from you any second now, seriously what's up."

"It's possible." Kuki whispered. "He could be taken away this very second," She let her eyes flicker back to the blonde for a split second. "I don't want to lose him." As the words left her lips she halted. She licked her lips and voiced her nagging question. "How's Jessie?" She asked, her voice coming out scratchy. Jessica eyed her seriously before she even considered answering.

"She's depressed." Jessica watched Kuki chew on her lip as the Asian continued watching the blonde. "Shaunie's dead." Jessica said weakly, keeping her voice low. "She's a wreck, she's been crying non-stop, and she hasn't even looked up from her hands. She's always covering her face and sobbing when she's by herself or at least when she thinks is. My mother won't leave her alone, she's scared she'll commit suicide out of depression." Jessica sighed. Kuki looked at her and Jessica continued, answering the unvoiced question. "My mom's okay. The asylum was shut down though. All the patients were transferred out and spread across the country." Kuki nodded slowly. "Surprisingly that kid, Adam? The 11-year-old? His files were looked over, he wasn't supposed to even be there. He was supposed to WORK there! Can you believe it? No wonder he was so good at predicting what people were about to say, he was supposed to be working in the children's ward. They thought since he was mature and the children in that ward were all stable and not violent or dangerous in any way that it'd be appropriate for him to work with them and help them sort out all their problems. He hadn't even snapped at us when we treated him like crap, he took it like a man and he never complained. He wasn't dangerous, he never even mentioned how he was innocent of all things. He just took it like a man. A man! He was only 11! What type of training did he go through!?" Jessica sighed and leaned back in her chair.

"That's interesting." Kuki was looking at the blonde again. Jessica sighed.

"He's alive." She said. "Can't you be happy? He's not dead."

"Yet." Kuki hissed. Jessica scowled and turned to look at her friend.

"Kuki..." She frowned, obviously annoyed. "Shaunie is DEAD. He's gone. Jessie won't get the chance to ever see him again besides at the open casket viewing and funeral. Okay? Can you take just a second to think about how LUCKY you are? My sister is out there crying her eyes out and here you are being stubborn and ungrateful. It's like you want him to be dead just so you have a reason to moan and cry about it. Please grow up, seriously. You're too young for this. You've got to stop being so ignorant. Why don't you take a second to go and comfort Jessie? She actually lost someone, Wally's not dying anytime soon. Wait, actually. No. You can stay in here and be a baby, I'LL go and be the better person. I'm not going to be as selfish as you. If you want pity I'm all out, you have nothing to be sad about. He's hurt, boo-hoo. Put a band-aid on it. He's waking up in a few hours. Shaunie will never wake up again. That's pretty tragic...and all you can think about is how BAD you have it." Jessica spat. "I hope you're happy." She said, stalking out of the room. Kuki bit back tears. Jessica had been correct in he accusation. Kuki didn't even have it bad. She was lucky. He was alive and would be awake any second now. She sighed and slowly stood to her feet. She looked back at the blonde once more. He would be awake. Any moment now. She frowned and left the room.

"How are you feeling?" A nurse asked. Wally shrugged lazily. He felt dizzy, sick, tired, exhausted (both emotionally and physically), and he just wanted to fall off the face of the earth. He looked around lazily. He was in...the infirmary? No. The nurse's there weren't so kind. "Hm. I think I may need to up your dose of medicine." The woman spoke softly. So he was in the basement experimental lab? No, the walls were a pale orange cream color here. In the asylum's basement it was all cemented blocks. Wally sighed. The air was cool against his face. So where was he than? "Ah, here we are." The nurse returned and plugged a new IV up and the blonde sighed as a feeling of energy rushed through him all of a sudden. "Hm, that's better." She sighed and lightly patted his head. She turned to leave the room.

"Mm, ma'am?" Wally asked softly, not realizing how hoarse his voice was.

"Yes?" The nurse turned with a cheerful smile on her face.

"Where am I?" Wally asked slowly, realizing that when he spoke his head ached like something else.

"Cleveland Hospital." She answered.

"Oh." Wally looked down, ouch. Eye movement hurt too. He was alive at least. He noticed the nurse looking at him for a moment before she turned away.

"W-Wait." Wally called out. She turned back and he kept his head low as he whispered his next words. "Th-Thank you." He said softly. She smiled and gave a nod before she turned and reported back to the desk. He looked around, feeling the pain weaken. He wondered where Kuki was suddenly. She had been the last thing he saw before he blacked out. He wondered how long he had been out but couldn't find a calendar anywhere in the room. The wall next to his bed was empty as was the desk. So now get well cards? Not even from Kuki? He relaxed. Well it WAS a temporary guest room so they must have been expecting his to awaken. Wait, why was he even IN a hospital? Why not the asylum care stations? Were his injuries too serious? Wally looked down and slowly sat up before he cautiously lifted his shirt up. A thick white bandage was wrapped numerously around his stomach. He frowned, it wasn't that bad. SO why was he moved here instead of the care stations in the asylum. He sighed and thought about Kuki. Where was she? Did she even know he was alive? He turned over slowly. What happened? Was Kuki even okay? Where was Shaunie? Where was Jessie? What happened! He frowned due to being so upset and confused. He needed answers! He couldn't live without knowing if Kuki was okay. The door opened and he looked up slowly.

"Hey," His eyes widened.

"Hey." He spoke. He couldn't believe it.

"I know I'm the last person you expect to see, but..." Mrs. Stack sighed. "I know you're confused." She spoke softly.

"Wh-Why?" Wally asked softly, tears springing to his eyes. "Angela!" He cried angrily. He squeezed the hospital blankets in his hands as hard as possible, very much wanting to tear it to shreds and then smother the person in front of him. "Where-Where the hell were you!?" He shrieked. "Where have you been for the past 10 years of my life!" He yelled. "I needed you!" He said angrily. "Do you know where I was! They put me in an asylum!" He said. "Do you know what I went through!?" He yelled. "You told me everything would be okay, but you lied Angela! You lied to me! For the past 10 years I was stuck in hell being doped up on weird medicines and experimented on. My nightmare had come true and you weren't there to protect me. But I get shot, end up in a cruddy hospital and here you are. Why?" He asked as tears slipped out. "Why now?" He asked. Mrs. Stack was quiet. How could she tell him? How could she tell him that for the past 10 years she had been hiding in plain sight. She had been only been right beside him the entire time. He just didn't know. What was she supposed to tell him? That she was the manager of his own personal hell? All he knew was that she was his therapist from 10 years ago and had 'disappeared' in his time of need. "Why...?" The blonde cried out. "When I needed you-?"

"I was there." She whispered. "Wally, I was always there. I just couldn't reach out to you." She said sadly as she shook her head in shame.

"What are you talking about?" The sadness drained from his tone and he was daring her to speak.

"I work there. I worked at the asylum. I-." She paused. "I was the manager." She said. His green eyes widened and only moments later they were full of every possible form of hate in existence. She waited for him to speak but he wouldn't because in that moment he didn't have control of his voice. Mrs. Stack sighed and slowly continued. "After the incident with your parents," Wally flinched at her voice. How had he trusted her? "They refused to let me see you. I continuously tried to get you back. I didn't want to break my promise to you. I had promised that I wouldn't let them get you, and I failed. So I fought hard to get you back and eventually they became fed up with me and they revoked my license. I couldn't work as a therapist anymore and so I started working at the asylum. I leveled up pass each level and eventually I found out where they were keeping you. I knew to get access to you I had to be of high status and so I worked up to Manager and then I found out that I couldn't touch you. I wasn't allowed to work with you or even approach you, manager or not, I would be fired and most likely arrested for trying. Oh Wally, I tried so hard." She said sadly. Wally still glared at her, but he appeared just the slightest less upset. Just the slightest, and that enough made Angela continue. "When that girl, Kuki came. I remembered her. I saw her in the hallway and I knew that if I challenged her in some way that I could get her to challenge me back, she accepted that challenge and I knew that if I told Genki over and over again how immature her daughter was than she'd repeat the same thing back to Kuki herself and that was what got Kuki volunteering for the job. I knew which ward is was in. Yours. If Kuki eventually recognized you and you the same, I had a feeling that a girl with her type of motivation and determination would to such lengths as illegally accessing private files just to set you free." Mrs. Stack said. "You're no longer a patient at the Asylum and according to your records you never were. Every single file or piece of evidence has been wiped away for eternity." She said slowly. "It was Kuki's plan and she had succeeded." Mrs. Stack smiled. The blonde's eyes were dull and emotionless. Mrs. Stack figured that she had better leave him and let him think it over. She stood to her feet and shuffled towards the door.

"Angela." The boy croaked. She stopped. "Th-Thank you." He said.

"You shouldn't be thanking me, you shouldn't even forgive me." She sighed. Wally stayed silent. "I broke a promise Wally, and I remember correctly you have a promise that you made to yourself that you should be fulfilling soon." She said and for a moment Wally went dumb and had to dig through his memory and then it clicked. He grinned suddenly.

"Thank you." He repeated. Angela let a small smile slip onto her face and she gave a small curt nod before exiting the room. The blonde sat in silence, only a portion of his questions were answered. Where was Kuki NOW? Where was everyone? Why was he out of the Asylum exactly? How had the records been wiped? What? What? WHAT? He sighed since nothing made since and decided to get some shut eye since he was still exhausted to the max. He let his eyes drift shut, the clock on the wall reading 6:45 PM.

"He'll be out of here by tomorrow night. We just want to keep him here an extra day to ensure that he's to his max health and he's okay to face the outside world." Wally heard the nurse say.

"Mhm." A voice hummed.

"Yes, I've already up-ed his dose on the medicine and it's showing beneficial improvement. He's stable too and lucky for us he didn't slip into a coma, just slept so long due to stress levels." The nurse said.

"Oh, okay." The 2nd person replied again.

"Yeah, so if you want I'll just leave you two alone." The nurse said cheerfully before Wally heard the click of the door shutting. He heard some shuffling from around the room, the squeak of a chair being pulled across the floor, and then a sigh as someone sat down. He blinked an eye open and looked at the clock. 11:49 PM. It had only felt like seconds, had he really slept that long? He yawned and sat up slowly, feeling a sense of queasiness fall over him. He stopped and took a few deep breaths. He looked around and spotted that girl sitting in the chair.

"You." He said softly. Jessica looked up in surprise.

"Uh yea." She said uncertainly. "Me." She said. Wally knitted his eyebrows together.

"Where is Kuki? Where's Shaunie? Where's Jessie?" He asked. Those were the last 3 people he had seen before he blacked out. He needed details now. "How come my records are wiped, what happened at the asylum?" He asked. Jessica bit her lip and leaned back, letting her head droop forwards causing her hair to fall over her face. "..." She met Wally's eyes for a brief second before looking away again.

"Shaunie." She said softly. "Shaunie died yesterday." She said, watching Wally's eyes widened before the blonde clenched the sheets angrily. "Jessie's crying somewhere." She said. "Kuki's..." Jessica bit her lip again. Wally leaned forward in anticipation. "I don't know where Kuki is." She sighed suddenly, guilt pouncing on her like a mouse on cheese. Wally's eyes bulged.

"What?" He asked in shock. Jessica gasped, seeing that there was a double meaning to that.

"No, no. Kuki's fine. She's fine, W-Wally." She said, not used to calling him by his real name. "She was here earlier actually. She was by your side for 6 hours in fact. She wouldn't leave. She didn't even blink dude. She was even scared to blink because she though it would take away from your endless supply of fresh air." Jessica chuckled awkwardly and Wally visibly relaxed. "But she left around 3 and it's been 8 hours. She should be back any time now." Jessica shrugged. A look of concentration and deep thought took over Wally's features and then:

"Can you help me?" He asked. Jessica raised an eyebrow.

"Sure, with what?" She asked and watched as a devious grin spread across Wally's face.

"Is he up yet?" Kuki entered the room to find it empty. She had taken a few hours away from the intoxicating presence of the blonde and gone to Lime Rickey's and downed a few smoothies and root beer floats. She had just returned and the nurse told her that Wally was in here but still resting and that Jessica was in here too, but all Kuki saw was the lump on the bed. She sighed, he was still sleeping then. She sat in the chair next to his bed and frowned. What if he had gone into a coma and they didn't know? Or what if he was dead!? What if he had woken up when she was gone? She was suddenly over come with sadness and she didn't want Wally to wake up and see her crying. She went over to the window and stood behind the curtain for a while, letting it all out. She had lost him when she was 6. She wasn't losing him again. She sighed and shook her head sadly. "What would Wally say if he saw me like this?" She turned to go back and sit down but her eyes glazed over and her jaw dropped.

"I'd blame myself."

"W-Wall-Wally?" Kuki squeaked out. The blonde grinned childishly.

"I'd blame myself. I'd think that you were too pretty to cry. I think it was all my fault for not waking up soon enough. The blonde was sitting in the chair and Kuki looked over to the bed before glancing back at him. "Yea," He said softly. "It's me." Kuki felt herself fall forward and the blonde grabbed her before she hit the floor. He pulled her to his chest and buried his face in her neck, his voice shaking as he started to speak. "I thought I lost you." he whispered.

"I-I thought I lost YOU." Kuki croaked out whilst crying.

"Do you know how I felt when I blacked out? I felt lost. I risked myself for you and then I fell unconscious. I didn't care that I could have been dead. I care that I could have been dead and wouldn't be there to protect you. Jessica told me, she came and she told me and she explained Shaunie's plan and Shaunie...God, she told me about Shaunie and Jessie and when I asked about you she told me what happened and how I'm free and Kuki..." He trailed off. "You risked everything you had to get me out of the horrid place and the only thing I could do in return was take that bullet for you, but even then I had failed you and left you vulnerable. They could've killed you Kuki, God." He leaned back and let his hands wander over her face. "I'm so sorry-." He whispered, placing his forehead against hers and sighing deeply.

"That bullet could have killed me." She whispered. "And the fact that you took it for me even if there was a chance of dying and prolonging my life span my only a few moments longer...it still meant everything Wally." Kuki whispered. Wally's eyes shined. He seemed deep in concentration and stepped back, Kuki's eyes filled with worry. "W-Wally, what's wrong?" The boy didn't respond. He just shoved his hand deep in his pocket.

"Jessica cam earlier," He repeated. "Her mom did too and they both told me everything, Kooks." He said. Kuki's face lit up with anticipation. "And...it took a few hours because I had to walk without getting dizzy and Jessica had to find some string and I really suck at tying knots and it was so small and crud my fingers are still red." He sighed, but lowered himself to the floor. "I practiced with Jessica and did fine, but I guess I'm just babbling nonsense with you so I'll just erm...pop the question now I guess." He paused. "Kuki will you marry me?" He asked. Time stopped. No, it literally stopped. Kuki could feel her heart pounding in her chest. Wally stared at her with determination clear on his face. Kuki felt her hands become clammy and her breath caught in her throat. She swallowed nervously and it took her 5 minutes to realize that time HADN'T stopped and this wasn't a movie. Wally was still on one knee and Kuki finally looked at his hands. Two rings. Made of string. She raised an eyebrow and then...

"Best friends can get married right?"

"Why do you always talk about getting married?" Kuki pondered innocently. Wally blushed.

"I was just wondering, geez ya cruddy sheila. It doesn't even matter." He muttered.

"I think a ring would squeeze my finger." Kuki admitted. "And it might hurt." She added.

"Oh well, we could just tie a string around our fingers." Wally suggested.

"That'd work." Kuki agreed. The blonde smiled at his naive friend. One day she would be all his. (Chappie 11)

Kuki smiled softly. "When?" She asked. Wally stood up and shrugged.

"I dunno, I'm only 17." He said casually. "I mean I don't even have belongings or a house or...crud. I didn't necessarily plan this out, kay? I sorta just decided to wing it and go with the flow and-."

"Yes." Kuki whispered so softly that Wally could barely hear her.

"What?" He asked.

"Yes." She repeated louder. "I want to. I do. When we're like older or something, but still yes!" She cried out happily as Wally picked her up and span her around in glee. "And you can stay with my parents, they probably don't even remember you!" She said. "We can get you a job and go shopping and-." The blonde abruptly stopped and set her back on her feet.

"Whoa, whoa. I'm not your gay friend or anything." He said suddenly, putting his hands up in mock surrender.

"Of course not." Kuki smiled. *PREPARE FOR EXTRA CHEESY WITH CHEESE ON THE SIDE ENDING* She stepped closer to the blonde and slipped her hands around his neck. "You're my lover." She leaned closer and rubbed her nose against his in an adorable gesture. "My asylum lover." She whispered. She leaned in to kiss him and smiled when he kissed back. It was official. They were together. After 10 years ago they were separated and now they were as close as emotionally possible.

"Ew, stop. I don't need to see this." Suddenly the lump on the bed sat up and the blanket slipped off to reveal Jessica. "Wally you said I'd pretend to be you under the blanket, not witness an overly dramatic kissing scene." She groaned, pulling the blanket back. "Ya know what? I'll just wait in the lobby. Shout when your done, or don't shout at all I don't care." She walked out and Kuki stared wide-eyed. Wally grinned and pulled her closer.

"She's sorta right." He whispered.

"Hm, about what?" She asked.

"I'm not your asylum lover?" He stated. Kuki knitted her eyebrows together.

"I'm your boyfriend." The blonde whispered, leaning in for one final kiss. Kuki smiled. Maybe Jessica was right, maybe it was sorta over dramatic. But as long as Kuki had Wally and vice-versa...she wouldn't want it any other way.
